- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 172 reviewsThe cottage was amazing and the facilities were a great addition. The view was outstanding, watching the sun rise every morning from the cottage window was beautiful. Having access to the spa and pool after a day of exploring helped us to relax and unwind. The children loved having their own upstairs space along with all the outside space for playing and running around.Guest review bykateUnited Kingdom
- From $128.72 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very Good - What previous guests thought, 812 reviewsThe staff were very friendly and helpful from the start. My husband was on crutches and the room we had been given was at the top of the building. The young man immediately said he would see if we could have a room with less stairs. This was sorted quickly. The room was spacious and spotless, with a very comfy bed. Breakfast good.Guest review bySarah HugginsUnited Kingdom

We received a warm and open welcome wherever we visited - and where we bought something we had excellent value for money (especially AJ's!). We enjoyed a walk along the Brecon and Monmouth Canal as well as a visit to the town.Guest review byMarkUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Merthyr is my home town but I moved away 45 years ago for work purposes. It is steeped in history and played a major part in the industrial revolution. Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park is neardby. Within easy reach are Cardiff, Swansea, Abergavenny and so on, so a great base to work from. If you are into mountain biking Bike Park Wales is based on the outskirts of Merthyr.Guest review byCorneliusUnited Kingdom - 10.0

great variety of shops, restaurants etc , good location for Breacon Beacon walking trails, love how the town is easy to navigate due to plenty of pedestrianised streets and those streets are full of flower boxesGuest review byClodaghIreland - 10.0

It is a beautiful little village set in a very picturesque area, our stop was just overnight after a trip to a dog show in Builth Wells, but it was very enjoyable and we will return again next year and maybe explore some more.Guest review byShirkeiraUnited Kingdom - 8.0

As expected there were a great many book shops. Also some attractive gift type shops and being a Saturday an interesting craft market. Lots of eateries but staying at the Old Black Lion we didn’t need to use them. Very best being a bank holiday weekendGuest review byJeannebUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I don't travel too far from the property, as I am happy with the local context, but if you like travelling out, then there is lots on locally and further out of Llandovery. Lots of stillness, peace and enjoying the natural world. Due to allergies, cooking facilities in the property make it really easy for eating in. Solo and families can enjoy lots of walks. A scattering of independent shops and pubs to enjoy.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Llandeilo is a quaint market Welsh town , steeped in history. it has a good sized Park to walk about, Castle near by, within walking distance. A few interesting shops. A Texaco Petrol station nearby. but no E5 fuel. nearest is in Gorslas, about 15mins drive, 7miles away. We did visit a pub called the White Hart for a big sit down dinner & booked in advance. But found the Pub to be poorly managed & food was pretty poor too. There is another pub/restaurant called The Plough about a mile away. excellent food & Drink choices. Good sized car park & very open. Friendly staff and very attentive. Llandeilo is worth getting out & walking around, has narrow streets & you will miss something quaint & important. Take a camera tooGuest review bySepticUnited Kingdom - 2.0

We unfortunately stay at the pentre riding stables which are not fit to stay in, when we walked in we started to find somewhere else to stay and understand why you don't get a refund because no one would pay to stay here. I walked over the road to the CRAIG-Y- NOS CASTLE. Which is an absolutely beautiful building and the staff are fantastic, unfortunately the had a wedding on so everything was booked. There is one particular young lady who works there, who's birthday was on Saturday May 14. She was absolutely fantastic and so helpful, she does the castle proud unfortunately I don't know her nameGuest review byJohnUnited Kingdom - 6.0

You can see that Ebbw Vale is in decline due to the Steel Works that closed some time ago and the coal mines, also shopping centre that used to be there has closed. Overall not much happening for this town, but the people where very friendlyGuest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Glasbury village is only a few minutes drive south from Hay on Wye in beautiful countryside an right by the river. The Harp Inn is a great place to stay, it's a pub full of character and you get a very warm welcome from the owners. The facilities and food are brilliant and excellent value for money. We will certainly make a return visit next time we are in the area.Guest review byPaulUnited Kingdom
