Rooms are excellent, especially old furnitures. It seems like home and there is a life in there. Staffs were so friendly and kind. Very convenient to the Lechweg Trail. The room had been renovated and reflected traditional and modern decor. It was spacious, clean and comfortable and had a simple kitchenette. I had dinner and breakfast at the property and both were super with very friendly patrons and staff. I was also able to buy a bag lunch to go which was perfect for a day of hiking.

The rooms are nice and cozy, with that old charm. Everything was clean, comfortable, and had a homey feel that made it even more relaxing. There are no toilets/showers in the rooms, but the shared facilities are close, warm, and private when you are in them. There's no risk of someone walking in while you shower for example. Food was also excellent, I would even advise that the portions are very generous! The salad was amazing, and over delivered on quantity and taste. Really was the icing on the cake so to say.

The room was fantastic for our family of 4. The kids had bunk beds next to us, and we had a beautiful view up thre mountain. The room was very clean, and all the facilities were too. It was a really nice place. The staff were very helpful, with all our questions. We didn't have breakfast there, as we wanted a cafe on the way to Munich. The check in experience, with the complimentary gift of sparkling water. The kids play area was fantastic with lots of space to run around.

Our daughter has celiac disease and we chose this hotel because of all the gluten-free options for food. The view from our room balcony was amazing, all of the staff were amazing and the location was the best. We stayed here with our 10 year old daughter and there were some families with younger children, but the crowd was mostly older couples. We found that a plus because everyone was very respectful and it was a peaceful, quiet stay.

Füssen is not a typical mountain town with local atmosphere.

Füssen is not a typical mountain town with local atmosphere. It is a stop-over for most travelers to visit the famous castles pictures in movies. Hundreds of international travelers pour off the train and proceed directly to the buses to visit the castles. Therefore, the feeling in the town is "weird." // Yes, it's a tourist town, but not upscale or posh. The restaurants are overly-priced. I saw numerous street people shuffling thru the streets and going thru the trash cans! // But, the museum in St. Mang monastery was one of the finest museums I've ever visited. // So, the mountains, museums, brilliant sunshine, Old Town architecture were well-worth a visit. However, the surreal lack of local pride and flair in the town was off-putting.

The town is lovely for a walk and for viewing the painted buildings. You can also get some good beer. Prices are higher due to the proximity of the castle. The town is an ideal place to stay for visiting the castle or for hiking. The roads are well maintained, as are the cycling and hiking trails. Our visit was at the end of September, with slightly worse weather, so we did not experience any crowds.

What I especially liked, Ehrwald has everything close by: restaurants, cable cars, and beautiful hiking trails. It’s the perfect starting point for tours and enjoying the local cuisine. I ate at Hoisler’s Wirtshaus, on the Ehrwalder Alm, and at Papas Café Bar – all of them were tasty and had a cozy atmosphere. Getting around Ehrwald is super easy. You can take the bus, explore on foot, or drive – everything is well connected. There are lots reat activities for solo travelers: A trip to the highline179 in Reutte, Tyrol was a real highlight – the suspension bridge offers breathtaking views and is easy to reach. While you're there, you can also take in the impressive Ehrenberg castle complex. Hiking from the Seebensee to the Drachensee or visiting the Eibsee are also highly recommended – stunning scenery and well worth the effort.

Biberwier is a beautiful, pastoral village nestled in the Austrian Alps, offering a serene and picturesque environment for visitors. The village is perfectly situated, providing easy access to a variety of nearby attractions, including skiing and hiking trails, scenic lakes, and cultural landmarks. It's an excellent base for exploring the Tyrolean region, with its charming local atmosphere and close proximity to popular destinations like the Zugspitz Arena, the Marienberg ski area, and the breathtaking Fernpass region. For those looking for a peaceful retreat with plenty of outdoor activities, Biberwier is an ideal choice. However, it is important to research your accommodation options carefully to ensure a pleasant stay.

We loved the tiny town with everything so close by. It was so clean and the people really lovely. It was fantastic catching up with family after 28 years!! We had the best breakfast at Hotel Lowen and a really great pizza and pasta night at I’ll Castro . Very good value and excellent traditional food. We used Nesselwang as a base and daily went on trips. We visited Salzburg, Innsbruck , Lake Konigsee, Lake Konstanz, Heididorf in Switzerland and so much more.
