The location is unbelievable, very close to Stari Grad but more secluded in nature. Our room had an amazing sea view with a garden terrace. The hotel was very clean and well designed. The food served at the restaurant was excellent and well priced with big portions. The amenities of the spa were very good.

CanadaFirst off we were upgraded to the nicest room in the hotel! The staff were always helpful and as it turned out we had to stay an extra day because of weather which cancelled the fery service. The hotel staff even called our planned hotel for the next two nights and got us a refund which we were not eligible for. Excellent room, view, facility, and great breakfast, and a wonderful staff that really went out of their way for us!!

We actually forgot out passports when we left and had a flight the next day from Dubrovnik and the hotel staff pulled off a miracle trip with a taxi driver to get our passports delivered overnight so we didn't miss our flights, thats the kind of extra service you never forgot. Thanks so much to the staff !

We had the most incredible time at this beautiful eco resort. Our sincere gratitude goes out to the dedicated staff and owners for curating such a remarkable haven that flawlessly harmonizes relaxation with nature. We loved learning about the touching story of how Cast Away came to be. The passion and dedication that went into creating this oasis are truly heartwarming.
There is a nice a spacious kitchen, outfitted with all the culinary tools you might need, and a dishwasher. The sleeping mattress was comfy and the views are amazing. The crystalline sea and immaculate beaches exceeded all expectations. Our heartfelt thanks to the entire team at Cast Away for providing us with a truly unforgettable retreat. Amazing people are working there! Everyone was supper nice. Room was amazing with beautiful view. Clean and tidy. Breakfast were included and it was tasty, I noticed there are great variety of food you can chose for breakfast. Location is great as well 10 min till town center. Only issues it is when you are walking towards to hotel you are walking bit up hill, but with a great view. Nice bonus is restaurant for lunch and dinner in the hotel was chipper than places in the city center (still tasty) which was very convenient if you don’t want to go to the center and stay by the pool.

Turn Hvar into a SportHotel, bec there is no such one in Hvar island. You really have a lovely facilitations already! There are 4 tenniscourts, nyt only 2 in use. There would ne fantastic place for soccer, beachvolley, healthy food, social sports, group fitness, yoga, silent meditation walks etc.

We enjoyed our 1 week stay, it is a great hotel with amazing pool facilities, services and a great view. The breakfast is also very offering and varied. It was great that someone from the staff greated us at the ferry port and took our luggage to the hotel.

We really enjoyed hiring a scooter and exploring the surrounding district. Even drove back to Hvar town and went to Napoleon's fort and the Fortica. Had dinner both nights in Jelsa and Vrboska. Delightful.

Beautiful quiet and friendly location.
Beautiful quiet and friendly location. Well worth the extra effort to travel a bit further. Very unspoilt with lots of passing yachts calling in for overnight stops or longer. About a dozen or so places to eat, very friendly people. Pint of lager 3.5 euros. A lovely glass of local white wine 4 euros. Four coffees about 10 euros. Beautiful food, especially if you want fresh fish straight out the sea. 👌😎

Personally, I love the island of Hvar and no stay in this place is long enough for me. Jelsa is a great resort that offers many great restaurants, authentic shops with local products, but especially a rich cultural program. The same applies to the neighboring village of Vrboska. I recommend renting a bicycle for the entire stay and getting to know the beauty of the island in this way - be it natural beaches, old streets or vineyards.

The accommodation is located right by the beach and the locality is quiet with not many tourists. There was everything we needed in the apartment. The terrace was very spacious and overlooked the sea with the beach.
There are wooden shutters to eliminate the sun and mosquito nets in every window. The apartment is very quiet at night due to the tight windows and shutters. The kitchen is well-equipped with a spacious dining table and a large sitting room. One of the bedrooms has a door leading to the terrace with a sea view, which was amazing.
We enjoyed sitting on the large terrace on comfortable sunbeds, which I think is the best part of the apartment.
The owners provided us with beach towels and beach mats.
There is a small bakery right behind the house with fresh pastry and bread, and a grocery store 500m far from the house. There is a lovely restaurant by the beach with nice food, and another one just a 15-minute walk from the apartment, Skalinada restaurant, with amazing views and a great menu of fish and seafood.

It’s very calm a tranquil compared to the city of Hvar. But you still have some restaurants to choose from, a local baker, an ice cream stand and a mini market.
The main beach is beautiful and you even have several other beaches in walking distance.

Idyllic, a bit remote. Not too many people there even in the main season, beautiful beaches! Has a bakery (open 7-10 am) and someone who sells local products next to it, next mini market is in Ivan Dolac. Also a great starting location for hiking or biking up to Sveti Nikola (there even is a nice via ferrata and a place for climbing). On gravel roads aside of the main rodes I'd recommend a SUV or a mountainbike!

It's very remote and quiet. We loved it. The hotel picked us up from Hvar Port (at a cost) and drove us back - thankfully. Food was amazing. Beginning of the season so staff were still new. They just need to offer a few activities like a boat trip or something. Otherwise quite lovely.

Nice place for families woth small children.
Nice place for families woth small children. Small village, mostly tourist houses. Nice beach, everything walking distance. Very quiet, only one restaurant, one shop (a bit to small, to get everything one would need) and few bars. I suggest you try the local vine, sold next to the supermarket. At the end of August the is a fishermen festival, where you can taste fish and other sea food.
ATTENTION: The road from Jelsa to Ivan Dolac is very narrow and curvy, some sections are a bit unpleasant. It didn't bother us, but if you are not used to drive on such roads, then it might be very stressful for you (you will need to take the road it least a few times, since there is only a small shop and one reastaurant in Ivan Dolac, for the rest you need to go to Jelsa or elsewhere). Furthermore, there is a narrow and low tunnel on the road, which is impossible to drive though with a van.

Very few houses around.
Very few houses around. No amenities like grocery stores or supermarkets, you have to drive 45 mins. 2 places to choose from the eat otherwise you would need to drive 45mins/1hour away. But extremely peaceful and quiet and great place to unwind by the sea.
