Beautiful spacious, clean and comfortable room welcomed with chocolate and fudge on arrival was a bonus.. wonderful 5 star a la carte breakfast with a great view of the bustling city in the morning . The staff were exceptional; Edward had allowed us an extended check out since we had a late departure from the airport later in the day. Excellent location with a unique cylindrical architecture( can be spotted from afar more like a landmark in the area) thank you and looking forward to come back.

FAQs about hotels in England

The Small Country with Big Appeal

For a relatively small country, England certainly manages to pack in a wealth of tourist attractions, from Land’s End all the way to Berwick-upon-Tweed.

Words can’t do justice to the capital London - an exciting mix of famous sights, royalty and vibrant life. Manchester, Liverpool and Birmingham are fabulous cities that have emerged from their industrial past to be cutting-edge centres of culture.

Newcastle, Leeds and Bristol are well known for their buzzy music scene, while sedate Oxford and Cambridge are famous for their universities and punting. Stately York still maintains its city walls and Windsor has the wonderful castle where the Queen often resides.

Sheffield and Derby border the magnificent Peak District, while the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales are close to Blackpool, one of England’s favourite beach destinations. Other very popular beaches are in Brighton, Eastbourne, Torquay and Scarborough.

With a beautifully rugged coastline, mystical Cornwall has England hotels in the country, as do the Cotswolds where stone houses line picturesque villages. The Georgian spa cities of Bath and Harrogate also have impressive stone architecture.

This is just the tip of the iceberg of what England has to offer, but wherever you visit, you can be sure that Booking.com has a fantastic range of apartments, B&Bs and hotels in England to choose from.

We had an amazing stay here. The staff were so kind and accommodating. When an issue with our room couldn't be resolved, they moved us to a better room, to ensure that we had a comfortable stay, which was amazing. The space was beautiful, with stunning views and clean, stylish interiors. There were beautiful walks, tennis courts, games, restaurants, with easy access to St Ives. Would definitely recommend, for the fabulous staff and gorgeous, comfortable spaces.

I love this place. I visit every time I come to the UK. We stayed 2 nights in the decadent suite 23. It’s beautiful. We dined in the English restaurant which was some of the best comfort food I’ve ever eaten, had Thai massages, ole ty if amazing cocktails and then dinner at Bear which was sensational. It’s eccentric, orgasmic and incredibly unique. My favorite hotel in the UK by far.

he Modern Studio Apartments are very conveniently located...

he Modern Studio Apartments are very conveniently located close to both Underground and National Rail stations, making it extremely easy to reach central London in a short amount of time. The surrounding area offers a wide range of local shops, restaurants, and eateries, which makes it easy to enjoy something different each day during your stay. For guests who prefer to eat in, the studios are well equipped with a good range of self-catering facilities and cooking equipment, making it perfectly practical to prepare meals in the room. Initially, I was slightly concerned when I was informed that there is no traditional reception. However, the check-in process and access arrangements were extremely well explained in advance, which made arrival straightforward and stress-free. The property manager is very helpful and obliging, and on the rare occasion that a minor issue arises, they are quick to respond and provide effective support. One point worth noting is that the building contains a variety of room sizes and layouts. I would recommend carefully checking the room size you are booking to ensure it is suitable for your needs and expectations. Overall, these apartments offer a comfortable, well-located, and well-managed base for a stay in London.

Manchester is a brilliant city with so much to offer.

Manchester is a brilliant city with so much to offer. It has a great mix of shopping, restaurants, museums, and family-friendly attractions, and everything is easy to get to. The people are friendly, the atmosphere is lively, and there’s always something to do. It can be busy in the city centre, but that’s part of its charm. Overall, Manchester is a fantastic place to visit, especially for families and first-time visitors.

Once we knew the way to the city centre it was easy and only took around 8-10 mins walk. Plenty of taxis outside New St station. We went to the Alexandra Theatre to see a show which was only around 15-20 mins walk from the Holiday Inn Express. Bullring shopping centre has plenty of choice of a variety of shops and cafes. Visited the Luminate light show at the Botanical Gardens which was lovely. Ate at Bills which was really delicious. Everything is very close by so within half an hour walking you can get to lots of places.

Great location for a city break.

Great location for a city break. We visited with our teenage twins and they enjoyed the exhibition at the Bristol Museum as well as the Suspension Bridge (visit the museum, too). Bristol is a mix of new and old, seems very vibrant and has some great architectural highlights. There is a lot to do and see, so definitely recommend it. Great for foodies, too, with many small independent restaurants and delis. Loved the cathedral, its spectacular.
