It was the first town we stayed in The Gambia, while we were traveling with cars. The hosts were super nice and very very helpful. Staying there was really refreshing! If you want to understand how nice and welcoming Gambian people are, you should definitely book this place.

Abca's Creek Lodge har en restaurang och ligger cirka 85 km från kusten. Boendet har en balkong. I det egna badrummet finns en dusch. Rummen har utsikt över floden och trädgården. We absolutely loved our stay at AbCa's Creek Lodge! The lodge is charming with a variety of different seating areas along the creek. Ansu the guide gave us a great hiking tour, as well as a lovely boat tour through the mangroves, where we saw a variety of birds. Do note that the creek tide ebbs and flows - the creek looks nearly empty in the late afternoon compared to the morning, so time your water activities accordingly. We later went kayaking through the mangroves which was beautiful though we opted to turn around instead of going all the way to the village which meant fighting the current and ebbing tide - a bit of a physical feat but well worth the adventure! The staff was very accommodating, including storing our luggage late and organizing a driver to and from the Lodge (who also kindly stopped at the artisanal market en route). Our wooden stilt room had both a fan and A/C and was quite comfortable (though note the bathroom is private but open to the air, so beware some mosquitoes and spiders). Food options were plentiful and delicious. Absolutely loved relaxing outside watching dozens of monkeys! Highly recommend, this was our favorite part of our visit in The Gambia.

This was my first time staying in a forest hotel and even though the hotel room was a tent, the facilities were very good with air conditioning and washroom. The Safari experience was very good and I took a lot of pictures of birds and wild animals. The staff of the hotel are very warm and polite and provide professional English service. It was a very memorable experience.

Jinack Lodge ligger i Jinack Island och erbjuder boende med utsikt över havet samt en trädgård, en terrass och en bar. Här finns en bowlinghall och som gäst har du även tillgång till en snackbar. First of all Jinack Lodge crew is super super nice. We felt like home. Place is amazing - close to the beach and we listened ocean waves whole night. Food was delicious!

Les Fromagers ligger i Missira, 6,6 km från Fathala viltreservat, och erbjuder boende med en utomhuspool, gratis privat parkering, en trädgård och en gemensam lounge. The hotel is located in a beautiful village next to a lake and the oldest tree in this region (it's very impressive to see). We stayed at les Fromagers because we wanted to visit the Fathala Wild life reserve that is close by. On our arrival we found out that there are so many other activities to do like going fishing, watching crocodiles, visiting the islands etc. The owner of the place are very friendly and helpful. We experienced their great hospitality and felt very comfortable during our stay. I can recommend you also to try out their restaurant, since you get very tasty seafood there, freshly caught by the local fisherman. We will definitely visit again, when we are in Senegal.
