Great location. The building is modern and aesthetic. Being a monastery, there's a beautiful curated exhibition about it's history. The breakfast was amazing as well. The rooms were comfortable, and the bathrooms, although shared, were large and spotless. As a solo female traveller, it was very safe and comfortable

FAQs about hotels in Quebec

From Polar Bears to Jazz Festivals

The predominantly French-speaking part of Canada, Quebec is a fascinating region of strong contrasts. With stunning natural wildlife and European-style cities, Quebec features over 8000 lakes, 750,000 square kilometres of forests and 4 different climatic zones.

Its largest city, Montreal, is said to be the only place in the world where the sun rises in the south, due to the unconventional compass used by the locals. Its old town, Old Montreal, with its cobblestoned streets and historic buildings, is a real jewel and a definite must-see.

Head to the region’s capital, Quebec City, to admire the majestic Chateau Frontenac. Stroll along the fortification walls around romantic Old Quebec or try one of the over 300 cheeses produced in the region.

After an intense city break, there is nothing more relaxing than the vast spaces of nature, untouched by the human hand and allowing one to spot a polar bear, a moose or even a blue whale.

So whether you’re a nature lover keen on summer and winter sports, or a culture vulture hungry for music festivals and independent cinema, you will find all that and more in Quebec. Booking.com offers over 1200 properties so you can choose between hotels, motels and cosy inns.

Gite du Mont-Albert is basically one of the very few locations to stay in the Gaspesie NP unless you are camping, and what a location it is! We were super impressed with the level of comfort and the cuisine offered at the restaurant and have thouroughly enjoyed not only the hikes in the park but also our evenings and meals here. The breakfast is also legendary! The room was very large, very comfy and clean, and offered amazing mountain views. It is truly a pearl in the midst of prestine nature of Quebec. We are very impressed with the level of service offered by Sepaq. Thank you - it could not have been better!

It was an amazing and unique experience. The staff were so kind. I tried very hard to speak my best Franglish from what I learned in school, They listened and helped me to communicate well. We were greeted at the door by a character in stilts and it was a welcome we will never forget. There was life entertainment at the pool. It was absolutely magical.

Beautiful city with a lot to do!

Beautiful city with a lot to do! I wish I had more time to explore the city more. I stayed just outside the Quartier Latin since I was only in the city to see a show at the Theatre St-Denis and didn't stay long. I was able to make a stop at the iconic St-Viateur Bagel before I left. Above all, the people with exceptionally helpful and kind, which this monolingual American appreciated. I loved seeing all of the French language everywhere. Montreal, and Quebec as a province, is an absolute treasure to have in North America. I could not have enjoyed my visit more.

Québec City is still a place you can walk and enjoy at a human scale. Quebec is the Cradle of French North America, where the St. Lawrence narrows into the key to a continent, and Haute-Ville and Basse-Ville stack four centuries of fortress, churches, and riverfront street on one cliff. It is proud of its history, quaint without becoming a museum, and alive with people who know how to live through a serious winter and spend every hour of summer light. From the Plains of Abraham and the Citadel down through the gates to Dufferin Terrace, the Château, Place-Royale, and Petit-Champlain, every block holds the past and the present at once — a national treasure that leaves you hungry for more. Fortunately, excellent food for every budget is also within walking distance..

We arrived mid afternoon and left the next morning so we didn't get to see everything although it worked well for us. We did the self guided walking tour which was fun and informative. There were a surprising number of homeless people that we encountered. No visible use of drugs or displays of psychosis. We felt safe everywhere. The city looked a little run down in many areas compared to Quebec or Old Montreal. The Jail is cool and the parks along Le Fleuve were great.

The cleanliness was poor, the blanket was dirty, and the room and bathroom needed better cleaning. There was no kettle, no proper drinking water, and no safety handle in the bathtub. Some staff were aggressive and unprofessional, and my privacy was not respected when my room door was pushed open. Overall, the experience was disappointing.

The tour of the Onondaga, The Empress of Ireland and the Lighthouse and outer buildings was absolutely fabulous. Souvenirs could be purchased either at the Boutique by the submarine or in the Ice Cream Shop run by Parks Canada.
