"Out of all the hotels I have stayed at in downtown Montreal this was the best one on all levels of quality. The property is well kept and up to date on renovations. Nothing looks worn down or old. The place is spotless clean! The number one thing you want in a hotel is cleanliness before anything else, and this hotel has that. I would rank this hotel at a higher star rating than the Marriott downtown, which I have also stayed at, but much cheaper in price comparison. I would easily give it a 4 star and it's crime that it has not been given that rating! I pulled off all of the sheets and liners and inspected the bed mattresses top and bottom, the box springs top and bottom, the pillows in the pillow cases, etc and all were spotless and looked brand new!!! I did the dust test, swiping my finger on top of the television, pictures on the wall, and other locations within the room, all were dust free! The bathroom had no mold issue and the fixtures within the spacious shower were spotless as well. I normally would NEVER eat at a hotel but I did at this one. Not only did the restaurant exceed my expectations for cleanliness, the food was actually good. Just to give one an idea of how clean this hotel is, their was an employee who wiped down every chair and chair arm within the eating area after each use. None of the dishes had chips or cracks in them, a very important detail for anyone who knows about cleanliness within the food industry btw. The salt and pepper shakers were also crystal clean. I was very impressed indeed!!! The hotel also permitted me to keep my car parked in their parking for a couple hours after my checkout without extra charge. The staff are very professional and polite. All service was carried out quick and felt welcoming. By far this is the best hotel I have stayed at in Montreal. I highly recommend, especially for long stays. If this hotel does not meet someones expectations then I seriously don't know what more they are looking for?!"

From Polar Bears to Jazz Festivals

The predominantly French-speaking part of Canada, Quebec is a fascinating region of strong contrasts. With stunning natural wildlife and European-style cities, Quebec features over 8000 lakes, 750,000 square kilometres of forests and 4 different climatic zones.

Its largest city, Montreal, is said to be the only place in the world where the sun rises in the south, due to the unconventional compass used by the locals. Its old town, Old Montreal, with its cobblestoned streets and historic buildings, is a real jewel and a definite must-see.

Head to the region’s capital, Quebec City, to admire the majestic Chateau Frontenac. Stroll along the fortification walls around romantic Old Quebec or try one of the over 300 cheeses produced in the region.

After an intense city break, there is nothing more relaxing than the vast spaces of nature, untouched by the human hand and allowing one to spot a polar bear, a moose or even a blue whale.

So whether you’re a nature lover keen on summer and winter sports, or a culture vulture hungry for music festivals and independent cinema, you will find all that and more in Quebec. Booking.com offers over 1200 properties so you can choose between hotels, motels and cosy inns.
