Very comfortable, well located hotel. The rooms were quiet, even though the hotel is near a roundabout and road. The staff were very helpful. Breakfast was nice and there was a varied choices of food and drinks.

Chur is a starting point for the Bernina Express and a major...

Chur is a starting point for the Bernina Express and a major stop on the Glacier Express route. We managed both journeys from there. The town has an interesting history and is very pleasant to wander around. It has a less intimidating feel to it than bigger cities - we arrived in the middle of a local festival parade which celebrated all the local villages which look to Chur as the main town.

Chur is a small town and not much to do in itself but lively on Saturday nights -- seems a lot of people were out in the old town streets. We got there to take Bernina express train, and then go to Zurich.

The city of Chur was good, the accommodations were in a great location but so sparse and minimal we didn’t stay. It is furnished like a youth hostel. Not for seasoned travelers who expect good lodging.

Chur is a start/finish point for the Glacier Express and...

Chur is a start/finish point for the Glacier Express and Bernina Express / Red line. We completed both trips which were spectacular. We also took the train to Arosa for 30 CHF return. Chur has some nice old buildings, plenty of restaurants and shops, and the local museums are interesting and free with the guest card from the hotel.

This town is so quaint.

This town is so quaint. I used to live here and it is a beautiful place with both small city and nature easily accessible. I had coffee at Kaffee Klatsch, walked through the old town, met a friend for lunch at Restaurant Frohsinn and walked up Kreuzgasse to see old neighbors and an amazing view of the Calanda mountain. Don't skip a beautiful walk through the forest at Fürstenwald.

Chur is Switzerland’s smallest city.

Chur is Switzerland’s smallest city. It’s very pretty, and there is skiing. There are also walking paths above the city. This is one end of the Bernina Express, which was our reason for being there overnight- to catch the 8.17 train heading south-east to Tirano in Italy. Being Switzerland, it’s an expensive place, with several high-end restaurants, but we found a couple of schnitzel places which were very nice, and reasonably-priced, in the old town.

We liked everything. Atmosphere was very friendly, kitchen was clean and spacious with all you need. Location is very near train station and all the main attractions, but still peaceful. Inner yard is very social with restaurant/bar, , still good with children to be with. During our stay we listened live music and saw amazing fire circus show at the yard. So good place and lovely, helpful staff. Special thanks to Marco! As my daughter said: I don't want to leave Switzerland because this hotel is so nice!

The hotel staff were extremely helpful when planning what to do on my stay, it was my first time solo travelling and they gave me a map, and directed me to some great restaurants and bars in the area. The hotel breakfast was okay, the selection was minimal, however in Switzerland a free breakfast is always appreciated! Everything was very clean, and the location was excellent and easy to find! I would definitely stay here again!

Needed a quick one night stop over in Chur before getting the Bernina express and this hotel was perfect. Great location and the staff were just lovely. They even have adapter for uk plugs already in the room. Note. Don’t bother with the actual Bernina express. Get the locals train that runs the same route and has the outside carriages. Totally stunning.

A wonderful place, located 10 minutes from the train station in the center of the old town, the price is quite low for Switzerland, excellent value for money, beautiful views of the mountains and the landscape, we wholeheartedly recommend this hotel.
