This is the best place to stay if you are coming to Ciutadella. 🤩 Staff are amazing, I cant thank them enough for how kind and helpful they were throughout our stay. Toni and Irene always made sure we felt like home, and gave us amazing advices were to go to explore the island. There is free parking around the hotel and they also have a pool. Breakfast is the best I have had so far. Doesn´t have hot options, but, who wants hot options in summer? 😉 They offer you local products for breakfast including Mahon cheese, sobrasada and ensaimadas, apart from others. There is an exit on the back of the hotel to access to the cala 😊 If you have the chance to book in this hotel, you will not regret at all! Much love to you guys, wishing to visit Menorca again soon! 💙

A lovely boutique hotel, very well located, on a quiet and pretty street in Ciutadella. The staff are extremely helpful and are available to give you tips to make your stay as pleasant as possible. There are many wonderful restaurants within walking distance and it is very pleasant to stroll around the center in the evening. I think it is an excellent option for those who want to explore the island of Menorca. Breakfast is also very good, although in the summer, if you want to go to the most famous beaches you have to leave the hotel before breakfast starts.

We had an excellent stay at the Hotel Romandre. The hotel staff were incredibly kind to us. We felt at home but only better. The hotel is located in the town of Alaior, which is fairly central on the island. The airport is only a 15-20 minute drive from the hotel. There are several beaches nearby as well as shops. On Wednesday afternoons there is a small market with local artisans. I will choose this hotel again for my future trips to the island of Menorca. I highly recommend it.

Unhurried life in unspoilt nature

A beautiful Balearic Island, Menorca (or Minorca) has wonderful beaches, sandy coves and a more laidback atmosphere than its neighbours Ibiza and Majorca. Boasting the world’s 2nd largest natural harbour, its capital Mahon is the centre of the nightlife, with several clubs and bars. However, as soon as you head to one of the Menorca resorts, things start to slow down. Punta Prima along the coast has a lovely Blue Flag beach, while the longest beach at Son Bou on the south coast is lined by protected sand dunes. Much of Menorca’s unspoilt beauty is ecologically important, so it’s worth heading inland from the beaches to explore the mountains. The views from the highest peak Monte Toro are amazing. Also worth checking out are the ‘taula’ – prehistoric megaliths whose origin is a mystery. Another prehistoric monument is the Naveta tomb near Ciutadella, a city centred on its port, partly lined with walls. Fantastic Cala Blanca and Cala’n Bosch to the south have a good range of luxury Menorca hotels available on Booking.com, as does curving Cala Galdana where the sea appears almost green. In the more rocky north of the island, the main resorts are Fornells – a pretty fishing village – and Arenal d’en Castell, home to yet another wonderful horseshoe bay.

This was our first time holiday with kid in this type of resort and I was really astonished. We decided according the very good reviews and it was worthy of it. All people working there are really kind and trying as hard as possible to make your stay memorable. As it is "family" place, there were kids of very small age everywhere, and I liked a lot the preparedness of all facilities for it, especially two restaurants, where you automatically get a chair for a small kid, even a bib. Such small details surprised me and I admire the all employees who were managing very well all types of situations, mainly the busy breakfast and dinners, where kids are running everywhere. All spaces all cleaned every day, the access to beach is very practical and easy, the nature around is beautiful. We had a really great stay, thanks a lot.

We loved the view of our apartment, the staff at the reception was very friendly and polite, they all were very nice and the place in general (swimming pool, splash area, apartment,...) is peaceful and charming. We asked for a cot and it was provided by the resort. My baby slept very well. Perfect place for a family trip! I would definitely recommend it.

Location is really good bus stop is in front of hotel and 10 mins from Ciutadella which is the capital and the hotel is next to Cala en brut. The beach is nice. Staff was very friendly. Rooms are modern comfortable and very clean. Food is nice there are themes for dinner (Mexican, Asian)

it is really beautiful, not only Ciudadela but also the entire island, there are many activities to do, many beaches and places for visiting, also the gastronome is just amazing. The beaches and coves are truly beautiful places to enjoy, with very clean water, a very rich culture, easy access, etc. The island is great!!

Mahon is a walkable, pretty and very clean city, with excellent bars, cafes and restaurants. The Museum of Menorca is outstanding. The rest of the island is in easy reach by car. The whole island is beautiful, and a week was just the right amount of time for us to explore it.

There is good entertainment.

There is good entertainment. Many places for good food and drinks. A very nice beach. Cala en Blanes is a very nice and clean place. It is very nice for oldish people. We find it very good as I am 71 and find it very easygoing. We have been to Cala en Blanes approximately for over 10 years. I’m sure we will be going again.

Lovely quiet location and very safe to walk around. Some amazing cafes and restaurants around the harbour side with stunning views to watch the boats and ships pass by to Mahón. All very reasonably priced for superb local food and drink. Made to feel very welcome as a visitor to the area. Usual small local shops to cater for all needs. Charming place and good transport links to airport and Mahón less than 15 minutes away. Highly recommend Es Castell!

it is a good location if you want to visit the center of Menorca. I walked around Ferreries; it is absolutely not touristic but you have a number of shops and can find what you want, near or in the center. One bar even had Guiness, my favorite beer.

Cala'n Porter is a nice area, I was there is December, public transport was limited, 3-4 buses to Mahon during off season. Beach access is via stairs or walk downhill. There is also the cami de Cavalls trek.

Lovely fruit shop on the corner of the square, good enough parking, lots of cafes and desserts, nice weekly night market. It’s very quick and easy to get to Fornells, the fishing village with all the fresh fish restaurants.

This was our second stay in the area and we have booked for next year. The locals are friendly and the food is a very good standard. The harbour is lovely to visit and walk round by day or night. Our local go to bar is Tom's bar just off the harbour. Where Guinness is only 5.50 euros. Lol. Cala' n Bosch is easy to get to from Mahon airport and the hire of a car is well worth it.

It has been 40 years since we visited.

It has been 40 years since we visited. This time with extended family. 1st week at a property that accommodated 8. 2nd week at the Vista Playa 1. Only one very poor failing in both. Neither property provided good wine glasses for drinking good Spanish wine. Glass tumblers are a bad image. Exception - Vista Playa 1 did provide 2 good wine glasses after our request. One exceptional pleasure was to be accommodated in apartment 0306 with superb views. Many thanks
