This hotel is a little gem of a place. The room was very bohemian and great. We had a lovely terrace where we finished off the evening. Breakfast was lovely served on a shaded patio. The staff spoke great English and were very helpful. Would definitely return.

The pool area was lovely. Breakfast was great value & plenty of gluten free options. Restaurant & bar prices were good. Staff went above & beyond, we were in the town & needed a taxi back but our lack of Spanish was making it difficult. We rang the hotel & they got one to us in a few minutes! Would definitely like to stay again.

An unforgettable stay from start to finish. Our room was absolutely spotless, beautifully maintained and incredibly comfortable. The staff struck the perfect balance of warm, welcomingand genuinely attentive, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The hotel itself is set in a stunning historic location, which adds a unique charm to the entire experience. On top of that, the wellness facilities are exceptional: a relaxing sauna, a perfectly kept pool and a wonderful Turkish bath that made our stay even more enjoyable. It’s rare to find a place that gets everything right... but this hotel truly does. We can’t recommend it highly enough. the 2 Italian managers were exceptionally professional and welcoming as well as the two reception secretaries, whose kindness made every interaction a pleasure. We also want to thank the guys at the entrances who were always attentive and helpful.

Fantastic hotel, everything about our stay was amazing. Great room facilities, lovely helpful staff. The restaurant food and wine were excellent. Stayed with motorbikes and they arranged for them to be securely parked. If ever back in the area we would definitely stay again. Only downside is they don’t own more hotels to visit and stay at 😆. Definitely recommend.

The property is located in the center of Montanchez. We liked the fact that it is very close to the castle and the main square. The room was big and nicely furnished. Even though it was very warm on the day we arrived (38C) the in-room AC is very good. Carlota was very friendly and helpful and gave us a lot of recommendations for things to see in town. One thing to note, the access roads to the property (and elsewhere within central Montachez) are very narrow, so if you are driving a bigger rental car (or don't feel too confident navigating narrow medieval alleyways), it might be better to try and park further out. We had a smaller rental car (Open Corsa) and we were able to find free parking within 150m from the property. There are a few places to eat close by (no more than 2-3 minutes away) within the main square. The castle is about 10 minutes away, up a steep slope.

The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Checked we had everything we needed. The house was clean and well equipped, ans in a beautiful setting. Our junior suite was directly opposite the amazing pool, so only about 10m. It had great (& quiet) aircon, needed as it was 39 degrees. The pool is like a beach theme so you can easily walk in, lay in to read and swim properly as well. It is an infinity pool with great views of the mountains. Our house had a terrace with dining table/chairs, relaxing chairs and a bed for sunbathing. We went as a three, my husband and 15 Yr old daughter so she slept on the sofa bed (which she said was very comfortable) Inside the rooms we're spacious and clean. There was enough to cook a little with 2 ring hob, microwave, toaster and coffee machine as well as a dishwasher. Manoli supplied water, milk and coffee plus delivered fresh bread every morning with butter, jam, olive oil and tomato paste for breakfast which was wonderful. All replenished if requested. The gardens and pool were cleaned and watered every day and were beautiful and well tended. There is a campsite next door with a lovely restaurant serving local food and pizza, which can be to take away too. Great place, and will definitely come back. Loved it

Very cosy apartment - more like a house, lovely sitting room with fireplace and upstairs bedrooms. The accomodation is in a secluded location but well located as it is very close to a good major road to explore the area (don't be discouraged, road noise is negligible if at all present) and close to a friendly village, and can also be combined as a base for visiting the nearby Sao Mamede park area in Portugal (the border is just a few minutes away). The garden and swimming pool area are great (unfortunately we visited out of season so still too chilly to swim), you wake up listening to all the birds. You can also have a walk in the wooded area which is part of the property, or start a hike directly from your doorstep. Very friendly host, went out of her way to make sure we had a great stay. Recommended base for the area, lots of beautiful nature spots and prehistoric sites in the area and Caceres (should you wish to visit a city) just an hour away.

Absolutely wonderful cute little houses. Very clean with all facilities. The jacuzzi after a long drive hit the spot! Beautiful views and great facilities We didn't stay the right time of the year for the pool so will need to go back! It was completely silent, the bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept in and I going to look for the same bedding which was super cosy. Very friendly staff and the breakfast was lovely. Plasencia is a small town, the centre has narrow hilly streets, parking in the centre is difficult but there is plenty of free parking near to the park with an escalator to take you up the steep hill to the centre. There are several supermarkets, a Carrafeur on the North side and several smaller supermarkets on the south side. There is a river running along the East side. There are many restaurants available, fast food near to the Carrafeur and more upmarket ones in the centre. Plasencia is at the foot of the Jerte valley, where most of the cherries in Spain are grown, you can drive to the top of the valley, which takes around an hour and is very scenic.

Hotel lovely but surrounding cafe restaurants were a little shoddy, a sweep of the streets now and then could go a long way, not alot of variation. Nice shops selling local produce. Recommend Dalboroque lovely little bar selling craft beers and really nice wines get some tapa there too. Run by a lovely young lady named Jessica, well worth a visit and only 2 or 3 minutes from the parador on Calle Gregorio Lopez 3

Hervás is a centre for walking activities in the Ambroz Valley and is surrounded by forests and mountain ranges. The town itself has a modern part with all the usual amenities. However, the heart of Hervás is the historical Jewish Quarter that runs from one of the pretty squares down to the Ambroz River. This part is Medieval and very interesting and atmospheric. Hervás boasts an excellent book shop and many shops dedicated to local produce. There are good restaurants and coffee shops. It's a perfect base for a holiday in this part of Extremadura, Spain.

Great easy location close to motorway with friendly staff. Building is in need of some tlc but for the price is good value. We only stayed for one night on our way to the north coast and ate dinner in their onsite restaurant. Menu was limited but sufficient for one night. Lovely big gardens with super pool and poolside bar. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We will use this place again as a one night stopover on our way north and south.

Caceres is a lovely old mediaeval city, walled and interesting, but not too touristy. We will certainly go back, because there's more to see (even though it's a compact old town, there's a lot there). The bars and restaurants aren't a rip-off: we had a very good menu del dia for 17 euros - slightly more than one would pay in a village restaurant or a via de servicio, but we were on the Plaza Mayor, just below the city walls, and the food was excellent and very generous. The rest of the city has plenty of nice bars and restaurants as well.

Interesting old town and surprisingly few tourists. We booked in advance a guided visit (in English) through the tourist office wich is to recommend. We tried the restaurants InMercado and Casa Juan and both had good food to fair prices. Casa Juan had an unusual table decor and served a typical local dinner including the sheep milk cheese Tarta de Casar.

Trujillo is a fascinating historical city with plenty to see. Take time to wander the streets and visit the museums. The Tourist Office, whilst helpful, could not offer guided tours in English and our 2 hour tour in Spanish was challenging even if you have a good level of Spanish. But it did introduce us to back streets which I didn't see the last time I was in Trujillo. It is also only just over an hour by car to Guadalupe, Caseres, Placensia and the National Park. Stunning scenery. We lucked out the first night finding the amazing Alberca Asador restaurant near to our hotel. There are lots of restaurants in the main plaza for all tastes with a more holiday vibe.

Guadalupe is a good stop on the way south to Cordoba and Andalucia. Off the beaten track enough to be free of too much traffic although the Black Virgin and the Cathedral attract a lot of visitors. Around the square in front of the Cathedral are many bars, restaurants and little shops. A great place for a coffee and doing some sketching. If staying for a few days you can visit Monfrague and walk in the Sierra de Guadalupe. This is the original of all the Guadalupes around the world.
