The lodge was a great spot for a brief one night stop over on our way through town. I was pleasantly surprised with how spacious comfortable and clean the room was, and how cozy and homey the lodge felt.

The breakfast was fine. Fruit and yogurt. Access to washer and dryer was a great option. Location was walkable to all that we wanted to see. Appreciate the 3 ways to enter the building rather than lugging everything thru front lobby.

A fabulous welcome to a truly iconic location. We were immediately made to feel so welcomed by every one of the staff and the locals we met in the hotel bar. Our room was in the main lodge and had amazing views straight up the mountains. A real 5-star luxury experience that is becoming rarer and rarer these days. If I could rate higher, I would. We have already booked to go back in a few months. A special mention has to go to the impeccably mannered staff at the bar / restaurant - in particular Alex and Adam - for making us feel like part of the community.

Travellers from Australia. Spent 2 nights at the lodge. Great rooms, particularly the comfy bed. Amazing pub food and delicious breakfast. The staff were brilliant particularly Laura who assisted us above and beyond after we couldn't get the Wi-Fi or TV working then locked out self out of the bathroom...one call to reception and up came Laura with the toolbox..this girl needs a promotion you have a diamond. Thank you so much. Clare and Andy.🦘🦘

This suite was immaculate. New appliances like stove, fridge dishwasher, microwave and well stocked kitchen, comfy beds and living room. Couldn't ask for a better location. Pool was warm and hot tub was great. Bbqs worked well and gas fireplace was a nice touch. Having The Quest ski rentals in the building was excellent. Underground parking that fit our truck was a bonus. The lodge called to make sure we received our checkin info.

Fernie is situated in a gorgeous location - mountains, a river, historic buildings. So close to winter sports but without the crowds of other Canadian resorts. A good variety of restaurants and places to stay for all budgets. A mama moose and calf made our last visit picture-perfect, seen wading at the river's edge as we entered the town. We love Fernie!

Very pretty, walkable small town. Downtown on Saturday night was very quiet. Lots of restaurant choices for dinner, we ended up at the Bridge Bistro - loved the river walk on the way back to our hotel. Mountain views everywhere! Great hiking at the Fernie Alpine resort.

Fernie is a great small town only 3 hours from Calgary by car. People are friendly and it has a great outdoorsy vibe. In summer there are lots of options for mtn biking and hiking, but also white water rafting, fishing and golfing. There are several stores that sell outdoor gear as well as several places for hiring gear like mtn bikes in summer and boards/skis in winter. There is enough cultural sites to provide interest for a few days including a small museum. The mtn scenery is incredible.
