The accommodation is comfortable. The room is spacious with clean and hot shower. The breakfast was simple but good. The owner is welcoming and helpful, he always reaches out to make sure everything is okay. The accommodation is not close to the churches but it is very easily to get there by tuktuk. There are some nice restaurants around the accommodation too!

I highly recommand Honey Land Hotel Lalibela. Super friendly owner, who can give us many usuful information about Lalibella, and living in Ethiopia. Also he can arrange quite cheap transport to airport. Hotel serving delicious fresh breakfast made by wife of owner. Romms in hotel are large, clean, bed is very comfortable. Dont think to much, just go to Honey Land Hotel Lalibela. You wont regeret it!

I had a truly wonderful stay at the hotel and would happily recommend it to anyone visiting Lalibela. The location is excellent — beautifully set on the edge of a cliff with spectacular views over the surrounding mountains and valleys, while still being close enough to Lalibela’s famous rock-hewn churches to make sightseeing easy and convenient. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive. As a solo traveller, I really appreciated how comfortable and well looked after they made me feel. They were always happy to help with recommendations, arrange transport or tours, and answer any questions about the area. My room was spotlessly clean, spacious, and very comfortable, and it was beautifully and colourfully furnished. Having a private balcony was a real highlight — the views were absolutely breathtaking and it was the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring, especially at sunset. The hotel also has lovely communal areas. I particularly enjoyed the sunken seating area with an open fire, where early evening drinks are served. The atmosphere in the evenings was warm and relaxed, made even more special by local dancers performing, which added an authentic cultural touch to the experience. Overall, my stay exceeded expectations. The combination of the stunning setting, excellent service, comfortable accommodation, and welcoming atmosphere made this a memorable and enjoyable stay, and I would gladly return.
