I was very happy with my stay at Hotel Alpina. The owner Richard was very easygoing, helpful and welcoming. The breakfast was perfect, good variety, they make eggs however way you want them. The room is a good size with a comfy bed. And for my room 201 the bathroom was renovated and very nicely done. I even got a partial view of the lake from my room. The attention to detail throughout the hotel made it so funky yet so cozy. I would definitely stay there again. There’s also a beautiful pathway from the hotel that takes you directly parallel to the lake and a little waterfall

The hotel is excellent! Super well located to go anywhere (Jungfraujoch, GoldenPass Panorama, Lauterbrunnen, etc) and you can see what it seems to be a famous location for paragliding. Also you are in a region with lots of restaurants. Excellent breakfast, excellent in terms of comfort and amenities in the room. I would recommend it to anyone!

The staff were really kind and helpful, the restaurant was exceptionally beautiful with great ambience , the headchef was also very kind and he baked me the best birthday cake I’ve ever had and we enjoyed celebrating both my wife’s birthday and our 4th wedding anniversary. The location is also beautiful as you get to see mountains of beautiful snow and the fact that they gave me a snack gift for my dog , was really kind and thoughtful. The room was very nice and warm , the pool and spa was also included in our price which was great. We also loved the language flexibility with the staff as we didn’t encounter any language barriers. At the restaurant, the staff served us very well, and kept checking up on us time to time to ensure we are comfortable, which is really very kind of them. We are definitely coming back more times .

Location. It is great. I visited in beginning of October and it was easy to get there by public transport during that time (it might be different when snow covers the mountain pass). Tickets for some of the local cable cars were included and for some other ones I got a discount (I've used free cable cars only as I've stayed for one day and there was only that much I could visit). I would really encourage to walk around the lake that is down from the hotel as it is beautiful and the view from the dam is also great! Breakfast was very nice as well. One thing to keep in mind - hotel is high up (1900-2000 meters) and if you are not used to mountain hotels, you might have worse sleep quality, not because of the beds or something, but because air is thinner up there and your body need to adjust to that.

Fantastic stay at Eden Spiez - we decided to splash out for our stay and thoroughly enjoyed it! The staff were incredible friendly and helpful. Though on the front side of the hotel, the room still had a lovely view of the lake; we were provided with welcome drinks, and complimentary fresh bottled water (still + sparkling) every day plus chocolates; there were apples available for guests as well, plus as a cake buffet in the afternoon. Car parking was in a secure multistorey car park, and the hotel was situated a few minutes walk from the restaurants/shops of Spiez, and lake. We did not use the spa much, but enjoyed a full body massage on the day of arrival, and will certainly look forward to using the facilities more when we return in future.

The location is stunning. It’s surrounded by the mountains, hiking trails start right behind the property. It’s all very woody and spacious. The staff is outstandingly friendly and like I said in the title I have never felt my dog so welcomed. They even made a reservation for me and her at the restaurant (whereas most places don’t allow dogs in the restaurants). That‘s the main reason for the high rating. The dinner menu was exquisite. I also enjoyed their saunas.

A stay in a local hotel gives you free access to excellent public transport covering quite a wide area, including the renowned Zentrum Paul Klee, designed by world famous architect Renzo Piano. There's a lot to see and do in Bern, from the well known Zytglogge to the bears enclosure, art galleries, historical churches, buildings and fountains, any kind of shops in and around the famous arcades, a wide variety of restaurants. It's a relatively small city and feels very safe and congenial. It's very easy to get around, on foot and by public transport (buses, trams). My favourite activity in Bern is to wander down the arcades and look at (and visit) the shops.

