1. First word - The views are FANTASTIC from the corner rooms. The Panoramic windows gives an amazing landscape view of the city and mountains. 2. Spacious and clean rooms and bathrooms. 3. Great supply of toiletries. 4. Just 10 mins bus ride to the main Chur station (bus #6 - every 15 mins - right from the entrance of the hotel). 5. Coop supermarket located in the same building as the hotel. 6. Just 5-6 mins bus ride to a nearby Sri Lankan restaurant (Chutney) - must try if you are into Indian/Lankan food. 7. Ample breakfast options with spacious sitting areas with fantastic views of the mountains.

Staff are helpful, breakfast is great - probably one of the widest selections I've come across in my week-long stay in Switzerland! The nostalgic feel of the historical building definitely made my stay extra special. Located in the old town, it is just 10-minute walk away from the train station, and I enjoyed every moment of peace staying away from the busier center.

Amazing view, nice people, clean room. Smooth check in/ check out process. For breakfast we were able to ask for oat milk, so I could enjoy my coffee. There were also vegan musli available, fruits and bread.

Chur is a starting point for the Bernina Express and a major...

Chur is a starting point for the Bernina Express and a major stop on the Glacier Express route. We managed both journeys from there. The town has an interesting history and is very pleasant to wander around. It has a less intimidating feel to it than bigger cities - we arrived in the middle of a local festival parade which celebrated all the local villages which look to Chur as the main town.

Chur is a small town and not much to do in itself but lively on Saturday nights -- seems a lot of people were out in the old town streets. We got there to take Bernina express train, and then go to Zurich.

The city of Chur was good, the accommodations were in a great location but so sparse and minimal we didn’t stay. It is furnished like a youth hostel. Not for seasoned travelers who expect good lodging.

Chur is a start/finish point for the Glacier Express and...

Chur is a start/finish point for the Glacier Express and Bernina Express / Red line. We completed both trips which were spectacular. We also took the train to Arosa for 30 CHF return. Chur has some nice old buildings, plenty of restaurants and shops, and the local museums are interesting and free with the guest card from the hotel.

This town is so quaint.

This town is so quaint. I used to live here and it is a beautiful place with both small city and nature easily accessible. I had coffee at Kaffee Klatsch, walked through the old town, met a friend for lunch at Restaurant Frohsinn and walked up Kreuzgasse to see old neighbors and an amazing view of the Calanda mountain. Don't skip a beautiful walk through the forest at Fürstenwald.

Chur is Switzerland’s smallest city.

Chur is Switzerland’s smallest city. It’s very pretty, and there is skiing. There are also walking paths above the city. This is one end of the Bernina Express, which was our reason for being there overnight- to catch the 8.17 train heading south-east to Tirano in Italy. Being Switzerland, it’s an expensive place, with several high-end restaurants, but we found a couple of schnitzel places which were very nice, and reasonably-priced, in the old town.

The hotel staff were extremely helpful when planning what to do on my stay, it was my first time solo travelling and they gave me a map, and directed me to some great restaurants and bars in the area. The hotel breakfast was okay, the selection was minimal, however in Switzerland a free breakfast is always appreciated! Everything was very clean, and the location was excellent and easy to find! I would definitely stay here again!

The room was spacious, clean and a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was modern and well equipped with excellent facilities. Superb breakfast, a delicious selection of fresh and tasty food to start the day. The staff were friendly, welcoming. The hotel’s location was excellent, making it easy to walk everywhere in town and explore Chur’s beautiful old streets, shops and attractions.

Rustic Swiss hotel, very nice and helpful staff, both in checkin and at dinner serving. Big portions and very tasteful. Breakfast included, was also perfect for me with cappuccino served by the table. 10-15 min walk from railway station in a nice part of Chur. Perfekt after a long day in n Bernina Express from Italy.
