Perfect location! We had booked a room with a balcony. The view was fabulous! Very convenient location as its just a 5-7 minute walk from the train station. They also provided us with a travel adapter for our room. Unfortunately could not taste the food at their restaurant due to time constraints. Nice bedroom and bathroom. Staff was very helpful. Great stay!

We had a wonderful stay at the Grandhotel. The staff were all very nice and helpful, in particular Sebastian at reception. We stayed in one of the rooms at the front of the hotel with a small balcony and a spectacular view of Lake Brienz and the waterfall. The room was really clean, spacious, and comfortable. The food was delicious and well presented. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful, with a lovely walk down to the lake, the funicular train, and several hikes around the waterfall. The outdoor pool area is also lovely, both for a swim and to sit down for a while. A wonderful, tranquil slice of heaven. Can't wait to return!

The hotel is located across the cable train to First, within the city centre of Grindelwald and surrounded by beautiful mountains. What an amazing location! The rooms have good insulation and provide you with all the comfort you need. The spa was amazing, I loved it so much after a day of hiking. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was extensive: all kinds of bread, cheeses, cereal, yoghurt, hot beverages...I enjoyed my stay in this beautiful hotel and I definitely recommend it.

The location is stunning. It’s surrounded by the mountains, hiking trails start right behind the property. It’s all very woody and spacious. The staff is outstandingly friendly and like I said in the title I have never felt my dog so welcomed. They even made a reservation for me and her at the restaurant (whereas most places don’t allow dogs in the restaurants). That‘s the main reason for the high rating. The dinner menu was exquisite. I also enjoyed their saunas.

The staff always made me feel welcome and appreciated, very personable and lots of attention to detail. Special thanks to Alex ant the front desk and Roman at the Spa for their kindness. The spa is wonderful and included with great sauna and steam and a very good size panoramic pool. The feel of the hotel is elegant and classic. Wonderful piano music with dinner. Incredible breakfast with wonderful staff.

Interlaken is centrally situated, well served by trains, has a wide variety of restaurants, is very walkable, and is clean. It benefits from having a variety of attractions like Harder Kulm as well as access to nearby lakes and small mountain communities. I also enjoyed it's small town character and lack of traffic congestion.

Bern is a medieval city with UNESCO World Heritage status.

Bern is a medieval city with UNESCO World Heritage status. The alleys and fountains are special, as is the Zytglogge, a complex 16th-century astronomical clock with an hourly mechanical puppet show. The Bear Park is lovely, as well as the Rose Garden, although April was too early for roses. Restaurants are plentiful, so there are many options. The hotels provide visitors with the Guest Pass, which allows free public transport. The public transport system is simple and reliable. All in all, a pleasant city to visit.

A pleasant village in a dramatic setting.

A pleasant village in a dramatic setting. Unlike some ski resorts, Grindelwald feels like a proper village. Getting there by train is easy. There are a few good restaurants though eating out, the ski passes and the trains are expensive (it is in Switzerland!). There are good pistes for beginners and intermediate skiers with a variation of some above the treeline and long runs back home through the forest. We were blessed with great snow though of course that is not guaranteed. We'd definitely go back.

Beautiful valley, train is gorgeous ride in and out of the valley. We stayed at Hotel Oberland, wonderful balcony with view of waterfall. We took bus to the Gondola to Murren and up to Schilthorn and had lunch at Piz Gloria, looking at the incredible snow capped mountains. Not to be missed. Had a vodka martini in honor of James Bond and enjoyed the outdoor viewing and the behind the scenes small museum from On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Took the gondola back down and walked in the valley. Next time would spend more time exploring valley and waterfalls. Beautiful place, really enjoyed our time in Lauterbrunnen.

A beautiful lakeside town with a scenic backdrop of...

A beautiful lakeside town with a scenic backdrop of snowcapped mountains. Well serviced by Rail, bus and boat. A very clean city, with a good choice of bars, shops and scenic walks. There are many routes up to the Church that commands the landscape, or you can walk along the river and sit and watch the world go by. Bern is 20 mins away by rail in one direction and the Jungfrau region 20 mins away in the other. Also, the local residents we found to be warm, friendly and right proud people - we have a lot of love for Thun - A beautiful place to stay and visit. And their football team are good too !!

This place is heaven on earth! easily accessible from Lauterbrunnen and so dreamy! Walk only Vlg with amazing views all around. It snowed during Spring while I was there which was magical!!! Can’t wait to return a summer

Very nice location on its own, you are also very close to...

Very nice location on its own, you are also very close to visit the Ballenberg open air museum, the Lungern area, Meiringen, Rosenlaui, Rothorn, St-Beatus Caves and take a boat ride on Lake Brienz. You are also close to Lauterbrunnen, Interlanken and Thun.

wilderswil is very close to the center of interlaken city...

wilderswil is very close to the center of interlaken city where supermarket, stores, restaurants are located. easy to get there by public transportation by train or bus from train main station (interlaken ost). also the location is close to lauterbrunen for sking and getting view of hills and snow during winter if there is no snow in interlaken or wilderswil

Kandersteg is a quiet, beautiful town, especially in winter...

Kandersteg is a quiet, beautiful town, especially in winter with its snow-covered mountains and the lively atmosphere of skiing and stunning scenery. The train station makes it easy to get around and explore other places. The slopes are excellent, and there's no over-tourism, which is lovely.
