A truly unique location on the La Manga strip where you can admire both sunrise and sunset over the sea right from your hotel. Therèse and Gisle (originally from Norway) are exceptionally welcoming and make you feel immediately at home. Rooms are spotless and thoughtfully equipped, with many small complimentary touches and the house is equipped with very useful extras such as beach chairs and umbrellas for you to use. The beach is just 20 meters from your room, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. Cartagena is also a lovely place to visit in the evening by car.

Great food, friendly personnel, everything worked. Not the most modern cabins or the comfiest beds, but included all that we needed and more. The host took really good care of us, even though there was a mixup in the meal package we ordered. They even prepared nice takeaway breakfast bags for us for 2 mornings when we had to hit the road before breakfast time.

Two days was enough to see the sights of the City.

Two days was enough to see the sights of the City. Go to the tourist information office they are very helpful and there is also lots of information available. Prices are reasonable. We couldn't find a city walking tour in English though. Some of the sights only have information in Spanish and you will need to use your mobile phone for information on the places you visit. A number of the sights are closed on Monday so bear this in mind for your arrival day.

Communication with the owner was excellent right from the moment the booking was confirmed. The information on how to access the apartment worked perfectly. The apartment was immaculately clean and equipped with everything required. The only way to describe the views from the terrace are sensational. The area is also so peaceful. Absolute bliss. The apartment has secure underground parking which was wonderful for us as we had been staying on the Costa Del Sol for 7 weeks therefore our car was absolutely full of our personal possessions. This was our first ever visit to the Mar Menor but we intend to return to the area as soon as possible.

Cartagena mid May was great not too busy and mainly local tourists. Food was either amazing or terrible. It was so clean and walking to the tourist locations was a little steep but worth it. We had young teenagers who had a great time but if we were to return it would just be us as a couple. Would highly recommend

Lovely town and beach with plenty of bars and restaurants. Not ruined by over tourism and the prices eating and drinking out are very reasonable and cheaper that at home in the UK. We enjoyed every moment and will definitely be back. Easy access to neighboring towns and two airports to fly to and from at Murcia (20 minutes drive) and Alicante (about 50 minutes drive).

Lorca is a really interesting place with lots of history and many great museums. Everyone we met was passionate about the traditions and celebrations of them. There are a myriad of bars and restaurants. The town looked fab in its Christmas lights and decorations. We will definitely back - probably for Semana Santa despite not being religious. The passion and the dedication were evident in the museums and info. We would like to witness that.

The hotel I had booked into was closed but I wasn’t told until I got there. I had booked a room with balcony and bath. No balcony at new hotel and bath plug didn’t fit so I couldn’t have a bath. Couldn’t regulate the air conditioning so had to open window to allow cool air in. Food mediocre, eg smoked salmon covered in oil which overpowered taste. I booked two massages which were fantastic!
