Ben was very helpful at the desk and made sure our sofa bed was made up for us. Thank you. The room was a good size. We had a double bed and a sofa bed, kitchenette and a table with 2 chairs. Room was very quiet. Breakfast was fantastic with lots of choice. Pillows were amazing, where can I buy them from ?

Burton is not a tourist destination - it is an ex-brewing town that has lost most of its historic brewing heritage and now is basically just industrial estates next to the A38, with a terrible traffic system, constant jams as the local authorities have no idea about how to plan their way out of the many problems they have. I grew up there and experience of the town going back nearly 60 years and it has never been somewhere I would recommend to visit unless you wanted to try the local made beer, but now almost all of that has gone, it doesn’t even have that. On the plus side, it no longer stinks of brewing/marmite.

Hotel rooms were clean and comfortable, good value for money. Nice place and friendly staff. However, the car park is full of pot holes and could cause a lot of damage to the car if you are unlucky enough to hit one!

Well mannered, polite people where a village lifestyle - with glamorous touches - is complemented by friendly locals. Christmas is festive Good food, reasonable prices in the heart of the UK midlands; a great base to explore the county and not far from wales.

Everything was great from staff check in /out.

Everything was great from staff check in /out. Rooms were fully equipped. Bathroom clean with towels. A welcome pack of tea / coffee / toilet rolls / milk sachets etc was lovely. The lane leading to the Country club is a one car only with planting of passing bays for oncoming cars . Beautiful grounds and quiet surroundings . My £100 holding fee was cancelled in a day or 2 of leaving . Everything was as we wanted and expected for our stay .

Plenty of National Trust and other "Brown Sign" properties and attractions close to the location. Only ate at the Appleby Inn, and the cafe at Moira Furnace as it was January, so many attractions were not open till the weekend, but all that information was available online when we planned our trip. Have always used Appleby Inn or the Old Posthouse, but would consider using a pet friendly location, if we can find one.

Great option for an overnight stay after attending the Download Festival at Donington Park. Easy key access with a lock box. Everything you need including a fridge full of goodies which were matched to our dietary needs - much appreciated. A massive bed and great area to sit and watch TV if you have time! Great value for money and highly recommended.
