This was probably our best stay in Switzerland. Although the hotel looks fairly old on the outside, the rooms are renovated and stylishly furnished. You’d think that a hotel with a road on one side and a railway on the other would be noisy, but it was quite the opposite! The only sound present was the bleating of sheep in the distance, which only adds to the atmosphere. The breakfast didn’t have a big variety of different foods, but it was still very delicious! You also get free orange juice served to your table, which was great. And what is probably the best part - how nice our host was. From check-in to check-out, we were always greeted with a smile and given any and all help that we needed. It’s not often that you meet such warm, friendly and energetic people in the world of hospitality. Thank you, Daria!

Such an amazing location with beautiful kind people! I loved it! It really made my vacations better as I came for a concert that was cancelled and my previous reservation in another place was disappointing and I had to leave early! I want to really the the staff that make all the difference with their kind hearted nature! Loved the breakfast the location of the hotel is in the heart of this village with a beautiful terrace to sit down and enjoy a nice meal. Thank you! I will be coming again 💖

The hotel was remote but very nice, with cows walking on the backyard and deers. Really nice view in the mornings with mist around the trees. The whole area felt like it was connected with the hotel, good food in the restaurant.

The town is small but has a great deal of charm, with cobbled streets and old buildings. The highlight being the castle. If you're there in summer - and like swimming - do not miss a dip in the outdoor pool, the Freibad. You get a great view of the castle.

We didn't have time to use neither the sauna or the outdoor...

We didn't have time to use neither the sauna or the outdoor bathtub which are extra to pay, naturally as they have to heat the facilities. The accommodation is ideal for families with children. You should visit Trachselwald castle (middle ages) with a lot of history. Also visit Burgdorf and castle. The owners offer a lot of information leaflets for visits and other suggestions, e.g. visit Cheese Production facility in Affoltern !!!! Langnau, Trubschachen, Trub, etc.
