The staff were exceptional, they are wonderfully considerate and very attentive. Many staff were also charming and genuine in their interactions with guests. The housekeeper was fantastic, what a delightful and endearing lady, like wise many of the restaurant staff added to the overall guest experience. Many of the guests had been visiting this hotel for years. All the guests we met were lovely people. There is a real loyalty towards this hotel from historic guests. We met one gentleman from Switzerland who has been visiting for 45 years. Most of the guests we met have been here several times. This is a true testament to the hotel, staff and management. Of course there is the location, fine food to mention but for us the highlight was the people.

We had a wonderful stay during the Christmas period. The hotel was very cozy and beautifully decorated with a lovely Christmas spirit that made the atmosphere warm and festive. Everything was extremely clean and well maintained, and the rooms were very comfortable. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always helpful, which really enhanced the experience. It’s a peaceful and charming place, perfect for a relaxing winter getaway. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again.

I visited this hotel while on business, and decided to treat myself to a relaxing stay after many hours of driving. The reception was great, they explained how everything works and I received a bracelet to enter the thermal baths which were very easy to access from the hotel. Bathrobe and everything was in the room, even nice slippers, (not the paper ones you sometimes get), all in all very relaxing. The baths were lovely in the sunshine between the mountains, and during my stay at least, a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The room was very nice, with minibar and coffee machine, I had a balcony with a view to the park which was lovely. Bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was also at a very high standard. I had the buffet on both nights, and I must say that it was really good, the live chefs made meat dishes to order, the bread was crispy and fresh, the desserts bountiful.. lots of good cheeses...all in all a good value for Swiss standards. The Breakfast was good too, although the scrambled eggs were a little too fluid for my liking, maybe this is a cultural preference, (I did have a laugh about this with an American and German guest), but this does not take away any points in my view. The parks at the stream was very nice, I was able to access the rocky part at the end of the park. Not for swimming mind you, the stream is quite fast...! Nice veranda style terrace to relax too..

I was offered an upgrade to a spectacular room, a lake view toom which was just amazing, I was given a small yet yummy birthday cake after an amazing dinner with Rose pettles all over my table. Also a gift of choice. I indulged in a facial, swam in the heated pool and took a sauna. After our checkout time we could stay longer to enjoy the amenities. Upon checkout we were given special alp water and a bus voucher to our next destination. This hotel stay was our most impressive and would certainly return.

Everything was excellent. The outdoor spa was a unique experience. The staff at the kids' club were very kind, and everyone in the hotel was extremely helpful. We even received a complimentary room upgrade. The hotel also provided a shuttle service to the train station. The town was small but charming, and the hotel is conveniently located in the heart of it.

Spacious and very clean room, very friendly staff, the hot pools were awesome, very tasty breakfast and dinner, the kids loved the VIP cards for free chocolate . Good location, not far from Gruyere old town, the chocolate factory in Broc and some beautiful nature spots. The music playing on Sunday was very nice. We would love to stay there again!

This place is exceptionnal. We loved everything about, the pods, the view the spa area, the afternoon snack upon arrival, the breakfast, the staff. Really great value despite the high price. We got upgraded to a better pod for free, which was also really nice.

Incredible scenery and storybook village.

Incredible scenery and storybook village. Lots of restaurants, shopping and sites to see. It was expensive allover, especially the food. The train to the mountaintop was overpriced but the views were spectacular. We visited the mountaineers graveyard and its incredible to see how young so many Of the hikers were when they passed. We ate in some great restaurants and had afternoon tea/ break in many smaller places.

Interlaken is truly one of the most breathtaking...

