The property had very good practical utility — ample parking space, great secluded location surrounded by its own garden, comfortable rooms, well-designed spacious bathrooms. The property also certainly had its own personality - a common lounge space with a cosy fireplace and big leather sofas where we met and chatted with some other guests; a dining room with large windows, as well as another dining room that allowed pet dogs, and very welcoming staff hosting us. Felt like a cosy retreat!

Large rooms, super clean, modern. Needed space to stage my new ski touring setup. Picked this place because the rooms are bigger than other comparables in Aviemore. It was all true! Lots of space to spread out and arrange my gear. Bathroom faucets / sink is deep so could easily accommodate a Nalgene (really annoying when places have cheap setups so you have to fill your water bottle with the cap) Lots of plugs to charge stuff where you need it. 2 x large coffee mugs (can accommodate cereal :) 2 x whisky tumblers 2 x drinking glasses 1 x small fridge with a mini freezer that works (for a mini freezer) Super clean. Very centrally located.

Jen & Simon are the lovely couple who run this hotel, they were kind and inviting & clearly wanting our stay to be good. The building is well maintained the rooms are beautiful with great beds & lovely bedding. Each are upgraded and nice in size with ensuite. The breakfast was good in a beautiful glass enclosed area looking into the private yard. They went out of their way to accomodate us and it was appreciated. There are stairs but Simon happily gave us a hand with the luggage. We enjoyed our time there and would definetly return if in this area again.

Pool and Jacuzzi. The Jacuzzi had a view of the Loch which is great. Comfort room with a small living room and a view of the Loch. A very careful and kind staff. Restaurant meals were good with very good fish and chips and very good mussels (they were huge and good). The cakes ("Abbie's Cake" I think) were very good. Breakfast was good and full. PS: Location to be avoided in the event of a storm, as the venue may be without power (this was the case for us during the Amy storm at the end of the stay). It complicated the meal but the staff did well and the kitchens did too)

The atmosphere / vibe of the Inn, the location, the food, the staff, the amazing bar and restaurant out the back. Bonus - it was adults-only. Local musicians came and played for us on the Sunday night which really made our evening. The room was cozy, warm, the beds were really comfortable, and the views outside when you wake up of the mountains are incredible!

Inverness is a fascinating city with lots going on,. good restaurants and pubs. Places of interest I visited included Inverness Castle and Culloden Battlefield. Places to eat I would recommend Zizzi,s for good value and service. Cant think of any negatives except maybe the number of shuttered shops but that is the same in most provincial towns in Scotland.

I can only comment on the area we visited but were a little disappointed on the high street. Rubbish and unkept in the main street, some shop fronts not well presented, business that have closed etc. (a sign of the times?) Its a tourist hot spot and deserves more.

I loved this little town. Great history with Loch Ness and Urquart Castle. We stayed one night but could have used a little more time. We saw the castle but did not visit and would have liked to take a cruise on the water. We stayed right by the Loch Ness Museum and loved this little area with the shops and restaurant (breakfast/lunch). It's not big so not a whole lot of choices for restaurants. We were there mid March which is still off season so some restaurants were closed and most places closed early (by our standards)

Stayed here because we could no find anywhere in Portree or elsewhere on Isle of Skye. Good location for accessing Isle of Skye. Not much of a town.
