Claudia and Andrew were fantastic. We arrived late, they kept the kitchen open and prepared an amazing meal. We were on a motorcycle trip and Claudia provided some great advise on the best roads to ride, we took here advise and the next day we had a brilliant ride through the Swiss Alps, thank you Claudia it was amazing.

I came across the Hostel by accident in booking. com and i didn’t know what to expect but i left with such a wonderful experience . The place was magical like a fairytale with a wonderful view from the lake and the mountains , the words are not enough to describe it , one must see it itself. The location was very practical near the bus station which also takes you to the main station in case you want to go to the city ,i went there with my little brother , very kid friendly and the place its in such away arranget that welcomes every group age . As for the stuff also the best impression very kind and helpful in every moment and always giving tips and answering our questions and trying to be as helpful as possible. I can’t wait to go back again and enjoy the nature and the peaceful atmosphere. I totally recommend it 😇😇.

Very comfortable room with a really nice view of Lake Lucerne with mountains in the background. Mt. Rigi is just across the lake and there is an unobstructed view of the summit. I don't know the age of the hotel but has the appearance of being old, yet has modern facilities. Breakfast was nice and included hot items. There is a small well-stocked grocery within a 5 minute walk from the hotel. It was geared towards the residents but still had a nice selection of snacks and drinks.

Our original booked room at the Chalet building had some problem. The mattress was broken. Even it was almost midnight, the staff quickly fixed the problem and kindly gave us the upgrade to a much better room at the Schloss Building. The new room is so spacious and beautiful.

This place has great facilities including cafes and restaurants. When we were not eating out the food from local supermarket was fresh and delicious.it is a safe and super clean town. The boat tip from Brunnen and Lucerne was a bonus.

Stoos is a very charismatic small village in the Swiss alps.

Stoos is a very charismatic small village in the Swiss alps. You get their only with the steepest funicular of the world, no cars in the village. During the summer season this village only attracts people for the famous (and very overcrowded by Instagrammers and Tiktokkers) Stoos ridge hike. It is amazing and has great views but you walk in line the whole way unless you are willing to really take the 1st chairlift up there. I am sure there are as nice hikes but less crowded ridge hikes in Switzerland. It was a reminder for us to never take travel tips from social media.

The location is safe for children and families

The location is safe for children and families But For four nights, our towels were not changed. We also asked for the cups to be replaced, but this did not happen. In addition, I believe that cash intended as my daughter’s Christmas gift was taken by the cleaning staff. The older blonde woman working at the restaurant reception was not friendly and did not give us a welcoming feeling during breakfast in the morning.

If you are going to be in the lakes area in Switzeralnd, Gersau has proven to be an excellent base form which to travel to the sights and experiences in the region. It's a small town, so shopping is limited, but the shops ar good, meet most needs, and there are a few specialty stores. It has some wonderful restaurants, and everyone we met was friendly and helpful. Gersau has a dock for the ships that serve either as an outing or transportation and which are a great way to travel to neighboring towns and to Lucerne.

Small, cozy city, good as a base to some spectacular hikes ( close to Rigi, Stoos, Grosse Mythen and so on). City itself very picturesque. Good restaurants. We have been to La Piazetta and Divan - both we really enjoyed. There is a mall with supermarket, bakery, clothing and shoe stores and even a pharmacy. Highly recommend.

With its historic charm and secluded location, this lodge is the perfect escape for travelers looking to get away from the city. I also liked the fact that the price includes a delicious buffet breakfast. The surrounding hills and mountains are currently experiencing beautiful snowfall.

A lovely town with a beautiful and impressive monastery. In Winter they have a lovely Christmas market, cross country skiing and other activities. In the warmer weather you can visit the monastery, go walking and explore the town.

Beautiful location & very convenient for reaching top sights, such as Stoos, Küssnacht & Rigi. We ate at a lovely (but pricey) restaurant right on the edge of the Zugersee, in Arth. The view from the outdoor patio area was fantastic.

It was a short stay and sadly the weather was a bit miserable with low cloud over the lake so I saw very little of the scenery which apparently is stunning! I will return in the summer for another visit. We were hiking and our day quickly turned fabulous once we were above the clouds - quite the most beautiful region for winter walking.
