First of all, it’s beautiful! I didn’t expect this kind of style from Hyatt—they usually go for some kind of gold-plated extravagance. But here, it feels like you’re in a chic bookstore. By the way, they actually sell books—there are absolutely stunning art, design, and fashion coffee-table books. Second, the rooms are incredibly comfortable; everything is smart and thought out down to the smallest detail. Even all kinds of chargers are already plugged in for you by the bed. The shower is the size of my kitchen. A gorgeous breakfast and good tea available around the clock. And most importantly—the price. It feels like an 8-star hotel (there’s a spa and a pool, by the way). Price-wise, it’s a European two-star. $90 a night. Fantastic. It’s located right at the airport—perfect!

The staff were super helpful and welcoming. Any problems or questions they went out of their way to help. The communal breakfast / dining area was a great way to meet other travellers and all the staff. In the room, it was clean and all of the facilities worked well. Personally I chose this for the location. There is a short walk to the metro and from there most of the hotspots were a few stops and a transfer away. Or when I was feeling a little daring, I rented one of the bikes and rode to my destination which is another adventure. And that way was 20-30 minutes following along the roads.

I loved my stay at this hotel. It is clean, comfortable, and really nice. My plane landed in Beijing at 4:50 a.m., and I was already at the hotel by 7 a.m. They checked me in early and let me use my room even though check-in was supposed to be at 3 p.m. (I really appreciated this after a 10-hour flight). They also let me have breakfast that morning! The rooms are clean, and the staff is very nice. They speak English well enough for communication. I had to check out early because of an early flight, so breakfast wasn’t open yet, but they gave me a breakfast box to go. I will definitely stay here again.

A Luxurious Retreat with Exceptional Service My stay at NUO Hotel Beijing was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment I arrived, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of refined elegance and impeccable hospitality. The club lounge was an absolute highlight—beautifully designed, offering a tranquil escape with stunning views towards the distant mountains. The food in the executive lounge was exceptional, with an impressive selection of gourmet delights throughout the day, from exquisite breakfast options to indulgent evening canapés. The service in the lounge was second to none, with staff who anticipated every need, always attentive and incredibly professional. The room was spacious, stylish, and well-appointed, with plush furnishings and floor-to-ceiling windows that framed breathtaking views of Beijing’s skyline and the mountains beyond. Every detail, from the luxurious bedding to the thoughtful in-room amenities, exuded comfort and sophistication. Breakfast at the hotel was a feast for the senses—a vast array of international and local delicacies presented with impeccable quality and freshness. Whether enjoying a classic Western spread or indulging in authentic Chinese flavors, every bite was a delight. For those seeking wellness and relaxation, the gym was superbly equipped, catering to every fitness need. The pool area was stunning, a peaceful oasis within the bustling city, though the water was a touch cool for my preference. Overall, NUO Hotel Beijing delivers an unparalleled experience of luxury, comfort, and world-class service. A truly outstanding stay—I can’t wait to return!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The reception staff and concierge were very friendly and professional – the concierge even arranged a great trip to the Great Wall with an English-speaking driver, which made everything so easy. The hotel offers beautiful views from the higher floors, a nice pool and spa, and even a robot that delivers items to your room – our kids absolutely loved that! Best of all, the hotel is directly connected to a shopping mall, so when it rained or got too hot outside, we had food, shops, and entertainment literally inside the hotel. A wonderful and convenient place to stay!

Everything about this hotel is excellent, the location, breakfast and also the staffs. Considering that is located in the hutong, the hotel room is rated excellent too. Loves the breakfast served in the hotel. The staffs are extremely helpful, and warm thus making our stay a very pleasant one in Beijing. Location of the hotel is centralised, and within walking distance to F&Bs and other amenities. Highly recommended and worth every cents paid for our stay.

I didn't stay at the hotel as it was far too dirty and unkept for me. My box room was based on the first floor with no lift and rickety carpeted dirty stairs. The room itself was tiny with no television. There was a tiny locker which I guessed was to store my clothes. There wasn't any space to leave my suitcase appropriately as the room was much too small. The bathroom and toilet were situated in the room with a wall that divided the area. On arrival there was no toilet paper and it seems that no provisions were made for my upcoming arrival. My luggage was left in the dirty reception area for well over an hour, as the person who apparently does the transportation was not around and I was unable to carry it up the small area of two flights of stairs. The reception computer keyboard was filthy and covered with dirt and dust. The young lady on reception appeared understanding when I said I couldn't stay there due to the dirty unkempt hotel. I'm saddened to write this negative review as she seemed like a lovely lady. I then went onto Booking.com and managed to secure a lovely apartment for the remainder of my stay.

Great communication and very helpful, it took me a long time to get through immigration at the airport, I did a lot of research but it was still not easy, the signage is poor and there are two different types of entry visas', signage at the airport does not make it clear which is which, Sophie waited a long time for me at the airport as I have booked the transfer from the airport to the hotel, she was very patient and super friendly, talked to me about living in China etc, very helpful, also made sure I had money for the shops by overcharging for the room to give me Yuan in exchange. Organised my trip back to the airport in the morning, no issues at all. No TV's in the room but not sure what use they would be anyway for an English speaker with no Chinese language skills :) just make sure you can entertain yourself. Shops immediately out the front of the hotel if you want to get a couple of beers or buy some food, literally across the very minor road. Fantastic as a layover between flights.

It's best for the great wall.

It's best for the great wall. I recommend going to simatai for the sunset, jinshanling for the awe inspiring views and panlong for the untamed wild serenity. To get to panlong, you need to didi or get a car to the bottom, then pay 25rmb to get in. Once at the top, turn right (east). You have to come back the way you came(apparently there is another way down but we couldn't find it). Wear sensible shoes. Miyun isn't easy to get around. Factor in the price of hiring a car into your trip.

I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to travel on the subway and take the train to and from the airport - no need to rely on taxis or private drivers. The city is huge, so it is not always easy to walk from area to area, but nice strolling within certain districts such as north and south of Forbidden Palace. Be sure to book visits such as the Forbidden City and Tiannamen Square in advance to be sure of getting a ticket. Also download Alipay before you get there as that is how you pay for almost everything - we didn't take out/change any cash at all. The Great Wall is a must while in Beijing as it is awe inspiring. You can travel by yourself on public transportation but if you are tight on time or a group of four people then take a driver. This makes it hassle free and allows you to enjoy maximum time on the wall. We went to Jinshanling section which is around 130km outside of Beijing but is less busy and you can walk on the wall for kilometres.

An extremely well organized and very quiet city thanks to the electric vehicles and electric scooters. It's very history and very large. Distances on the map are deceiving when walking around the City. Taxis are very easy to use, remember the Didi app to use taxis. The monuments are amazing, Forbidden City is entered on the EAST side (not the South main gate), and there is a high level of security around Tiananmen Square so give yourself plenty of time to get through the the security gates.

From the warm welcome offered by most staff and the ample parking facilities, to the overall comfortable accommodations, I was quite satisfied with my stay.
