Gorgeous hotel with a modern, cosy design that fits with the Swiss alpine feel. We had an incredible view of the mountains from our room. The staff were super helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delicious. The spa was also very nice and well-equipped. The location is perfect for getting to all the main areas of the village.

The room was like brand new rooms though the building was old. The beds and bathroom were neat clean and comfy. The Balcony view was amaxzing and nothing to beat it. The private beach was a great bonus. The staff were extremely friednly and helpful both during check in and during breakfast. The breakfast was Eur 14 and fully worth it - lot of option and more than sufficient. Would recommend this to anyone who pass by Lausanne or Montreaux to stay here. Since it was on the French side of the lake it was very cheap comparted to Swiss hotel near by. All in on a very great experience in a well located scenic hotel in the Montreaux to Geneva area

Friendly, warm hosts who made us feel very welcome. They were very accommodating with our bicycles. The breakfast was superb and better than anything you would find in a 5 star hotel. Great location and comfortable room. The view of the Mont Blanc express from our window was very special. Would stay here again and for longer to explore the mountains nearby

Hotel is quite old, but very well maintained and clean. We especially enjoyed the spa with outdoor heated pool and three saunas. Outdoor pool, hot tub and saunas are all 16+ years accessible only. Great dinner choices (fish, meats, vegan options, porridge, lot of vegetables, fruits and bread). No soup. Very professional and kind staff. Spacious rooms. Only basic amenities in bathroom (soap, washing gel), towels. Good value for money. Exceeded our expectations based on previous reviews..

I have stayed at this hotel several times. Always cozy and clean. Winter mood even in summer. and surrounded by incredible nature, this is a very romantic place. Excellent location in terms of village infrastructure. The staff is extremely friendly. In the hotel restaurant you can taste local cuisine. In addition to rooms, the hotel has cozy apartments, which I stayed in and was very pleased with. I will definitely choose the Alpe fleurie hotel on my future trips to Villars.

I love this village so much, please don't visit, the fewer...

I love this village so much, please don't visit, the fewer tourists the better for me. Selfish yes, but its somewhere you can completely unwind, just use Interrail and jump on the train to anywhere, go for a walk along the beautiful river, go for a spa, go for food down the high street, but don't expect to eat late.

Leysin is a lovely village accessible by a spectacular cog...

Leysin is a lovely village accessible by a spectacular cog railway. The skiing is good, but our chosen week in late January is apparently set aside for all Swiss schools to pursue outdoor activities. Consequently the ski area was absolutely packed with children of all ages and the pistes were incredibly busy. I would love to ski there at a quieter time.

I've been to Villars several times over the past few years.

I've been to Villars several times over the past few years. I haven't skied for a while so wanted to choose a resort I was already familiar with. For a short trip it's useful to be able to be close to access to the slopes and facilities for ski hire and lockers etc. and with accomodation close to the railway station too it's possible to spend full days of skiing. There is a bus which makes it easy to get to the Roc d'Orsay telepherique (which is at one end of the town) but taking the train to Bretaye is a good alternative and better for avoiding the crowds (I think people arriving by car to ski for the day would naturally choose the telepherique).

Excellent place for a day out in snow in summer.

Excellent place for a day out in snow in summer. Or, good for longer stays if interested in hiking. We hiked down from Col du Pillon to Les Diablerets. It was great - discovering a waterfall and walking along a melt water stream. Of course, the place offers a lot more opportunities for winter sports.

I stayed in Aigle because I was attending the Montreux Jazz...

I stayed in Aigle because I was attending the Montreux Jazz and wanted accommodation away from the manic city vibe, but with easy access. Aigle was perfect. Even staying in Montreux past midnight there was a fast and efficient train to risk me to my hotel.

The train and buses were co-ordinated and at the same station. It was only a short bus ride to Leysin and the ski lift. The village shop was only small but crammed with whatever you might need. Everyone I met was very friendly and helpful

A very interesting town with the famous Abbey, some caves, lots of walks higher up in the mountains, a great bakery in town (Micheloud), good supermarkets, good parking and very good restaurants. Many historic buildings, artefacts and interesting galleries.

It is our 4th holiday in Leysin-we like the family oriented...

It is our 4th holiday in Leysin-we like the family oriented mountain village for winter holidays. It is a nice destination for those who like to ski without the noise of after ski parties, with all amenities at hand: ski slopes, ice skating centre, hiking trails, grocery stores, some nice restaurants, swimming pool, and very trranquil.

Great base for exploring the area. Good public transport with buses, local train and easy access to the cable cars to take you up the mountains. Plenty of places to eat out and a large supermarket if you are self catering.

It’s a great resort with plenty of things to do - skiing, snowboarding, cross country skiing, trips on snowshoes, hiking. All trails / skiing tracks are marked really well. Our favorite things was the sledge track - over 7 km of fun for all.
