We stayed in a "budget apartment" which was more than we needed for a weekend stay. The word "budget" could be removed from the title of the booking - in a highly competitive price we have got two rooms, equipped kitchen, toilet with amenities, even sleepers and welcome water. Everything clean and cosy. In addition a lot of free parking spaces. We have highly enjoyed the atmosphere of the hotel - kind of mysterious ghost hotel, reminding movies by David Flynch. There was a mystery there, but from the other hand a lot of pictures showing old good times of the hotel, full of rich people enjoying the stay. Yes - with no shadow of hesitation we can recommend this place and hopefully we will come there again.

Old charming building in the middle of the ski slopes. Ideal for those who love winter sport. We had a lovely vintage (with history) room with everything we needed. Very pleasant and friendly service, good breakfast. The hotel has restaurant with good cuisine. A bit expensive, yes, but they offer a good discount if you stay 3 night at least.

Nice hotel, newly refurbished rooms. The beds were really comfy and it wasn't too hot at night, as it is usually in hotels on the mountains. Friendly staff. Really near the old part of Chiavenna but also easily accessible. Parking available.

Wonderful hotel. Modern, big rooms with view. Very clean. The attached restaurant is excellent and all the staff were wonderful. They even prepared me a breakfast to take to my room for an early departure.

Chiavenna is a beautiful city that's just the right size to walk around and enjoy. The area offers a lot of activities. There are a lot of places to go hiking, or just to walk around town. There's a beautiful waterfall just up the valley. There are also some great restaurants in town.

A classic hotel with history, which alone makes it worth spending the night there. In addition, in a fantastic location that in the past was only accessible to the happy few. The hotel seems to have aged a bit, but the comfortable rooms, grandeur and views make it worth a visit. an excellent place to start mountain tours or bike tours and explore the Engadin.

Excellent location, nice small village, good access to st. Moritz, good shops over the corner, STUNNING views when travelling to and from St. Moritz, Visiting Prosto di Piuro itself is like visting an attraction.

Simple but nice and clean, with comfortable beds. Breakfast buffet was good and tasty (one can also get a proper Italian expresso). Parking is available some 50m from the hotel. The village is rather small and there is not much to visit there, however, St. Moritz is some 20min by car, and it is definitely a good option as the prices in St. Moritz are pretty crazy these days.

The most important thing anyone would love is the views travelling from St Mortz to Chiavenna, It is amazing. Good access to public transport, accomodation is very lovely and excellent .. The stay has been simply superb,

Maloja is a very nice and beautiful spot near the Malojapass to Chiavenna and Italy. From Malaga, you can easily enjoy hikes, walks, especially during winter time, slopes are in walking distance, and it is very quiet if booked a room at sea side

Chiavenna is a very attractive town in northern Italy, rich in historic heritage and framed by beautiful mountains with a variety of hiking opportunities, and of course good food. It is close to Lake Como and Switzerland with excellent public transport connections.
