Private room on the top floor, modern and clean, with a private bath and nice decor. Coffee machine and electric kettle provided in the room along with pods, teabags, and cream (always a plus when you're backpacking and cannot carry all you want). Blinds allowed for a great night sleep, so did the comfy bed and the air conditioner. There was even a TV which allowed us to catch an international track and field meet, and fall asleep on it. Breakfast was well organized; it did not include meat or eggs but had an assortment of bread, cheeses, and yogurts, along with orange juice. A nice yard with tables and chairs provided a green, intimate space to lounge, right inside of the walled city.

The owners are super nice, the view is incredible, food is great, beds are comfy, room is very clean, there were toys for our kids and we loved the private balcony with the view! It was really perfect. The only thing I can mention is that you check the restaurant prices beforehand, the dinner was very delicious but it basically costed as much as our room for one night with breakfast included.

Nadia is an awesome hostess. She received us in the night of Dec. 31st to Jan. 1st, made us feel at home and even toasted with us at midnight. It was really nice experience and ambience.

People (personal), location, and breakfast was really nice. Small room for 1 which was enough, just separated bathroom on the next door in the corridor. The corner room had no internet which was the main minus especially if you need to work.. By 15 min walk you can find a nice 100 year old cave to go inside the past. :)

Hotel de la Gare is situated along the Broye Canal, less than 500 metres from Lake Murten. It offers bright rooms with balconies and satellite TV in a tranquil location.

It was quiet despite the fact it was in the center. Sound proofing is not very common in old buildings in Switzerland so I was very happy when I found this place. Bed was very comfortable. View from my window was pretty cool.
