The staff is very helpful with info, friendly and capable. The breakfast is excellent with a good selection, including local delicacies. The location of the hotel is very good for exploring Hiddensee, other nearby locations that require travel by boat, and visiting Jasmund National Park.

This would be a pretty good hotel, clean, comfortable (rooms in summer were a bit hot, especially under the roof, no AC nor fan), good garden, good location, good breakfast... but with a different management. It is family-run and they clearly have not been to the school of hospitality. The lady owner has mood changes and is never missing a chance to shout at guests for any excuse, lecture them lengthily, and does never listen. There are also memory issues there, as, the day we arrived, we were angrily told she had told us "the day before" what the last order time in their restaurant was. She would not listen when we said we had just arrived (even checked in with her). All the while, what appeared to be a relative (doing service but also check-ins/out), laughing openly at guests in the total confusion. Such a lack of respect for guests is just not acceptable and at times, it really felt the business is run by people out of their minds. Frankly horrible and repulsive... what a pity.

The hotel staff were very friendly and efficient. The breakfast was versatile. The beach was shown from the balcony. The location was quiet. The parking lot was just by the hotel. Watching the sunset was very enjoyable. If you are there for a short vacation and okay to eat limited options food and no internet in the room then this place is recommended.

Beautiful nature, natural beaches with fine sand, but also rocky beaches with beautiful stones, opportunities for trips to Jasmund Nature Park or Hiddensee Island. There are few people here. A great place!

If you are looking for a peacful place with no many people...

If you are looking for a peacful place with no many people it is the place for you. It is very small town with one restaurant, one coffee shop. Market is 4 km from the town but there are many cycle paths so there is no problem at all. There are beautifull beaches but there is a problem with dark algae, so if you want to sunbathe you need to cross those algae first. After few days in Breege I am totally relaxed.

The location is perfectly fine for kids to play in sand and take bath. Plan to take cycles or hire there. Sun rise and sun set can be seen easily although need to travel from one end to other end. East beach is sandy and flat while the western beach is rocky and u need to get down and also goes deep immediately.

Very nice and cozy mansion in the countryside, you can explore the island easily by car. Lots of nice coastal restaurants in the nearby locations. Breakfast and dinner are available at the hotel, so do not need to worry about chasing food.

Lancken is wonderful to the travelers.

Lancken is wonderful to the travelers. It is surrounded by fascinating possiblitities to walk. The beach is near but not as expected. Onlyy nice to dogs, so to say. However, the hosts tried hard to get along with travelers of all colour. The whole village had only one couple of original people. The major's house was completely destructed without roof and rooms.

A Hidden Gem with Incredible Scenery - Dranske Municipality During our stay in Rügen, we had the pleasure of exploring the charming municipality of Dranske. A small, picturesque community spanning 20.79 km², it is home to a modest population of 1,127 (as of March 2019). Nestled 3.0 meters above sea level, Dranske offers breathtaking views, including the cliffs of the Danish island Møn on clear days. The municipality includes several beautiful areas such as Dranske, Banz, Bug, Dranske-Hof, Goos, Gramtitz, Kreptitz, Kuhle, Lancken, Nonnevitz, and Starvitz, each with its unique charm. Dranske's rich history adds to its appeal. First mentioned in 1314 in a list of prince's taxes collected by a Brunswick knight, Dranske has a history that intertwines with the broader Rügen Island. The district of Nonnevitz was even documented earlier in 1193 when Jaromar I, Prince of Rügen, donated it to the Cistercian Monastery in Bergen. Today, Dranske is a testament to the island's historical richness and natural beauty. It's a fantastic place to unwind, explore, and get a taste of the idyllic Rügen life. I highly recommend a visit! Breege is a quiet fishing village, makes a great base to explore the area. I am not sure how full it gets in summer as there are many holiday homes around. I would stay in Breege again. I'd say it's more for families and peoples who don't seek partying. The area is good for a beach holiday, fishing, boating, cycling, hiking and watersports. Breege- Juliusruh is smaller than the other resorts on Rügen and by accounts from others doesnt get overcrowded in the summer months.
