The rooms were comfortable and came equipped with all the necessary amenities. A definite highlight was the outdoor hot jacuzzi, which was the perfect way to complete a ski date in the cold weather. It was also great that our stay included access to many activities in the village and a voucher for dining in at the hotel restaurant. Finally, a special mention must go to Kelvin at the reception, whose kind and professional help made our stay truly exceptional.

Nice area, lots of restaurants and shopping, even though it was early November. The free shuttle bus between the unit and Blue Mountain Village was very easy to book and the drivers were very accommodating.

I grew up and lived there.

I grew up and lived there. I left the last time 25 years ago and it has deteriorated noticeably since then. Not a great place to visit and I wouldn't want to live there now. Use the by-pass if you can to travel around. If you are hungry, eat in Rockford.

Meaford is a hidden gem.

Meaford is a hidden gem. They have the beautiful harbour, walking trails, new library, great shops, restaurants and Meaford Hall with first rate entertainment. If you are lucky to be there on market day check out the local fresh produce, crafts and butter tarts. Check out The Red Door Pub and The Dam Pub for great food. Tilleys has an awesome breakfast and really reasonable. In fact I don't know how they keep their prices so affortable. You can walk everywhere and with the price of gas that is wonderful. We ate well during our stay but we walked off those extra calories. The people around town were amazingly friendly. Be proud Meaford.

The shower in my room was luke warm at best.

The shower in my room was luke warm at best. The location was adjacent to a Dollarama where I was twice harassed and threatened by meth heads. Management rented the rooms immediately beside mine even though there were many others available that weren’t. I was subsequently awakened by a loud pickup truck on two mornings at 6 am. When I returned the key at 7:15 am there was a meth head smoking marijuana right beside a sign prohibiting such behaviours. Security is lax there. I didn’t feel safe.

We were there on a Monday night - be aware that many of the local restaurants are closed on Mondays/Tuesdays. We drove to Hearts restaurant in Kimberly for dinner which was EXCELLENT (not inexpensive, but the food was fantastic). We were very glad that the restaurant attached to Leela's Villa (but run by a third party) was open for breakfast and lunch. They serve great food too - what I would call the perfect "truck stop" breakfast (and I mean that in the most favourable way). Homemade home fries, so good! Perfect breakfast before a big day of hiking.

Blue mountain is a must see place for any time of the year. The volunteers and staff at all the activity areas were fantastic, knowledgeable and clearly explained the instructions and safety protocols for all activities. Location is maintained very clean. Very good for families.

Owen Sound is a lovely community.

Owen Sound is a lovely community. Everyone I encountered was very nice and people chat to you and smile. I am not sure of what there is to do in Owen Sound in January but I went to Harrison Park for a walk and then to Inglis Falls for pictures. There are lots of trails in the area.. As for dining out there are many good restaurants to chose from.

It is was Monday so a lot was closed including eating facilities we would have gone to....we went to Thornbury for dinner. I love Meaford and would highly recommend visiting but careful accommodations especially if you have a dog.

The room I’m staying in was not to the quality shown in the pictures. The hot water didn’t work. The tub didn’t plug. The heater just made rattling noises every few minutes but gave off no heat. The door to hallway wouldn’t close all the way unless I put something heavy in front of it. Finally I was very close to the wifi router and the wifi would still kick out every few minutes. They also tried charging me more ($100/night more) then what was advertised when booking because I was staying over a holiday weekend. Overall it was not a good experience for me and I will not be staying again.

It's tons of fun with a lot of different activities.

It's tons of fun with a lot of different activities. Could be fun in summer, fall, winter! There was a lot of good food, the hiking was good, prices were reasonable for a tourist village. We want to go back with our kids! Twist Kitchen and cocktail was fantastic.
