Good location, very clean, comfortable room (isolation, washing machine, large and cozy bed…). We really like the idea of hotel with kitchen corner: after going out for restaurants, sometime stray in our room (hotel rooms are big enough) to have dinner together with family or friends is wonderful. Same for the washing machine idea: so thoughtful and practical for our tourist. We also tried the restaurant at 1st floor: high quality restaurant with omg cuisine and service!

The staff were super helpful and welcoming. Any problems or questions they went out of their way to help. The communal breakfast / dining area was a great way to meet other travellers and all the staff. In the room, it was clean and all of the facilities worked well. Personally I chose this for the location. There is a short walk to the metro and from there most of the hotspots were a few stops and a transfer away. Or when I was feeling a little daring, I rented one of the bikes and rode to my destination which is another adventure. And that way was 20-30 minutes following along the roads.

I had an exceptionally pleasant stay at the Holiday Inn Express Beijing Dongzhimen by IHG, and I can confidently say that it exceeded my expectations in every aspect. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that the hotel is run with a high level of professionalism and organization—likely a reflection of its strong international brand standards. The staff were consistently warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. They were not only friendly but also highly efficient, always ready to assist and quick to offer practical solutions whenever needed. One detail that truly stood out to me was the availability of coffee machines in the lobby, accessible at any hour of the day. This thoughtful amenity added a great deal of comfort and convenience, especially after long days of exploring the city. The breakfast experience was equally impressive. There was a rich and diverse selection of dishes catering to a wide range of tastes, including both local specialties and international options. Everything was fresh, well-presented, and satisfying—an excellent way to start the day. The hotel’s location is another major advantage. It is situated within easy walking distance of a metro station served by two different lines, which makes navigating Beijing incredibly convenient. Even with just one line, the city’s metro system is remarkably efficient and well-connected, allowing seamless access to virtually any destination. Furthermore, the hotel is located in a lively and central area, with several shopping centers, restaurants, and cafes all within walking distance. Overall, my experience was outstanding. The combination of excellent service, thoughtful amenities, and a prime location made my stay truly memorable. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Beijing, and I would gladly choose to stay here again in the future.

we were group of 8 friends and all of us agree, that very convenient location - opposite the railway station, but, unlike in Europe in doesn’t mean the area is you know :)) not very nice, on contrary - it is a bonus. Rooms have a wonderful design, tea in the lobby, variety of candies, these small things are very nice. Please be aware that not all the rooms have opening windows - but! Thanks to the wonderful girl at the reception - she explained to me that windows can be opened in other rooms facing the street and kindly offered to change the room. As a matter of fact - staff in this hotel is simply fantastic - fast, smart , helpful - real hospitality ! Thank you Vincent, White and Alise. So much help when you are in the country where you don’t know the language and local culture. They helped with food delivery and basically with every question we have had. We have noticed that in Beijing it is generally very hot in the inside premises everywhere and hotel doesn’t have cool mode during this period for climate control - so windows issue can solve it. We have used 2 hotels in Beijing and Paragon is the winner :) Breakfast is very rich - so definitely it is better to choose option breakfast

Beautiful Hotel with Artful Design and Perfect Location! This hotel is truly a gem! The location is ideal—directly connected to a mall, which made shopping and dining extremely convenient. The design and atmosphere are truly unique; every corner of the hotel felt like a piece of art. It was a pleasure just walking around and admiring the details. The rooms and common areas were exceptionally clean and well-maintained, adding to the overall comfort of our stay. A special thank you to the General Manager for the kind gesture of offering a lovely souvenir to me and my husband at check-out. It was a thoughtful touch that made our experience even more memorable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a stylish, convenient, and welcoming place to stay!

I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to travel on the subway and take the train to and from the airport - no need to rely on taxis or private drivers. The city is huge, so it is not always easy to walk from area to area, but nice strolling within certain districts such as north and south of Forbidden Palace. Be sure to book visits such as the Forbidden City and Tiannamen Square in advance to be sure of getting a ticket. Also download Alipay before you get there as that is how you pay for almost everything - we didn't take out/change any cash at all. The Great Wall is a must while in Beijing as it is awe inspiring. You can travel by yourself on public transportation but if you are tight on time or a group of four people then take a driver. This makes it hassle free and allows you to enjoy maximum time on the wall. We went to Jinshanling section which is around 130km outside of Beijing but is less busy and you can walk on the wall for kilometres.

Great communication and very helpful, it took me a long time to get through immigration at the airport, I did a lot of research but it was still not easy, the signage is poor and there are two different types of entry visas', signage at the airport does not make it clear which is which, Sophie waited a long time for me at the airport as I have booked the transfer from the airport to the hotel, she was very patient and super friendly, talked to me about living in China etc, very helpful, also made sure I had money for the shops by overcharging for the room to give me Yuan in exchange. Organised my trip back to the airport in the morning, no issues at all. No TV's in the room but not sure what use they would be anyway for an English speaker with no Chinese language skills :) just make sure you can entertain yourself. Shops immediately out the front of the hotel if you want to get a couple of beers or buy some food, literally across the very minor road. Fantastic as a layover between flights.

It's best for the great wall.

It's best for the great wall. I recommend going to simatai for the sunset, jinshanling for the awe inspiring views and panlong for the untamed wild serenity. To get to panlong, you need to didi or get a car to the bottom, then pay 25rmb to get in. Once at the top, turn right (east). You have to come back the way you came(apparently there is another way down but we couldn't find it). Wear sensible shoes. Miyun isn't easy to get around. Factor in the price of hiring a car into your trip.

An extremely well organized and very quiet city thanks to the electric vehicles and electric scooters. It's very history and very large. Distances on the map are deceiving when walking around the City. Taxis are very easy to use, remember the Didi app to use taxis. The monuments are amazing, Forbidden City is entered on the EAST side (not the South main gate), and there is a high level of security around Tiananmen Square so give yourself plenty of time to get through the the security gates.

It was our first time in Chine and Beijing was very nice to visit and put more context to what it is like to be in China. Great history and places to visit however it was a bit too crowded in some area compare to what we are used to. It is nice to be prepare with the app that works there before leaving our country otherwise it would be very hard to function as we do not speak their language

From the warm welcome offered by most staff and the ample parking facilities, to the overall comfortable accommodations, I was quite satisfied with my stay.
