Located in Overscaig, in a building dating from 19th century, The Overscaig House Hotel provides a garden and guestrooms with free WiFi. This 3-star hotel offers a terrace. You need to accept the hotel for what it is, a pretty basic lodge in the middle of nowhere. That said the owners have done a lot to make the rooms more comfortable with en suites etc and they really try hard with the breakfast and dinner. I am sure too if we were staying longer they would help with walking, bird watching or fishing expeditions. I am impressed. Not all highland hotels come up to this standard. The road up to Laxford Bridge is also pretty awesome so worth a detour if you are on the route 500

It was a pleasant stay for us, a group of backpackers. The location of the hostel is very good for a weekend trip over the highlands. Our room was a private cabinet located at the rear of the hostel, in the car park. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. Overall stay was good and I strongly recommend this place if you are planning to have a weekend road trip over highlands (Loch ness, Isle of skye and Inverness). It was cheap, clean and comfortable.

A great location on the edge of the city with easy access to the major roads and the airport. Plenty of parking available and only a 15 minute walk into the city centre. We had an executive double room which was very comfortable and spacious. The breakfast options were superb and dinner in the restaurant was also very good. All in all, I would say this is a great place to stay if you are exploring Inverness and the Highlands like we were.

Charming room and bath, spacious and clean. On a lovely quiet road within a 10 minute drive to Fort William, and a 20 minute drive to Glen Coe. Beautiful views of the highlands with blooming gorse and sheep grazing peacefully outside the front door. Factors Inn is the budget cottage 5 minutes from the parent hotel, the beautiful and expensive Interlochy Hotel, so we did not indulge in the $30 breakfast offered there.

Clean, warm and cozy self-catering stay in Fort-William. Nicely equipped apartment: all necessary toiletries, towels, fully equipped kitchen - everything you need. Most importantly friendly and welcoming host, who always helped when in need. Location is great - most notable and beautiful spots are no more than 60minute drive by car, great for having daily hiking trips in different parts of the Highlands.

After a hectic day travelling through the Scottish highlands it was a quiet and peaceful evening at Inchbae Lodge Inn. Our travels were from Inverness and Ullapool where the hotel in Inverness where we stayed was quite noisy. At Inchbae Inn there was nothing but relaxation and the sounds of nature. Really enjoyed our stay even though it was only for one night. Staff was more than helpful and friendly.

This hostel was absolutely amazing! It's located about about a five minute walk away from the bus depot and train station, and it was very homey with an excellent view of the river! Well worth the cost! The staff was also super friendly and always willing to help with anything you might need. They are also very knowledgable about tours of the highlands or just general things to do around town.

After a week walking in the Isle of Skye and driving over the highlands, the hotel was a welcome oasis of comfort. We particularly liked the roomy room and the level of service for dinner and breakfast. Given the style of the building, we felt treated like nobility! Walking the grounds was also a great experience.

The views across the loch are stunning - everything you would want from the Highlands. The hotel is situated on the edge of Fort William which gives town amenities but the seclusion of the country. Great food and bar area.
