We had an unforgettable stay, feeling like we had our very own personal winery! As the only visitors, we enjoyed exclusive access to the entire mansion, with the charming host, Tamari, appearing just at the right moments to assist us without disrupting our sense of being the "winery owners." As "owners," we experienced the most contemporary winery in Georgia, equipped with the latest technology that's even difficult to import. The 360-degree vineyards surrounding the property added to the charm. Although they don't serve dinners, the spacious dream kitchen was perfect for cooking our own meals. We received a special personal bonus from the owner, which we won't detail here to avoid setting future expectations. It was an unexpected gesture that made our experience even more extraordinary. Sometimes, it's the surprises that money can't buy that make a stay truly memorable. We were fortunate to experience this during our visit. Thank you, Tamari and Zurab!

Our stay at Horizons Bakurtsikhe was nothing short of magical. Tucked away in a serene and scenic location, this place is a true haven for nature lovers. We had the entire property to ourselves, making it feel like a private retreat, hosted by the warm and wonderful Natalie – an exceptional host who made our stay truly special. The cottage was beautifully designed – cozy, comfortable, and thoughtfully laid out. Waking up to the breathtaking view of the mountains and the stunning natural landscape was an experience we’ll never forget. It felt like stepping into a postcard. Dinner at Horizons was absolutely sumptuous, beautifully prepared, and bursting with local flavor. Breakfast was equally impressive, with a generous spread featuring delicious pancakes, shakshuka, and much more. It was a true feast, served with care and hospitality. The amenities added to the charm – a lovely pool and a relaxing sauna made our evenings perfect. We were also joined by two well-behaved, friendly dogs who quietly kept us company, adding to the homely and peaceful atmosphere without ever being intrusive. Horizons Bakurtsikhe is a hidden treasure that offers comfort, tranquility, and hospitality at its finest. Whether you're looking to unwind in nature or just enjoy warm Georgian hospitality in a scenic setting, this is a must-stay spot. We’re already dreaming of coming back!

Awesome place! Wonderful view from the Qvevrebies. What a view on sunrises you must see it! Super comfortable rooms with awesome beds, delicious food in restaurant same as on dinner(you must try all the dishes) and huge variety of delicious food on breakfast. So I highly recommend to make a stay here! Thank you a lot!

I recently stayed at the hotel with my colleague and had a wonderful experience. The host was very friendly and polite, always ready to assist with a smile. The hotel was spotless. Its location was perfect, being close to the center and several supermarkets, pharmacies, etc., making it very convenient for any needs. The view from my window was stunning, offering a beautiful panorama of the surroundings. To top it all off, the breakfast was excellent. We were in Telavi for a field trip and needed to leave the hotel early in the morning, and they agreed to serve breakfast at a time convenient for us. Highly recommended!

Found a great bar, very small but the guy that ran it and...

Found a great bar, very small but the guy that ran it and his wife were amazing, best bar we found in Georgia and probably the smallest and basic but would go there every time. Check out Suphevs Bar if you are in town. Don't be put off by how small it is, the wine and beer he picks himself and he's passionate about it. The town around the castle is nice, the rest is run down, we were recommended to go to Badia restaurant and that was the best choice, lovely meal there, went there on the day we left for coffee and a light bite, enjoyed that too.

We were good with 3 days, Great wineries, good food, and some nice stuff to see. Lost Ridge Brewery is a great micro brewery with good food and great service, The beer is really good and a change up from the wine. The roses at the Bodbe Monastery were in bloom and fantastic.

My stay was perfect!

My stay was perfect! I visited all of the dinning options and each one was terrific. The staff was great and the recreation facilities are amazing. I enjoyed the spa and appointments were easy to make. I spent a lot of time walking around the lake and resort. The scenery is beautiful--especially this time of year. I'm coming back next year to enjoy the outdoor pools and facilities.

One of the best preserved wild natures in the world; a magnificent region for those who love hiking, nature, mountains, etc. You can stay longer and follow a camping route, or you can stay for 3-4 days and do daily nature walks. Or you can just sip your drink and read your book in a peaceful and serene way, alone with nature.

The location is great, the room itself was clean, but there were stuff which I did not like. For example, the door of the balcony was not functioning properly, additionally, the bathroom door handle was partially loose, and the room door itself did not function properly, it required significant effort to close and was not smooth when locking. We were also dissatisfied with the breakfast, as the selection was very limited and the food was not pleasant to eat, so we left without having breakfast. Overall, there were some minor issues, however it was acceptable for a 1–2 night stay, especially since the room was genuinely clean and there were no shortcomings in that regard.

Long ride from tbilisi to get here, but completely worth it. Stunning place! walking among the massive trees and sound of the river made me calmest I've ever felt. Two days wasn't enough time to explore all. Definitely coming back for a longer trip next time!

Telavi is a charming town in the heart of Kakheti, surrounded by beautiful vineyards and breathtaking views of the Caucasus mountains. The town has a relaxing atmosphere and is perfect for walking through its quiet streets. Local wine and traditional Georgian cuisine make the experience especially authentic. The people are warm and welcoming, adding to the sense of true Georgian hospitality. Telavi is also rich in history and culture, with old churches, fortresses, and museums to explore. Fantastic place to stop for 1-2 nights as part of a broader trip. Within the town itself there isn't a lot to do, but the views are impressive and it's a quaint town with a slower pace. Quite a few tourists however.
