We had a great stay after a long drive! The room felt like it was from another world — spacious, cosy, clean, and well-maintained, with a comfortable bed and an excellent bathroom. We especially enjoyed the hotel’s impressive aquarium and the classic, modern, and F1 car museum/collection — such a unique and memorable touch! The Smart Touch Screen System for lighting, blinds, and temperature control was a first for us and really impressive. Breakfast was great, and the dining area was beautifully decorated.

We did fair amount of hiking in the mountains and it was fantastic to come back to Beatus, relax at the spa and have great meal and rest. View at the mountains and the lake was superb, we liked salt water and inside pool, swimming in the lake, food: breakfast, dinner any snacks, relaxing atmosphere. Pier for the lake boat was right by the hotel. Staff was always helpful and fantastic. Great service.

Great hotel in the scenic Grimsel Pass area. Fabulous location for walking or visiting the Gelmerbahn. Bus stops at the door and it's only 1 hour from Meiringen. The terrace restaurant is nice for during the day or pre-dinner drinks. Food is outstanding especially considering the isolated location. Well done to the kitchen staff and chef.

A pleasant village in a dramatic setting.

A pleasant village in a dramatic setting. Unlike some ski resorts, Grindelwald feels like a proper village. Getting there by train is easy. There are a few good restaurants though eating out, the ski passes and the trains are expensive (it is in Switzerland!). There are good pistes for beginners and intermediate skiers with a variation of some above the treeline and long runs back home through the forest. We were blessed with great snow though of course that is not guaranteed. We'd definitely go back.

Lauterbrunnen is a place for those who love being outdoors, with a nice long trail. Though it can get busy, it’s still far from a crowd..and no noise. Just happy outdoorsy people. From most hotels/chalets you’ll find restaurants and food trucks along the way. If you’re planning a longer hike, take reusable water bottles and some snacks. For coffee: Cycling Bean Coffee Bike For a sweet tooth: Waffeln Donuts Restaurants: Dined at Hotel Silberhorn (reservations are HIGHLY recommended) The gift shops had the right souvenirs to bring home. Lauterbrunnen was so charming—I loved every moment. And the locals were so nice to me :)

Thun is a nice city.

Thun is a nice city. Very easy to walk around and small shops that are nice. We were there in December which was chilly and blue/grey, but the Christmas market was cheerful and bright. We took day trips to Bern, Speiz, Schilthorn, and Interlaken and always appreciated coming back to this quieter town. In the summer it would be interesting to enjoy the lake and all the activities offered.

Not worth the money to book accommodation for even a one night stay. Only cheap & tacky shops, lacks character & charm - very small (but there are so many lovely quaint towns in Switzerland!), & forgettable. Was recommended an Indian restaurant by a local - & that too was lousy :(

Nice chocolate box type of Swiss town.

Nice chocolate box type of Swiss town. Very pretty and quite small. Great for looking in posh shop windows at stuff you can't afford. Nice station right next to bus stand ensuring easy connections.

I love staying in Wengen.

I love staying in Wengen. It's been a favourite family holiday location for over thirty years. Hotel Edelweiss is not far from the centre of the village, though it is quite a steep walk uphill, so you need to be aware of that. Wherever you look there is a fantastic view. Good for skiers in winter and walkers in the summer. It's also a great base for non-skiers in winter as the transport links up and down the mountains are so good.

wilderswil is very close to the center of interlaken city...

wilderswil is very close to the center of interlaken city where supermarket, stores, restaurants are located. easy to get there by public transportation by train or bus from train main station (interlaken ost). also the location is close to lauterbrunen for sking and getting view of hills and snow during winter if there is no snow in interlaken or wilderswil

Very nice location on its own, you are also very close to visit the Ballenberg open air museum, the Lungern area, Meiringen, Rosenlaui, Rothorn, St-Beatus Caves and take a boat ride on Lake Brienz. You are also close to Lauterbrunnen, Interlanken and Thun.
