CanadaLocation was nice and quiet, very pretty town with nice Christmas decorations. Breakfast had many good options and all of them were good. The room had the blackout shutters which was great as well. Staff was also very helpful coordinating a cab for me on the day I left.

Super, super nice staff, can't hope for anything better. The hotel itself is 'oldschool cool' in the right way. So if you like sleek, bright business hotels? Not for you. If you like good old hospitality, and almost historic rooms? GO FOR IT. actually just booked a room for mid July again. Lovely might be the right word for this hotel. All the little touches, like fruit in the room, and a chocolate at check out? perfect hospitality

A beautiful place to easily visit and find little details about the city.
A visit to the Munot Fortress is certainly worth it.
Lots of restaurants, bars and shops to choose from.

It's a quaint and historic village on the Rhine river.
It's a quaint and historic village on the Rhine river. Great restaurants and coffee shop places. Good shopping. Little kids train is sometimes running and a great outdoor playground with lots of wooden climbing features. Their festivals are fantastic.

The room was nice and clean and the staff was helpful on arrival. However the room was on the second floor with no lift. This is a problem for elderly or limited strength people with more than cabin luggage. Whilst the staff assisted with carrying the suitcases upstairs, no such help was provided on the way out. There is also a bar downstairs with music playing until midnight, which prevented us from sleeping until after the music stopped. There is a bus stop across the road with 10 minute services to Schaffhausen station.

This is a walkable city, with great neighborhoods and restaurants. This was also one place where we could mingle with local residents and learn to chat in German briefly. It is tourist friendly but not overwhelmed by tourists like some other places in Switzerland. It is strategically located to for a visit to Rhein Falls.

Very quaint town along the Rhein river.
Very quaint town along the Rhein river. Easy to drive to Schaffhausen and Rheinfalls. Also easy access to the boats going up and down the river. We rented eBikes at River Bike in town, and there are some great bike paths (like Stein am Rhein to Diessenhofen which goes through a forest in Germany).

The hotel is located on an ok location, not too far from the waterfall. We could easily get to the watrfall on foot.
The hotel even alloved us to leave our car on the parking after the checkout time.
They were friendly, the room clean, the breakfast sufficient.

Great town: beautiful old city. Great region. Top attractions are the Rheine Falls, Stein am Rhein, but a not long train trip takes you to the german city of Konstanz. You can get boat trips on Lake Konstanz.

The Rheinfall is a must see.
The Rheinfall is a must see. Many restaurants were closed presumably due to Covid. We had to eat in snack-bars except when we found a Pizza restaurant. The pizza was great. There is not a lot to see in Neuhausen itself apart from the spectacular falls, but there are many possibilities to walk on trails along the banks of the river including to Schaffhausen and accross a bridge to Furlingen. I would recommend staying in Schaffhausen and either walking to the falls or taking a short train ride to Neuhausen. Some of the trails have rather steep inclines so some older people may have difficulties. Neuhausen seems to be more a back-packers hotel location and accomodation is basic but overpriced, certainly where we stayed.
