The owner was so kind !!! I recommend that place just for him. I was exhausted traveling across the west to the east coast and I couldn't get to his hotel earlier. I came at night and he offered me a late check out. He was lovely and offered me that I didn't answer for this. I find he had hospitality.

The city is clean and we only stayed 1 night so did not see...
The city is clean and we only stayed 1 night so did not see any attractions. Everyone I met was friendly. What stood out for me were the terrible drivers. Aggressive behavior on the streets at every turn. roundabout and traffic light.

Thunder Bay seems to be thriving yet a bit industrial.
Thunder Bay seems to be thriving yet a bit industrial. The dining scene in town was pricey at Nooks restaurant, but bustling and good. Drove the lake front but nothing exceptional.
Overall, great day trip for the experience. We are from Minnesota and traveled the North shore from Minneapolis. Also stayed 1 night at Cove point, in Beaver Creek, MN. Very beautiful, but also more over priced and tired room.
