You’re within short walking distance to the port and the centre of Hvar town, yet still in a quiet and relaxing area. The view of the church and crystal blue waters are such a treat to wake up to every morning. The decor is very tasteful! We really enjoyed the selection at breakfast too. The staff are very friendly and can’t do enough for you!

The location is unbelievable, very close to Stari Grad but more secluded in nature. Our room had an amazing sea view with a garden terrace. The hotel was very clean and well designed. Mattress amazing too. Had a wonderful sleep.

We actually forgot out passports when we left and had a flight the next day from Dubrovnik and the hotel staff pulled off a miracle trip with a taxi driver to get our passports delivered overnight so we didn't miss our flights, thats the kind of extra service you never forgot. Thanks so much to the staff !

We had a really great experience at Hotel Amfora! The location is perfect, everything was clean and well-maintained, but what impressed us the most was the staff. Everyone was kind and discreet, always ready to help, and we’d especially like to mention waiter Miladin – incredibly friendly, professional, always smiling, and attentive. People like him truly make a difference!
Everything was excellent – from breakfast to the pool – and it’s clear that the staff genuinely care about making guests feel comfortable. The only small downside was a bit of weak sound insulation in the rooms, but that didn’t affect our overall impression at all.
We’d definitely recommend Amfora to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday with a warm, homey atmosphere. We’d love to come back!

Turn Hvar into a SportHotel, bec there is no such one in Hvar island. You really have a lovely facilitations already! There are 4 tenniscourts, nyt only 2 in use. There would ne fantastic place for soccer, beachvolley, healthy food, social sports, group fitness, yoga, silent meditation walks etc.

We really enjoyed hiring a scooter and exploring the surrounding district. Even drove back to Hvar town and went to Napoleon's fort and the Fortica. Had dinner both nights in Jelsa and Vrboska. Delightful.

Beautiful quiet and friendly location. Well worth the extra effort to travel a bit further. Very unspoilt with lots of passing yachts calling in for overnight stops or longer. About a dozen or so places to eat, very friendly people. Pint of lager 3.5 euros. A lovely glass of local white wine 4 euros. Four coffees about 10 euros. Beautiful food, especially if you want fresh fish straight out the sea. 👌😎

Personally, I love the island of Hvar and no stay in this place is long enough for me. Jelsa is a great resort that offers many great restaurants, authentic shops with local products, but especially a rich cultural program. The same applies to the neighboring village of Vrboska. I recommend renting a bicycle for the entire stay and getting to know the beauty of the island in this way - be it natural beaches, old streets or vineyards.

The accommodation is located right by the beach and the locality is quiet with not many tourists. There was everything we needed in the apartment. The terrace was very spacious and overlooked the sea with the beach.
There are wooden shutters to eliminate the sun and mosquito nets in every window. The apartment is very quiet at night due to the tight windows and shutters. The kitchen is well-equipped with a spacious dining table and a large sitting room. One of the bedrooms has a door leading to the terrace with a sea view, which was amazing.
We enjoyed sitting on the large terrace on comfortable sunbeds, which I think is the best part of the apartment.
The owners provided us with beach towels and beach mats.
There is a small bakery right behind the house with fresh pastry and bread, and a grocery store 500m far from the house. There is a lovely restaurant by the beach with nice food, and another one just a 15-minute walk from the apartment, Skalinada restaurant, with amazing views and a great menu of fish and seafood.

It’s very calm a tranquil compared to the city of Hvar. But you still have some restaurants to choose from, a local baker, an ice cream stand and a mini market.
The main beach is beautiful and you even have several other beaches in walking distance.

Idyllic, a bit remote. Not too many people there even in the main season, beautiful beaches! Has a bakery (open 7-10 am) and someone who sells local products next to it, next mini market is in Ivan Dolac. Also a great starting location for hiking or biking up to Sveti Nikola (there even is a nice via ferrata and a place for climbing). On gravel roads aside of the main rodes I'd recommend a SUV or a mountainbike!

It's very remote and quiet. We loved it. The hotel picked us up from Hvar Port (at a cost) and drove us back - thankfully. Food was amazing. Beginning of the season so staff were still new. They just need to offer a few activities like a boat trip or something. Otherwise quite lovely.

Nice place for families woth small children.
Nice place for families woth small children. Small village, mostly tourist houses. Nice beach, everything walking distance. Very quiet, only one restaurant, one shop (a bit to small, to get everything one would need) and few bars. I suggest you try the local vine, sold next to the supermarket. At the end of August the is a fishermen festival, where you can taste fish and other sea food.
ATTENTION: The road from Jelsa to Ivan Dolac is very narrow and curvy, some sections are a bit unpleasant. It didn't bother us, but if you are not used to drive on such roads, then it might be very stressful for you (you will need to take the road it least a few times, since there is only a small shop and one reastaurant in Ivan Dolac, for the rest you need to go to Jelsa or elsewhere). Furthermore, there is a narrow and low tunnel on the road, which is impossible to drive though with a van.

Very few houses around.
Very few houses around. No amenities like grocery stores or supermarkets, you have to drive 45 mins. 2 places to choose from the eat otherwise you would need to drive 45mins/1hour away. But extremely peaceful and quiet and great place to unwind by the sea.
