I dont recommend the alcohol fondue. I wish i would have ordered the non alcohol....we went in late February and it seemed perfect weather. Clean water and air!!! A beautiful ski resort city definitely recommend..."

"Interlaken is a wonderful place to visit and it is centrally located to visit Harder Kulm, Mt. Rigi, Luzerne, Mt Jangfrau, Glacier Express, etc. It is central hub and best connected by train to all key locations. Interlaken has Brienz and Thun lake which is stunning. One can either stay at Interlaken or Luzern for visiting all key scenic locations, but Interlaken is best connected. Drive between Interlaken and Luzern is amazing. Highly recommend this place to visit."

"A beautiful cosy place to stay in the vicinity of the mountains. I would recommend this place as I could go to Jungfrau easily. Also a day trip to Interlaken, since it is just 30+ minutes away by train. Grindelwald may not be costly when compared to Interlaken. Add another half an hour from Interlaken you can have another day trip to Lauterbrunnen. Just open the windows from any of the hotels / lodges you would see the mountains and you will stand in awe in the majesiacity of Gods creation."

"We’ve stayed for 5 days during legendary jazz festival. It’s a big celebration of music of all kind. Several free stages, parties until early hours….and free bus transport. Walks around like, Chillon castle and Chaplin worlds are highly recommended for visit. We had free Riviera card from the hotel and it comes with many discounts. Swimming in the lake is something also highly recommended, especially after partying."

We didn’t spend long enough to properly explore more of the area but being able to step out of the hotel early morning and be surrounded by with so much natural beauty was uplifting vto say the least. We walked to the Madonna del Sasso and saw lLocarno and the lake from above. Would love to come back in summer to explore many hiking trails in the area. The unexpected start of Winterland was an added bonus."

"The skiing was great when the weather was clear. I will caution other travelers that due to the altitude, the clouds can come lower than the peaks of the mountains. I highly recommend taking a lesson as our ski school experience was top notch. If you do wind up there on a day with low visibility, follow the people in the red jackets. They are usually instructors who know where they're going. Getting around St Moritz was easy using an efficient, clean bus system. Lastly, if you want chocolate Laderach is really good, but you can also find delicious chocolate at the grocery stores for a fraction of the price."

"Thun is the prettiest town with so much to do. We travelled by train from Zurich and it was a great location to travel to other places during our stay. Zermatt, Bern and Montreu. It is really clean and the people are very pleasant and helpful. The lake is lovely and there are boat trips you can take too. We had nice meals out but it is expensive for dining. There was very good shopping too"

We absolutely love this hotel – this was our third stay! The location is perfect for relaxation, and the thermal baths are spacious and well-equipped with plenty of amenities. The hotel staff is incredibly kind, and to our surprise, the hotel manager welcomed us with a few thoughtful gestures to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We will definitely be returning and hope to celebrate many more special occasions here. Thank you for making our stay so memorable!

Very good Hotel. Clean, comfortable, quiet rooms, the breakfast was very good, there is a large selection, there is also gluten-free bread. The staff is kind and helpful. The tunnel to the thermal bath is cool. The thermal is very good, big, not so crowded. There are many places for excursions around the hotel. The town has its own tele cabin to the mountain with a nice view. So absolutely recommended, we will return.

Beautiful location with great views of the lake. The food was amazing. Sauna and swimming pool were of very high standards. The staff really make an effort to help you enjoy the place. The bar had amazing cocktails and we really enjoyed the walks and boat trip organised by the hotel.

I loved Zermatt and its spectacular mountain scenery.

I loved Zermatt and its spectacular mountain scenery. Unfortunately, I experienced altitude sickness while visiting Matterhorn Glacier Paradise, which limited my time there. Despite that, the area was unforgettable and well worth visiting. The hike down from Gornergrat was a highlight of my trip—on par with dog sledding on the glaciers in Alaska, swimming near Black Rock at Kāʻanapali Beach in Maui, hiking Pīpīwai Trail, or snorkeling at Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve on Oʻahu.

Interlaken is a convenient town for the various sightseeing locations around it. It is as expected expensive to shop around and to eat in the restaurants though the lidl shop does provide reasonable prices but the shelves are bare in the evenings.

PIZZERIA SVIZZERA AN EXCELLENT PLACE TO EAT; CENTOVALLI RAILWAY FABULOUS VIEWS AND JUST 2 MINUTES WALK FROM HOTEL. Also funicular o Madonna del Sasso, then cable car to Orselina/Cardada and after a 5 minute walk, chair lift to Cimetta with wonderful views. Great boat trips as far as Stresa.

Montreux is a beautiful city on the banks of lake Geneva.

Montreux is a beautiful city on the banks of lake Geneva. It has magnificent views and a wonderful old-town feel. We stayed just one night so we did not do much sight-seeing except to visit the statue of Freddy Mercury. Would like to come back and explore Chillon Castle.

Lauterbrunnen was a great place to stay.

Lauterbrunnen was a great place to stay. Being surrounded by the mountains was amazing. It is easy to get to and from Interlaken by train- about a 20 minute ride. Getting up to Murren and then to the Schilthorn was easy with a short cable car ride and train ride to Murren and then the cable car from Murren to the Schilthorn. The restaurants were good although packed at times. I loved that the restaurants don't try to push people out for the next diners- it is very relaxed and outdoor dining was a great experience. It is not a car-free village so sometimes have to watch for vehicles that may be going a bit fast.

Chur is the oldest city in Switzerland.

Chur is the oldest city in Switzerland. It is surrounded by mountains and has a gondola in walking distance. The city is small enough to walk around, has many old buildings, a festive atmosphere with all the flags, as well as good restaurants with street fronts.

Beautiful location, stunning lake and mountains.

Beautiful location, stunning lake and mountains. However, it's frightfully expensive to stay and to eat and in the shoulder season there's not much to do - no funicular or cable cars working. A good base for scenic train experiences. Very good convenience store at the station.

A beautiful lakeside town with a scenic backdrop of...

A beautiful lakeside town with a scenic backdrop of snowcapped mountains. Well serviced by Rail, bus and boat. A very clean city, with a good choice of bars, shops and scenic walks. There are many routes up to the Church that commands the landscape, or you can walk along the river and sit and watch the world go by. Bern is 20 mins away by rail in one direction and the Jungfrau region 20 mins away in the other. Also, the local residents we found to be warm, friendly and right proud people - we have a lot of love for Thun - A beautiful place to stay and visit. And their football team are good too !!

Huge and varied ski terrain in the winter, great off-piste...

Huge and varied ski terrain in the winter, great off-piste skiing, lots of lovely on-piste skiing as well. In the summer months, Davos is pleasantly cool with clear refreshing mountain air; great for hiking and riding my mountain e-bike to remote and scenic mountain locations.
