Its beautiful and clean, our room with balcony and bathtub was comfortable and we loved the stay! The breakfast was really good for the price, we loved especially the local things! The staff was very friendly and helpful, the whole stay was all in all really nice experience, the location is also very nice and central!

The property was historic, but brilliantly modernised. Location was excellent for hiking and the views outstanding. The pool was appreciated after a long hike. Staff did everything they could to make the stay great, even returning a lost dog who had followed us to its elderly owner.

Ourense is a vibrant city with a interesting historical part and a nice modern part. You can enjoy the hot springs there, visit popular landmarks such as the roman bridge, the cathedral and the old town. You can easily travel from Ourense to other parts of Galicia by car, train or coach. You can reach Santiago, Lugo and Vigo in over one hour. You can enjoy the region with its dams, lakes, rivers and wineries. The nature is really green around the city and you can enjoy a lovely day outside the city.

Friendly and accommodating owners.

Friendly and accommodating owners. Although there wasn't much of a view owing to narrow streets the hostal is charmingly situated in the old town with the castle rearing above it. At the price, with breakfast included, I cannot fault the value in staying here. If I were in area again I would certainly stay here again.

Small tawn with long history full of historical places.

Small tawn with long history full of historical places. Beautyful river banks good for walking. Very tasty traditional food! There are Castle ruins, Etnological Museum of Ribadavia, several ancient Churches. Several Festivals are organized and held in Ribadavia - Festival of Vine, Historia Festival, Noite Miega and so on.

Fabulous location in a stunning building.

Fabulous location in a stunning building. Restaurant was very good the staff were attentive and helpful. You definitely need a car to tour the area and indeed to reach the hotel which is perched up high overlooking the valley. The views were stunning

Arrived in the dark so didnt see much, however next day gave us a pleasant surprise that the city centre was smart, good quality shopping, there was a film festival on and everyone looked wealthy. On our return visit 10 days later we enjoyed the main square bars, people watching and evening tapas sat outside the many bars and restaurants, great atmosphere

The location of the Monastery and the building is wonderful.

The location of the Monastery and the building is wonderful. However, it is showing it's age a bit, and aside from Breakfast - the food at the Parador is pretty bad. We ate at local restaurants (there are several within a 15-20 min drive). The entire hotel and spa staff are excellent, as are the waiters in the restaurant - the maitre d of the restaurant - not so much.

Great help from Tourist Information Office staff.

Great help from Tourist Information Office staff. Lovely town with a cathedral, riverside walks, thermal pools and good bars/restaurants. I would return! Outariz Thermal Baths/Spa, a short walk along the river was wonderful - the reception staff were helpful and genuinely interested in my visit.
