- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 255 reviewsThe hotel was just a 7-minute walk from the main harbor where we arrived from Athens. We got there way too early before check-in, but the staff greeted us warmly and the host went out of their way to find us an available room - something that doesn't happen often. The room was spacious and clean with a walk-in shower and lovely aesthetic touches. We had everything we needed, the area was peaceful with several good restaurants nearby. It was a really great place to stay, and I have only positive memories of our time there.Guest review byPaulinaPoland
- From $124.22 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.8Good - What previous guests thought, 727 reviewsExcelent location, very close from the port ( less than 50.m on a flat way - just a very short walk 1 minute from the landind area tio the hotel door). The room was cosy, very clean (evry day cleaning and changing towels) and it had a large beautiful private terrace with a lot of flowers in large red pots and with a retractable canopy.. The staf was very kind and helpfull - we could let our luggage after we have checked out until we have decided to get the boat back to the mainland.. We will be very happy to return there.Guest review byRemusRomania
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.0Very Good - What previous guests thought, 733 reviewsIt is a family run hotel with very clean rooms. It is off the beaten track and a great spot for those who want a less expensive stay. If you have luggage, then spring for the donkeys! you will be hiking up stairs for about 10 minutes to get here. You have to look down to watch your footing on the path, but if you never stop and look up, it is easy to miss the signs. Make sure you walk the 5 minutes to Kamini Beach (photo) and reserve a table for dinner at Pirofani.Guest review bySusanUnited States
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 105 reviewsThe location was lovely, quiet and remote. The property was picturesque and tidy. We loved the beach area with the sun-beds and umbrellas. The restaurant was really good; the included breakfast was wonderful! The staff were friendly and very helpful, transporting our bags and making reservations for us. The private, complimentary ferry was an amazing perk. I wish we could have booked one of the tours on the larger boat, but we just didn’t have time. Next time!Guest review byKattieUnited States
- From $373.23 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 344 reviewsSuch a quaint hotel. Great location - close to port but still out of the busy area and noise. Very clean and well managed. The daily delivery of water was very nice. The breakfast buffet was wonderful - so much to choose from! The service was exceptional and staff was very friendly - especially Georgia, who was so helpful and made a birthday dinner very special at Castello.Guest review bySarah J.United States

Mandraki was a hidden gem of a place, only a 20-minute walk along the coast from Hydra Town, but away from all the hustle and bustle and with its own little beach and taverna - everything you could possibly need for a deeply relaxing holiday.Guest review byTanyaUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Hydra was very busy when we arrived - then we realised a cruise ship had docked and there were thousands on shore. however, they went as fast as they arrived which was great. The food and drink is generally very well priced but the clothes shops etc are VERY expensive - aimed that cruise ship guests i guess.Guest review byLiamUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Hydra was wonderful and no cars!
Hydra was wonderful and no cars! Get info on all the beaches and boat ferries before you go as it can get expensive. Food was great ,souvenir store were overpriced. We went for 2 nights, 3nights would have been perfect. Book July or September , avoid August by all means, all the locals go on vacation and it gets over crowded . August is also high season and priced almost double. Comfortable foot ware a must. You will love the island. Bought our drinks and sat on the bench one night on the cliff watching the waves and sunset.Guest review bymaria
