Everything. The bungalow is spacious for the whole family. There's kitchen and dining area, 2 toilet , very clean.. there's a backyard too. Quiet and safe place.. ac is on the living room but there's a lot of fan and it's enough to cool both rooms. The 15chf laundry per day is very good deal. My children love playing pingpong. The location is excellent 7 mins walk from West station, and everything else. The guests card gives u free transport within Interlaken. There's nearby grocery also

The location of the hotel is perfect. It is literally steps away from the train. Even with the hotel being by the train station we didn’t hear any noise. The room was clean, comfortable and everything worked perfectly. We had breakfast at the hotel every day, the food area was clean, food was made fresh and was promptly replenished. I personally loved the grilled vegetables. My wife really liked having assortment of cold and hot options. The staff is beyond amazing! We interacted with Eduardo at the front desk, Guido and Anna at the bar lounge. When we checked in Eduardo took the time to share what activities we could do with rain in interlaken, he also shared cameras of different areas nearby and made suggestions. Guido at the lounge is AMAZING!!! He made recommendations based on our time and was very genuine in his interactions. At the end of the day he would ask how everything was. Anna greeted us goodbye even from far away. It was a very personal stay, we are on our honeymoon and will cherish this stay in Essential by Dorint Interlaken West forever thanks to these 3 staff members.

Very nice and helpful staff, cleaned every day, everything is clean and new. Comfortable beds. We were in the room with the separate entry which was very cool. There is a free parking which is well organized. The breakfast was very nice. The location is great too. 10 min walking from the center, 20 min walkin from the best rope park. And in the same time in the most quiet part.

Amazing staff! We were wonderfully delighted by how warm and welcoming the staff were, from the receptionists to the breakfast attendants. We were spoiled by a hearty breakfast every morning that we looked forward to each night! We stayed in different hotels throughout our trip and Hotel Crystal was our absolute favorite.

Outdoors Gateway to Jungfrau

Typically Swiss, Interlaken has an incredible location: on the Aar River linking nearby Lake Thun and Lake Brienz, and in the shade of magnificent Alpine mountains including famous Jungfrau. The wonderful views are seen flying into Interlaken Airport.

The lakes are great spots for sailing, swimming or simply having a picnic along the peaceful shores. The area also has its fair share of high-adrenaline pursuits including bungee jumping, paragliding and river rafting.

In winter it’s all about the Interlaken skiing and snowboarding, with options including the fabulous Jungfrau Winter Sport Region and family-friendly areas with easy slopes. The Jungfrau-Aletsch-Bietschhorn glacier is UNESCO World Heritage-listed, and the Jungfraujoch mountain railway takes you to the Top of Europe, the highest railway station in Europe. For a break from skiing, Europe’s longest toboggan run is a thrill a minute. Après-ski ranges from bars and discos to cosy restaurants serving specialities like fondue and raclette.

Interlaken is a convenient town for the various sightseeing locations around it. It is as expected expensive to shop around and to eat in the restaurants though the lidl shop does provide reasonable prices but the shelves are bare in the evenings.

It is serene, peaceful and relaxing.

It is serene, peaceful and relaxing. The natural beauty is something to see. If any big city folks want to relax, the turquoise lakes and towering mountains will provide a calmness that they will remember for a long time. Visit to Interlaken is definitely a "bucket list" item!

Accommodations in the middle of town is nice because you can walk around to everywhere you want to go (stores, shops, river, etc.). There are a ton of really appetizing restaurants with cuisine from all over the world, but they are a little pricey. The grocery stores have plenty of affordable food and ready to eat meals that we lived on for 3 days and fully enjoyed it. There is plenty to do- I went for a strenuous hike up to the Harder Kulm panorama restaurant (my wife took the tram) and we both walked down the mountain afterwards. We took the bus to St Beatus caves to do some deep cave exploration, which is accessible for all levels of adventurer. Took a swim in both Lake Thun and Lake Brienz multiple times to cool off, as well as the river that connects them. There are plenty of access points for going in and out of the water and the water is so clear, clean, and beautiful. We rented e-bikes from Flying Wheels and rode them down to Lauterbrunnen Valley for some amazing mountain, river, and waterfall views. On the last day we went paragliding with Alpinair. Of course the activities are more expensive than just walking around town, but they are all absolutely worth it if you have the budget for it.

Interlaken is a great place but the property that we were staying was not great. Though I would say that they are generally costly properties but it should describe the facts and not show pictures that are not accurate.

Interlaken is one of the best places to visit. Switzerland, in general, has breathtaking landscapes that help you disconnect from everyday worries and simply enjoy the beauty around you. It is the perfect destination for anyone looking to relax, whether in summer or winter. The people are very friendly, peaceful, and welcoming, which makes you want to keep coming back. I would highly recommend visiting Interlaken and Switzerland to anyone looking for a memorable and relaxing experience.

The staff at reception were very professional and helpful. The staff really create a 4 star experience. The hotel itself whilst could benefit from some updating is still visually stunning due to its belle epoch architecture and beautiful location by the river. The gym is very basic but the pool is good. The restaurant is classy and intimate but not too stuffy. Breakfast is amazing. All in all a great stay only criticism would be our room could do with an update it was a little 1990’s but the view made up for it.

We had a wonderful 4 night stay - top marks to Christine & the Alphorn Ladies. Our welcome was friendly & helpful. Swiss breakfast was great. The hotel was spotlessly clean & the bathroom was well equipped. It was a pleasure to stay in a quiet part of Interlaken, but only a short walk from the centre. We would score 11 if we could. Many 3 & 4 star hotels could take lessons from Hotel Alphorn.

The location is great, close to Lauterbrunnen Valley - this area is breathtaking! Interlaken is a must visit place in Switzerland. What a wonderful city it is, beautiful country side, roads, flowers and people as well. This accommodation also has a free parking place which is very import if you travel by car. Highly recommend.

We like the location and look of this hotel. It's in downtown Interlaken and next to the river. It's a historic building and beautiful architecture, well deserving of a 4* hotel. The lobby area was very nicely decorated, and the breakfast was great, compare to other hotel we stayed in Switzerland.
