The Panorama hotel has just been renovated for two years. The view is breathtaking and there is no noise. So quiet, you reach the center downtown in 5 minutes by car. And if you do not want to drive the bus stop is next door. Our suite on the 2nd floor #201 is very pleasant with an amazing balcony facing the view. Stunning!

Alpine Resort and Large Glaciers

Grindelwald lies at more than 1000 metres above sea level, offering top-class ski slopes and an imposing Alpine landscape. It is located in the canton of Bern, in the Jungfrau-Aletsch UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Aletsch is the largest glacier to be found in the Alps.

Although evidence shows humans have been present in the region for thousands of years, the first long-lasting settlements date back to the Middle Age. For a long period, the destiny of the village was attached to the influence of the Interlaken Abbey, until the times of the Protestant Reformation.

Tourist activity begun in the 18th century, bringing new life and wealth to the village. During the second half of the 19th century, roads and railway lines were developed, allowing a constant influx of visitors. Grindelwald is definitely the most beautiful village in the...

Grindelwald is definitely the most beautiful village in the region for accommodation and everything else. It is large yet peaceful, and fun without being overcrowded. I would love to stay in Grindelwald again the next time I visit this area. Thanks to the Guest Card, you can travel very conveniently on the buses in Grindelwald.Don't leave here without trying the mountain coaster and zipline at First Cliff.

There is so much to see in the region and Grindewald being...

There is so much to see in the region and Grindewald being right at the heart of the alps provides a perfect base location. Our favourites were Jungfrau, Grindewald First and Schilthorn. We had the Swiss Travel Pass for the entire length of our stay in Switzerland and it provided good discounts. With hindsight, I think I would get the Jungfrau pass when in the Jungfrau region - it will probably pay for itself if you are going to do all the big peaks.

Great place. That was my third visit.

Great place. That was my third visit. The only issue for Bodmi station which was nearest to my apartment was that the last shuttle that come to this station from city was at 6:44pm after which you need to take expensive cab with senior citizens or hike uphill for a kilometer. If the bus will serve until 8pm that would be great.

Grindelwald was one of the highlights of our Switzerland trip. The village offers breathtaking views of the Eiger and surrounding Alps, with stunning scenery in every direction. It is an excellent base for exploring attractions such as First, Bachalpsee, Jungfraujoch, and the Lauterbrunnen Valley. The town is clean, well-organized, and has a good selection of restaurants, shops, and supermarkets. The public transport system is efficient and makes it easy to explore the region without a car. What we enjoyed most was the combination of dramatic mountain landscapes and the relaxed village atmosphere. Whether hiking, taking mountain railways, or simply enjoying the views, Grindelwald offers an unforgettable Swiss alpine experience. We would highly recommend spending at least 3–4 days here, as there is plenty to see and do, and the scenery alone makes it worth the visit.

Fantastic!

Fantastic! Did a lot of hiking around Grindlewlad and Lauterbrunnen. Went up to Murren which was fantastic! Did the Eiger Express to Jungfrau which should not be missed. Hope to come back again :)

I was in Grindelwald for the Eiger Ultra Race, so the location of Hotel Caprice 5 mins from the start (and finish) was perfect. Its also really close to the railway station which is convenient if you travelled by train as I did. My single room was at the front of the hotel with a fantastic views of the Eiger, and also had a balcony which was lovely to sit out on and take in the panorama. One aspect of the Hotel I particularly appreciated was that they started breakfast at 2am on race day, my event started at 4am so this was a big bonus.

The hotel with good location. Walkable distance to Grindelwald Train station and First station. The room is clean, spacious and comfy looks like newly renovated. The Toilet also clean and spacious. Appreciate that the property sent us email upon booking comfirmed to remind us to checkin at the sister hotel behind. And pick-up service is available if needed. The instruction is clear.

I will be returning to this hotel! I had the best room with an incredible view of the mountains. Comfortable beds, big bathroom. And the spa is the ultimate luxury experience! You must visit if it's only for the outdoor spa!

This is not a normal hostel. It’s 5 star luxury. We had a fully cooked meal for dinner extra cost but includes a great breakfast. The service was excellent and the views were breathtaking.
