"Brunnen is a unique and beautiful large village/small town at the part of Lake Lucerne which becomes the Urnersee. The view to the lake presents one of the most magical views anywhere in the world. Fjord-like mountains come down to the lake at its most narrow part. Whether in brilliant sunshine or grey and misty, the view is fabulous. I have been coming to Brunnen for many decades, ever since I was a child. This particular view remains always in my memory."

"I love Einsiedeln,because it is such a lovely village with the Mountains and SIHLSEE. It has beautiful little shops, good restaurants and coffee places with their own roastery. The only problem is with Taxi cars: none available at the centralstation,when one arrives by train. How come?? My favourite place was the MONASTERY, walking around through KLOSTERWALD and the horses there.Another nice walk to SIHLSEE. There is MIGROS with affordable food to buy and their restaurant,which serves good meals. Good connections by train and bus. And the annual Christmas market infront of the monastery is just wonderful."

"This is a great hotel to get away from the hubbub of everyday life. Excellent views, choice of walks, close to the cog train to Mt Rigi as well as the ferry service. Ronnie and Bruno, both of whom run the in-house restaurant, are friendly, charming and entertaining. Both speak English well. Fully recommended."

Claudia and Andrew were fantastic. We arrived late, they kept the kitchen open and prepared an amazing meal. We were on a motorcycle trip and Claudia provided some great advise on the best roads to ride, we took here advise and the next day we had a brilliant ride through the Swiss Alps, thank you Claudia it was amazing.

Very helpful and kind staff, due to our schedule we had to breakfast early in the morning (before the opening time), there was no problem. Very clean, spacious rooms, quiet location, good restaurant. The dinner was awesome.
