- From $296.25 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.7Good - What previous guests thought, 1,959 reviewsThe location was fantastic right in front of the sea in front of the main promenade. Our room was amazing with a huge balcony an sun loungers overlooking the pool with an amazing view of Hondarriba in the distance. The beds were comfortable and the room had everything we needed. We did not eat in the hotel as we decided to get a water taxi for €2.30 each across to Hondarriba which was buzzing with atmosphere and plenty of gastronomical delights to choose from. We really enjoyed the Thalassotherapy pool which was included in our room price. This was amazing. Unfortunately we didn’t have as long as we wanted here as the hotel receptionist on the morning of departure could strangely only organise our taxi for a certain early time although we requested it after check our time so we could fully avail of the Thalassotherapy pool. We thought that she could have been a bit more helpful as the staff on the previous day were extremely nice and understanding and helpful. The hotel breakfast buffet breakfast was quite pricey for us, even the cheaper option of the coffee/croissant was €8 but there are plenty of cafes nearby to choose from. Overall we had a fantastic stay.Guest review byErikaIreland

Bordeaux is a beautiful city, 3 days is probably too short if you take a day to explore the wine regions fx. St. Emilion etc. I would consider 5 days to see everything at a good pace. The city is large and even taking the bus or tram doesnt really save you much time.Guest review byKrishnaDenmark - 10.0

We stayed in the Grand Hotel de l’Opera which right by the Place du Capitole, great location for exploring the city by foot. Lovely pedestrian square with numerous restaurants and bars, would highly recommend La Bibent for dinner.Guest review byJulieUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Biarritz is an absolute treasure of a place to visit.
Biarritz is an absolute treasure of a place to visit. It has so much on offer and if you like surfing, there are multiple places to hire boards and wetsuits as well as a large number of surf schools. We LOVED the swimming beach too and the aquarium. There are many food options for different budgets. As the weather was so nice, we got take away food most evenings and sat on the beach, watching the sun set. There are many restaurants and the brunch scene is big with lots of pretty places to choose from, I highly recommend Les Halles covered market and the little train to get a feel for where everything is. Everyone was so friendly and helpful and we are already planning our return trip!Guest review byJoannaUnited Kingdom - 6.0

For my situation, I needed car park and pets allowed, I wanted to go to the ocean which I did one day and it was amazing - I was too hot and tired to go another day due to no AC in room, outside temp 34 degrees. The area was nice, but I prefer countryside , for my requirements and budget there were no hotels in the countryside for the dates I needed - it all depends on peoples' individual circumstances, for some it is just one night stop over for the airport , I had several requirements , and would have liked another day at the sea. The immediate grounds of the hotel were nice with trees and grass area I could take my dog there first thing in morning and at night.Guest review bybeverleyUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Bayone is a very historic city in the French side of the Basque Country. The old town is charming with plenty of chocolate shops. Saturday all the shops are open but Sunday the town is shut down so plan accordingly. We visited the Basque museum on Sunday - well worth a visit.Guest review byCristinaUnited States - 10.0

Unfortunately, I was only here for a weekend trip, and I didn't have time to visit many of the local sights. A lovely area, especially if you like hiking. Biarritz is a 90 minute drive away and, of course, the Pyrenees are only a few hours drive away, too.Guest review byJitinderUnited Kingdom - 10.0
2 nights is plenty. Architecture is not to be missed.
2 nights is plenty. Architecture is not to be missed. Crowds on market day are crazy unless you go to first thing in morning. The €5 panoramic glass lift is worth it. If you’re vegetarian or like plenty of salad/ vegetables you will struggle with all the restaurant menus foie gras and duck feature heavily.Guest review byIslayUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Loved the dunes.
Loved the dunes. Very difficult to park but our holiday was in peak season so understandable. Quality of food not great and expensive. The best meal we had was at the dunes and that was the cheapest too. Lots to do for everyone but next time we would go out of high seasonGuest review byROYFrance - 6.0

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable. The breakfast was disappointing and too expensive for what it was. Good place to stay if you have an early morning flight out of Toulouse.Guest review byAnneCanada