Interlaken is truly one of the most breathtaking destinations I have ever visited. Nestled between two crystal-clear lakes and surrounded by the majestic Swiss Alps, every direction offers a stunning view that seems almost unreal. The town itself is beautiful, clean, and welcoming, making it the perfect base for exploring the incredible mountain villages, lakes, and scenic railways of the region. What I loved most was the combination of adventure and tranquility. Whether hiking, taking a boat ride, riding mountain trains, or simply enjoying the scenery, every day felt like a dream. The surrounding villages, such as Lauterbrunnen, Wengen, Mürren, and Grindelwald, are absolutely spectacular and showcase some of the most beautiful landscapes in the world. The only minor drawback was that during the summer season, some of the popular mountain villages and attractions could be quite crowded. However, the natural beauty of the region more than makes up for it, and it's easy to see why so many people want to visit. Interlaken is a destination that leaves a lasting impression and creates memories you'll cherish forever. If you're looking for stunning scenery, outdoor adventure, and the very best of Switzerland, Interlaken is simply unforgettable.

Beautiful scenery with lots of activities, restaurants, and...

Beautiful scenery with lots of activities, restaurants, and shops. Grindelwald First is super fun and easy to reach. The traffic noise is a minor inconvenience but there is great transportation there which makes up for it. Pfingstegg is a 15 minute walk away and it also worth visiting. We enjoyed a great fondue dinner at Hirschen restaurant.

When leaving the train station, there are many steps leading...

When leaving the train station, there are many steps leading to the lake area where many hotels are located. Most elevators were broken but a nice young man told us to follow the blue line on the sidewalk and it brought us to elevator access which was imporant because of our luggage. We saw many people struggling with the stairs and luggage, who did not know about the elevators. We spent the first full day on the boat ride to the castle which was amazing and the ride around the lake was lovely. The next night we went to the casino which was fun but they tried to charge us an entrance fee and when we questioned it, he said it’s free with the montreaux riviera card which you automatically get at your hotel, so make sure you ask for it. It saved us $24 on he entry fee.

Beautiful town and scenery but way to many tourist which make the town a place not to return for me. Way to many tourist busses come into the town and allot of traffic and limited parking. To many other places in Switzerland to visit or Austria as it is just as beautiful and less expensive. I would never go back there due to over tourism.

Nice old town but not overwhelming. We used it as a base for our exploration of Graubunden. After seeing Pontresina, I wished I had made that our home base. Churfest was a nice surprise. It made our stay more exciting. Lots of carnival rides, music, food and drink. I tried a Graubunden specialty, Malun and Capuns. We had them at Churfest and were underwhelmed. Probably I should not judge the cuisine by what I get a festival. Maybe I will try them at an established restaurant next time.

One of the prettiest cities I've ever seen.

One of the prettiest cities I've ever seen. There are a lot of hills, so even walking around you should be prepared for some effort. There were waterfalls visible from a little side street, the beautiful lake, the gorgeous surroundings - I was only there as a stop over and really wished I had more time there. Bike enthusiast heaven!

A very clean, safe, attractive city.

A very clean, safe, attractive city. People were friendly and there was so much to see just by walking about. The free bus card we received at the hotel gave us a great deal of flexibility to explore beyond the immediate area. Thun is a great location to use as a base and ake day trips to places such as Interlaken, Lauterbrunnen, Murren, and the Emmental area.

MAGICAL QUIET PEACEFUL TOWN WITH DELIGHTFUL PEOPLE AND JUST OUTSIDE THE TOWN BY EITHER TRAIN SERVICES YOU ARE IN PARADISE!! PIZZERIA SVIZZERA AN EXCELLENT PLACE TO EAT; CENTOVALLI RAILWAY FABULOUS VIEWS AND JUST 2 MINUTES WALK FROM HOTEL. Also funicular o Madonna del Sasso, then cable car to Orselina/Cardada and after a 5 minute walk, chair lift to Cimetta with wonderful views. Great boat trips as far as Stresa.

Tasch is a pretty little village surrounded by mountains with lots of walking trails. The food at the Matterhorn Inn was very good and there was a supermarket next door for any snacks and drinks needed for a day hiking.
