SwitzerlandAll meals were delicious and fresh. Staff were friendly, helpful, and super organized. The view of the glacier from the hut was unreal. The hut had lots of windows so you could always look out. It was a pricey trip, but the accommodation was worth the cost, which also included boat transport there and back, meals (dinner, breakfast, lunch), and a moraine hike led by a guide.

Czech RepublicThe breakfasts were excellent, the view of the fjord was fantastic, we also ordered a Greenlandic buffet dinner - a great culinary experience. Overall, we were very satisfied, the staff was helpful and willing.
The communication from the reception before and during our holiday was great. The free transfer from the airport to the hotel and to the harbour when we left for Disko Island was seamless.

The owners picked us up at the ferry terminal. They gave us a money can’t buy experience at their own brewery/distillery which is famous in Greenland. The view from the lounge and even the toilet of our small home they put us in was of icebergs. The owner said she even placed the toilet exactly there for this reason. It was incredible.

Wr had an incredible stay in the chalet cabins. The view is unbeatable and the rooms comfortable and warm. Everything you need, especially loved the sound system to immerse yourself even more into admiring the scenery. The breakfast was excellent and the restaurant delicious.

Great value for money, Saw 2 times whales and didn't have to pay for a whale safari :). Ole is a great host. Due to the nature of this place (remotness and affordable price) you are likely to meet other interesting travellers.

Amazing scenery. Bucket list adventures.
Amazing scenery. Bucket list adventures. Highly recommend for those who seek adventure and love the outdoors. However, if you like picture perfect towns, not for you. Look past that, ilulissat will get there and feel lucky that you get to visit before the rest of the word discovers this little gem. Very expensive for trips and eating out. Highly recommend Hotel Hvide Falk for amazing food and staff and Albatros Arctic for really knowledgeable staff who know how to go the extra mile!!

Some good restaurants, pubs and museums. easy to get to and from airport by bus or taxi (or even walking if you're up for it and have light luggage!--about 5 km) nice scenery around town. Note: there are no roads leading out of this city. It's boat or plane only!!
If you venture further afield in Greenland, note that domestic flights can be cancelled multiple times (my flight was cancelled two days in a row), so give yourself many days on either side of any critical transport bookings (i.e. you don't want to miss your international flight!)

Beautiful, charming town with awesome surroundings, lots of opportunities for hiking and getting to know the people and culture. The old town centre is very pretty and there is also a beautiful beach on the way to airport.

Great place to visit the local history museum and to view Eqi Glacier. Also the ice fyord, unesco protected site.
Also to try some Greenlandic dishes at Inuit cafe Restaurant. This restaurant has been entered into my little book of places worth revisiting!

Beautiful place, easy access to look around on a tour boat, food was good, people were friendly.
Airport was very slow to check people in and get bags checked.
Overall, an excellent experiance with just one full day and 2 nights.

It is likely that during Disco bay icefjiord experience...
It is likely that during Disco bay icefjiord experience you'll see the wales, so a separate trip to watch wales may not be needed. The icefiord remains the most impressive thing to see from a walking distance and also from a boat. Eqi glacier is nice, but less impressive and takes a long time to go there. Icefiord center is an interesting site to visit, as you'll pass the sledge dog keeping site along the way. Do not touch or try to intervene with digs, as this my end lethaly for... them. I found the place terrible for dogs... and any animals in general, as they are kept on chain. However, it is par of the culture and that's something interesting to see.

I travel a lot, but this was the first time I travelled to a play where the only thing to do was mingle with the people. Nuuk is a really small city and I was able to go around the city on the bus. By riding the bus, I got to see a lot of the suburbs of Nuuk and it was easy to move around.
What I was surprised that was the Nuuk Museum, not the cultural center, but the museum down by the water. There was a lot of history packed into that tiny building.
It's a must see if you're headed there.
