The room was very luxurious, and the espresso machine and water were freely available on the other floors. The body soap and hair shampoo used L'Oxitane and had a nice scent, and all the staff were kind. I would like to stay again when I come to Quebec City

The location of the hotel is excellent if you want to visit restaurants and old Quebec. All in walking distance. The walk is beautiful but hilly so if walking is difficult or have very small children a car may be necessary but finding parking may be difficult. Overall all a good experience but may be more enjoyable if winter is not your favourite. But if it is then location is absolutely beautiful and can enjoy many hours outdoor.

Quebec City is a charming and historic destination that feels distinctly European in North America. Its well-preserved Old Town, cobblestone streets, rich French culture, and warm atmosphere make it an unforgettable place to visit, especially for Christmas time.

The Christmas markets and lights were beautiful. Christmas decorations and lights were everywhere. Food was great. It felt like I was in Europe. Everyone spoke French however most understood English. Nice opportunity for people learning French to practice.

Quebec City is only about 1.5-2 hour flight for me, but it felt very much like I was in Europe. The city is charming, the people are friendly and hospitable, and with so much to see and do. I went in early December but the holiday decorations and Christmas markets were just beginning, adding to the excitement of the holiday season. Most definitely will be returning!

We stayed a week and we able to explore without feeling rushed. We picked this time of year for the Christmas Markets and snow. Due to it being low season some of the attractions were not open and this was a disappointment as we love history. My fault for not researching before. The Museum of Cilivilation is a must and we spent 4 hours in there and still didn't see it all! (but I read everything!) I can't recommend any restruants per say as they were all good and friendly.

The staff upon arrival were very friendly and the room was a good size with a comfy bed. We enjoyed breakfast in the hotels restaurant which was lovely. The hotel is located in a very beautiful area of the lower town with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. To get to the old town you can either take the bus (the hotel is part of a programme that gives it's guests free bus travel for 3 days so worth asking at reception for some tickets), or if you prefer you can walk to the funicular and either take that up or walk up the stairs.

I like the concept of this hotel. By European standards the rooms are actually quite large, even without the bed lifted up to the ceiling. We liked the camaraderie of the shared kitchen, every one got along and we were able to prepare some pretty good breakfasts. The location was great, right in the center of the old town, walking distance to the railway station and the Citadel.