We went there during winter, without thinking of skiing. We visited many of the most touristic places, like Grindelwald and Jungfraujoch, plus other cities around. The hikes plus the views were incredible, I totally recommend them. One of the days we went to Grindelwald terminal, where we rented a sledge and took a cable car to play with it. It was really fun, and if it weren't because of the time, I would have gotten the day pass to go over and over again. I really want to go back again, but next time I'll probably include more winter sports, like skiing and more sledges adventures. One more hint, check the activities available for the time of the year you are visiting. We wanted to do sledging in one of the mountains, but that specific route was closed, so we moved somewhere else to do it. Lastly, Switzerland in general is a bit expensive and Interlaken is no exception. Keep in mind your budge for food. We went to McDonnalds where we got 2 combos and we spent around 30 pounds.

Grindelwald was just excellent for us who love to live in...

Grindelwald was just excellent for us who love to live in the ski area. The ski access could be accessed from bus and sky lift terminals, it has a lot of pistes, cafes, restaurants, and tourist attractions such as Jung Fraou Joch, Grindelwald first. Overall Grindelwald was a memorable place either you wanted to do ski or just enjoying the city.

Thun is a nice city. Very easy to walk around and small shops that are nice. We were there in December which was chilly and blue/grey, but the Christmas market was cheerful and bright. We took day trips to Bern, Speiz, Schilthorn, and Interlaken and always appreciated coming back to this quieter town. In the summer it would be interesting to enjoy the lake and all the activities offered.

Lauterbrunnen is a place for those who love being outdoors, with a nice long trail. Though it can get busy, it’s still far from a crowd..and no noise. Just happy outdoorsy people. From most hotels/chalets you’ll find restaurants and food trucks along the way. If you’re planning a longer hike, take reusable water bottles and some snacks. For coffee: Cycling Bean Coffee Bike For a sweet tooth: Waffeln Donuts Restaurants: Dined at Hotel Silberhorn (reservations are HIGHLY recommended) The gift shops had the right souvenirs to bring home. Lauterbrunnen was so charming—I loved every moment. And the locals were so nice to me :)

Nice chocolate box type of Swiss town.

Nice chocolate box type of Swiss town. Very pretty and quite small. Great for looking in posh shop windows at stuff you can't afford. Nice station right next to bus stand ensuring easy connections.

Wengen is charming, as we visited in late sept25 weather was...

Wengen is charming, as we visited in late sept25 weather was extremely misty, drizzling and dull, breathtaking views on the train journey up made up for the bad weather, but very heaven rain spoiled an evening walk about, let me make this clear as at no point whilst booking our stay was it pointed out Wengen was car-free. Google maps will try take you on a wild goose drive so be very vigilant there are huge fines in some of these car free villages if police come across your error, You have to park 5 kms away, get the train, carry baggage etc on a train ride up, don’t be put off as it is worth a visit. it all works out very costly when you don't know this and if your working off a budget. We found Wengen to be a little less expensive than other areas on our trip, but be prepared for cost, we ended our trip early as 2 days were plenty if your not ski-ing or hiking here, we dealt with a really pleasant professional at the train station in Wengen who went above & beyond to provide information for a very early morning exit, note that everything is very much on time, a really good system, i reckon it as a few hour day trip only, there was a cable car trip and lots of nice places to see and some nice spots to watch the world go by

Kandersteg was incredible, out of season so was super quiet...

Kandersteg was incredible, out of season so was super quiet for the perfect chilled couple of days. The hike to lake Oeschinensee was beautiful, the snow adding to the whole experience. Great transport links to the rest of Switzerland, has shops to provide what you’ll need while you’re there to cosy up in an apartment for a few days.

This is my 3rd trip to Adelboden, We, as a family, really enjoy the Trotti bikes and the natural beauty of this region. Food is great. We had a car to get around hence it was easy. It is a must-travel place :-)

wilderswil is very close to the center of interlaken city...

wilderswil is very close to the center of interlaken city where supermarket, stores, restaurants are located. easy to get there by public transportation by train or bus from train main station (interlaken ost). also the location is close to lauterbrunen for sking and getting view of hills and snow during winter if there is no snow in interlaken or wilderswil
