We had an amazing time at La Grange De Léone!!
The tranquil nature around, super stylish décore, cosy room, comfortable bedding and spacious bathroom. Breakfast was to our liking as well. Gourmet tea selection, homemade pancakes and good options for a savory meal. Many thanks to Mathilde, the owner of the place!!! She gave us a warm welcome, cooked our breakfast and made us feel like home away from home. Highly recommended!!!❤️❤️❤️

Fabulous historic town that's well worth the (slight) detour...
Fabulous historic town that's well worth the (slight) detour. Medieval half-timbered houses, magnificent cathedral, superb palace of Jacques Coeur that's in the same league as certain châteaux de la Loire. good restaurants, really pleasant museums. PLus it will soon be the European Capital of Culture, so book early !

Excellent options for food and drink with lots of restaurants and bars.
The town feels sleepy and quiet
Excellent vineyards close by so make so you book a tour of any of the quality producers of white, red and rose.

Ideal location for long distant travellers, clean ,comfortable good food and a swimming pool, just what was needed to break the journey. Excellent parking and secure within the property. The staff were helpful and friendly.

Lovely place to stay.
Lovely place to stay. With close proximity to Sancerre it is convenient for wine tourism as well as natural scenery. The restaurant Le Bord De Loire was spectacular. Food, service and local wine selection were top notch! Hotel De La Loire is a gem with views and charming, clean rooms.

We spent one evening looking around as part of our one night (a Tuesday) stopover travelling further south. Gorgeous cathedral caught in the evening light. Beautiful old, half timbered buildings and pretty streets. Plenty going on in the many restaurants and bars.

A gorgeous little French town that was everything we...
A gorgeous little French town that was everything we expected and more! Lots of wine producers and shops as you would imagine, and a lovely square with some great restaurants. The views from in front of the chateau are breathtaking across the vineyards to the Loire River. We only stayed one night as part of a road trip, but will do more next time.

Early evening on Sunday, every thing in france is pretty much shut
There is a “Buffalo Grill “ very near the property, but on previous occasions visiting this restaurant chain . we have received a shocking service and substandard food.
So we would never go to Buffalo Grill again.

Our visit was very short, just one afternoon and evening. We didn’t have much time, but we found the Cathedral Saint Etienne beautiful and well worth the visit. We loved La Pasta restaurant for dinner. Very friendly and welcoming staff and excellent pasta and pizzas. It seems to be well known in Bourges, so reservations are recommended.

If you stay in the village itself, it is a stunning location...
If you stay in the village itself, it is a stunning location with views over the Loire valley. Wine tasting is available in the village and some superb restaurants. We ate at La Taverne du Connétable, which does an amazing Goat Cheese (Local) Creme Brûlée as a starter. I also had an interesting Italian twist to Steak Tartare. Tasted wine at Chateau Sancerre in the village and they have people who speak, at least, English and French.

The access to the hotel by car was easy and the hotel...
The access to the hotel by car was easy and the hotel parking was plentiful.
In the past we were able to bring our own wine and pay corkage but this year we were told to drink it in our room. We got up and left and went to another restaurant.
The restaurant is within the grounds of the hotel but seems to be managed by a different person to the hotel owner.
