Memorable Stay at Rio Serrano Hotel & Spa From the moment we arrived, the experience at Rio Serrano was seamless and memorable. The staff did an excellent job coordinating transportation and tours, making it easy to explore the breathtaking surroundings without stress. After adventurous days, relaxing at the spa and pool—especially with a soothing massage—was the perfect way to unwind. Both restaurants offered delicious meals throughout the day. Breakfast had a great variety, and lunch and dinner were consistently satisfying. A special mention goes to the cordero tasting, a thoughtful touch that gave us a real taste of Patagonia. The hotel’s amenities are top-notch: the water station with hot, cold, and even sparkling options was a welcome surprise, and the rooms were incredibly comfortable. I especially appreciated the exceptional body cream provided—such a luxurious detail! The views from the property are simply stunning, adding to the overall magic of the stay. Overall, Rio Serrano exceeded expectations. Highly recommended for anyone looking to combine adventure with luxery relaxation in one of the most beautiful corners of the world.

After a disappointing experience elsewhere, arriving at Hotel Ilaia was a breath of fresh air. The hotel was beautifully illuminated, and we were greeted by friendly receptionists like Natalia and Cata. The accommodations offered excellent value, and the breakfast was perfect for those who enjoy natural and healthy food options. The hotel features various room types, a spacious corridor, and even a third-floor observation area. As part of a scientific mission for the SETI Institute, we felt right at home. The administrator was also wonderful, and overall, I want to express my gratitude to the entire staff for making our stay so pleasant.

We have been welcomed by the very kind Valentina with a super tasty local limonade. Valentina has been very sweet and helpful. She organised our transit from airport to the hotel and our breakfast to-go. The facilities are exceptional, the atmosphere is warm, comfortable, sharing the legacy of the past. The room are super cosy with thematic decoration. It is lovely. In addition, we have enjoyed a very nice dinner in the restaurant where you can try delightful local food in a charming environnement. Thank you la Yegua loca for this incredible experience, your place is a must stop and your service is impressive!

Great price and location. The most family friendly place we stayed at during our Chile trip - right down to the heated pool - WITH KID TOYS (pool floaties, noodles!). Best continental breakfast. Great WIFI. Able to have an hour long phone call sorting out flight issues. Staff are fluent in English and very helpful. Very helpful to have restaurant on site with accommodating hours.

Small cozy town with lots of restaurants and small shops with souvenirs and handmade handcrafted articles. The artisanal villages are also nice to find beautiful local art and crafts. Go explore little restaurants they have excellent food from chile from delicious empanadas to king crab dishes like “Chupe” that are worth to try. We stayed at Casa Verde 10 minutes in the car from the city center. The owners were really friendly and we felt so welcomed there. Everything is this hotel is clean and comfortable. The bed amd bathroom were fantastic and the view from our room was unforgettable. The owners are korean and have a dinner menu to die for! We tried some dishes like bibimbap and bulgogi beef that were incredibly delicious. We are so happy we stayed here it made our trip more special and enjoyable.

My Experience in Punta Arenas

My Experience in Punta Arenas My experience in Punta Arenas was wonderful. The city has a unique charm, combining history, culture, and the beauty of the southernmost part of Chile. I enjoyed exploring the local attractions and appreciated how welcoming and friendly the people were. The weather was quite chilly and windy, which added to the authentic Patagonian atmosphere. The views of the Strait of Magellan were stunning, and the overall vibe of the city felt peaceful yet full of character. Overall, my time in Punta Arenas was memorable and enjoyable. It’s a great destination for anyone who loves history, nature, and a bit of adventure at the edge of the world.

This is an exceptional park with its iconic mountains and lakes - and wildlife. Great hiking but come prepared for challenging mountain weather. Using a rental car was fine on the all gravel roads though care is required. Don't come with expectations of fine dining as the food available in this remote region is humble.

Puerto Williams looks like it used to be more charming.

Puerto Williams looks like it used to be more charming. Perhaps we came during the Christmas and New Years holiday, but nearly all of the shops and restaurants were closed. I heard that it never really bounced back after COVID, but I am hopeful that we were just there during a slow time, since some of the restaurants and shops looks really charming from the outside. A local told us that it's a combination of things. Cruise ships do stop here, so I am hopeful. However, we did walk around and get some snacks from the local market and sat with a wonderful view of the channel to enjoy our purchases. There were some cafes down near the wharf that we didn't have time to visit. All of the locals were very friendly and helpful. Knowing Spanish is a great help.

Cerro Castillo is a good compromise to stay to visit the park (It's around 45 minutes drive to the Torres Del Paine NP). From Puerto Natales it's 1,5 hours drive and within the park there are only very expensive or very basic (and still expensive) options for staying. You need a car (also in the NP) because of the distances and very limited shuttlebus options.

Small town with great food. The place i stayed was Yendagaia House and I highly recommend it. You can travel by road through Tierra del Fuego to see king penguins at Penguino Rey. The best kept secret here is the Parque Estromalitos. One of the few places in the world you can see them and it's just 10 minutes from this beautiful city.

We say PN on three different days, while transiting for various activities -- a windy cold and rainy day, that was just about getting food and groceries before heading north to Torre Del Paine -- a sunny day, that was still very windy and cold -- and finally, a beautiful warm california like day, that was stunning for it's views (and I'm told rare). We enjoyed walking around town and buying some gifts. A day or two for a layover makes for a way to wind down from hiking. The airport is limited, but good. We enjoyed watching the ducks (or they might be black neck geese) in the water, the rabbits at Remota (Lodge).

Epic stunning views! It’s a trip & many hikes worth making. Wish we could spend more time amongst the mountains and/or drive around exploring without having to worry about the lack of petrol station in TNP. The roads are mostly gravel with many many pot holes! Good to see sectors of the roads are being re-surfaced during our trip.

Charming town with lots of little shops for its size.

Charming town with lots of little shops for its size. We were here just after the tourist season which may be why so many were closed. But we came for the trekking which did not disappoint. The town is friendly and myself (49 male) and my 19YO daughter felt comfortable walking anywhere in town at any hour.
