10/10 The staff is super friendly. Especially Raymond and Roden. Thank you guys for all informations. The location is good. Only 8 min walk to the beach. Parking is good. Wifi is good. Room is very clean with a perfect view on the sea. Breakfast is good. Can't say nothing negative about the accomodation. The only thing I will recommend is to push for dinner at the check in. As the competition is very strong, offer us some good discount and for sure the we will take it.

It was a beautiful vacation. The room corresponds to the one we booked. Check in and parking were without problems and free of charge. The room was very comfortable with a beautiful view of the sea, the beds were comfortable. There was silence in the room. The pool with sunbeds was clean. I appreciate the variety of the breakfast. The restaurant was pleasant and we enjoyed going here for dinners. I would like to praise the very friendly head waiter Zoran. Such a professional is rarely seen anywhere. The other staff were always pleasant as well. The beach is right in front of the hotel with a gentle entry into the water. The price in this hotel more or less corresponds to the premium location.

It was a super nice and tastefully decorated hotel. They have very few rooms so it felt private and special (not the feeling of a big chain hotel). The hotel has a very good restaurants (even a Michelin star one). The food was amazing … best breakfast ever!

I booked a 6 night stay for me and 3 friends, and the stay was extremely pleasant. The staff was wonderful, the breakfast had a wide range of varieties, the room was very clean and also the pool was clean. The Wi-Fi signal is good and the beds very comfortable. The location is very central, a 5-6 minute walk to restaurants. The uber service fee is around 8-10 euros to go to the nearby beaches. The booking was beyond my expectations.

Villa Olea in Šimuni is a secret escape for those, who want to enjoy the great beach (walking less than 1 minute to the beach), have no worries about parking (included and for free) and have a great local restaurant attached. We were skeptical of the rooms would echo back noise from the restaurant, but the windows are great sound proofed and the overall Ambiente in the house and restaurant is very calm. The greatest aspect for us, was the friendly staff and the generous breakfast! Having a pool to jump into, after a nice day at the beach was another highlight. The rooms are very clean, and get cleaned and cleaned quipped everyday while you are at the breakfast. As the hotel only has a small number of rooms, it feels personal but still provides you professional service. Was not relevant to us; but be aware that the camping area of Šimuni Camping charges day entrance if you want to use their facilities or jetski-rentals. We will definitely come back, and enjoyed every minute of our stay!

Novalja is amazing.

Novalja is amazing. Sure, it’s full of people in the high season since the famous Zrce Beach is nearby, but I’ll definitely come back next year. Not just for the beautiful sea and beaches, but also because we never had a chance to be bored.

Povljana is growing too fast.

Povljana is growing too fast. The rapid construction of unsightly apartment buildings threatens the original charm of this peaceful coastal village and slowly pushes it toward the fate of overcrowded resorts like Makarska. For now, the situation is still bearable – but it feels like a tipping point is approaching. One can only hope that local authorities and residents will act before the soul of the place is lost for good.

The owner was very kind and accommodating. The location was a peaceful and convenient place to stay. We ate at the public beach area which we walked to in under 10 minutes. We walked around the marina after dinner and that was a lovely family walk. Would recommend to others.

It’s a fairly remote village, but it’s full of life and...

It’s a fairly remote village, but it’s full of life and really gorgeous. There is a little market where you can buy mostly vegetables, some olive oil stands, but the nearest shop is a 20 min drive away. The olive gardens are really beautiful, you can find nice spots along the trail!

Good: - beautiful beaches in the area - several markets, no need to travel anywhere during the stay - beautiful walking/running trail called 'Life on Mars'. Not good: - near Slana bay there was a concentration camp in the past which is not commemorated in a good way; one have to find the info by their own - I think most of the people are not aware in what kind of area they spend vacation.

The location is fabulous.

The location is fabulous. The sea is clean and full with sea life. There are at least 3-4 restaurants in Mandre, two grocery shops and 2-3 bakeries. There is a cheese shop about 3 km away in Kolan, that has a lot of tasty local specialties.

The location is wonderfully peaceful, yet offers plenty of restaurants, a shop, and everything you might need for a comfortable holiday. The highlight is without a doubt the large pebble beach with its crystal-clear sea – truly exceptional. Šimuni also has a charming harbor with several restaurants, and it even offers the possibility to swim there if the waves at the main beach are too strong. Having explored the entire island, I can say that this is one of the most beautiful spots for anyone seeking peace and relaxation.

Novalja peaks during summer for the festival season, with Zrce Beach nearby. However, it's a cute small town with its own little charm, I would definitely come at a less busy time (that being said, even during festival season it didn't feel crowded at all), and do some driving to nearby spots on the island. Driving is definitely preferred in Croatia in general (just be aware of limited parking and teeny two way streets), but you can arrive by bus to Novalja too.

Small and quiet town, a few beaches, free parking lot, local supermarket, there are restaurants with good regional food. It is good place to start trips around the island Pag or go to Zadar or Sibenik. Very nice place for families with children.
