Customer service was amazing and whilst this isn’t a new hotel it had all the things that really matter. A hot shower in just the right height / position, an excellent breakfast, friendly staff, comfortable beds and a top value guest pass as well as being quiet yet in the center of Lenk.
Top tip: if you contact the hotel in advance they can issue you an electronic guest pass which will save you $$ on local mountains buses and trains in the region - definitely worth it.

We have stayed at this hotel twice for a few days and we like it. It is close enough to Lenk village accessible by car or by ski bus. The rooms are airy and comfortable, the hotel is clean and we enjoy the breakfast and the pool. The staff is always lovely and helpful and have been very understanding when I had to cancel our stay last minute, due to booking the wrong flights. I really couldn't fault it. (Even Barbara Birre enjoyed her stay as you can see on the photos)

I did the booking via booking.com, either I made a mistake or booking.com did and forgot to include my son as part of the guess list. The staff were very helpful and prepare a sofa-bed for my son to sleep.

We have been going to Lenk for many years and it is one of...
We have been going to Lenk for many years and it is one of our favourite Swiss villages. Off the main tourist track but easy to get around by public transport, as we did this time. Good choice of local bus routes to scenic locations nearby, even in late October, but make sure you have the local Tourist Card as buses are terribly expensive without. Lots of walking options, too. Local supermarket has everything and cafes very nice indeed - and open till late. Not many evening meal options in late October - Hotel Kreuz was fine though.

Zweisimmen's location is great, you can do so many things within 1 hour driving from Zweisimmen. We had a lot of fun. We visited Thun, Interlaken, Gstaad, everywhere you look it is beautiful. Waterfalls, hanging bridges. We also used the train, very nice panoramic view. We loved the whole experience. In 9 days we could not do everything we had planned, we definitely have to go back to Zwitserland and I would not mind staying in this area again.

The location was very good with lovely views all around and it was easy to get to the next village, Zweisimmen, which had a cable car so we could go walking high up in the mountains. There is also an impressive waterfall a few miles down the road that is worth visiting. St Stephan itself is a modest sized village but quite picturesque around the church area.

We had a walk from Boltigen to Reidenbach, people there are very friendly and they showed us a path along the Simmental river, we had a very nice stay and enjoyed the quiet and lovely walk through the heart of Alp valley.

Lenk is a very nice place to spend time.
Lenk is a very nice place to spend time. There are lots of possibilities for excursions. In summer there is an excellent tour (about five hours or even a bit more; you do have to stick to a break every hour) from the Wallis, Lac de Tseuzier over the pass of Rawil over to Lenk. However for this trip you need to be absolutely sure that the weather is good the entire day that you do not get surprised by a thunderstorm! For further ideas just ask with the Tourist Office of Lenk. There are really lots of things to do at Lenk. E.G. there are organized tours to watch birds of the alps. Just ask for informations with the Tourist Office of Lenk. You can go for paragliding.

It's a very nice place, right where the Rinderberg cable car...
It's a very nice place, right where the Rinderberg cable car is. It's rather well connected - you can travel in the direction of Gstaad or go so Spiez and Bern. The views in the mountains are amazing.

I love it.
I love it. I have been there several times throughout my childhood and teenage years (so beware my opinion is biased).
There are lots of hiking and mountain biking options available with differing degrees of difficulty. But you can also take the gondola or bus for the main attractions if you want to take it easy.
It's a nice place for people with kids as well as older people. A nice village with all necessary things/ shops available (just be aware of opening hours; shorter than city ones).
The nature is awesome and lot's of things/ places can be newly discovered even after several visits prior (speaking from experience (Iffigenalp and Nessli).

I would do the property disservice by attempting to describe...
I would do the property disservice by attempting to describe the wondrous place that Rinderberg is. Must see with your own eyes. We did not do it as we weren't aware of it, but for those arriving before 16.30, parking in the village (Zweisimmen) and taking the cablecar (gondola) up to the hotel is almost a magical experience. And the Rinderberg peak is simply breathtaking. Hotel services were impeccable, staff friendly, and it has a very good restaurant within the premises. Just ensure you have your Gstaad card is handy if you have one, otherwise register for it before you arrive. Life becomes that much simpler with it than without.
