Everything was wonderful. The hotel is modern, extremely clean and well presented. The views from the hotel were breathtaking, especially the sunsets. All the staff were so friendly and helpful Damien, the manager, was a true gem, and the lady owner, whose name l didn't catch, was absolutely gorgeous. Our bed was very comfortable, and the extra pillows that we were given helped us sleep very well as we both had chest infections. The breakfasts were extremely good, with a great variety for all tastes. We enjoyed our stay very much. The Island of Pag was incredibly beautiful in its ruggedness and desolate landscape STUNNING!!

What a fantastic stay at Joel! It’s the shoulder season, so not busy which just made it better. Very modern, spotless clean and the nicest staff you could hope for. Made to order breakfast everyday (buffet when it’s high season) and cocktails by the best pool in Novalja. It was an incredible surprise to find out Dejan Lovren is the owner and he was there the whole time…for any Liverpool supporter, it makes the visit just that much better.

Our stay at the hotel exceeded all expectations! We would especially like to highlight the animator Hugo, who truly brightened our holiday with his energy, enthusiasm, and genuine approach. Our daughter couldn’t wait for the mini disco every evening, which Hugo organized perfectly. We are currently staying at another hotel and can clearly see there is no comparison. We loved the location, the hotel bar by the beach, the hotel restaurant and the staff. We tried other restaurants outside the hotel but ours was the best regarding the quality and also the price, Seafood platter for two is the best choice. Very calm beach, it’s ideal to relax, don’t forget to bring your favorite book with you! Pool was also wonderful, the quality of the water very nice plus the view is excellent. Thanks for everything!

I had a very pleasant stay at Hotrl Belvder on tth islan of Pag. The biggest advantage is definitely the proximity to the beach- just a few steps away wich makes it perfect for relaxing without need for transportation.

Novalja is amazing.

Novalja is amazing. Sure, it’s full of people in the high season since the famous Zrce Beach is nearby, but I’ll definitely come back next year. Not just for the beautiful sea and beaches, but also because we never had a chance to be bored.

The owner was very kind and accommodating.

The owner was very kind and accommodating. The location was a peaceful and convenient place to stay. We ate at the public beach area which we walked to in under 10 minutes. We walked around the marina after dinner and that was a lovely family walk. Would recommend to others.

Povljana is growing too fast.

Povljana is growing too fast. The rapid construction of unsightly apartment buildings threatens the original charm of this peaceful coastal village and slowly pushes it toward the fate of overcrowded resorts like Makarska. For now, the situation is still bearable – but it feels like a tipping point is approaching. One can only hope that local authorities and residents will act before the soul of the place is lost for good.

It’s a fairly remote village, but it’s full of life and...

It’s a fairly remote village, but it’s full of life and really gorgeous. There is a little market where you can buy mostly vegetables, some olive oil stands, but the nearest shop is a 20 min drive away. The olive gardens are really beautiful, you can find nice spots along the trail!

Good: - beautiful beaches in the area

Good: - beautiful beaches in the area - several markets, no need to travel anywhere during the stay - beautiful walking/running trail called 'Life on Mars'. Not good: - near Slana bay there was a concentration camp in the past which is not commemorated in a good way; one have to find the info by their own - I think most of the people are not aware in what kind of area they spend vacation.

Beautiful view, very friendly owners who took us on a boat trip, cosy and clean villa is equipped with all the stuff you need e.g. washing machine, dishwasher, table tennis, nicely decorated. Highly recommended.

Location is excelent.

Location is excelent. The beach is really sandy, ideal for kids, there is shallow water, so you can play with the kids 30 meters in the sea and you are still standing. The people taking care aboput this appartments are one family and they are running as really family bussines. The managert is young person and he is trying his best. Some experiences are missing but he is replacing that by the effort of his and his family. I stayed for one week and during that i did not hear - "it is not possible or NO".

This is a quiet place very good for families with kids.

This is a quiet place very good for families with kids. There are not that many restaurants around. There is a bakery and a small grocery shop. Most of the beaches are for the accommodated guests but there is also one large beach Planjka at the entrance to the village. There are very nice beaches available within 15mins by car - Plaza Jadra and Cista Plaza.

The location is wonderfully peaceful, yet offers plenty of restaurants, a shop, and everything you might need for a comfortable holiday. The highlight is without a doubt the large pebble beach with its crystal-clear sea – truly exceptional. Šimuni also has a charming harbor with several restaurants, and it even offers the possibility to swim there if the waves at the main beach are too strong. Having explored the entire island, I can say that this is one of the most beautiful spots for anyone seeking peace and relaxation.

Novalja peaks during summer for the festival season, with...

Novalja peaks during summer for the festival season, with Zrce Beach nearby. However, it's a cute small town with its own little charm, I would definitely come at a less busy time (that being said, even during festival season it didn't feel crowded at all), and do some driving to nearby spots on the island. Driving is definitely preferred in Croatia in general (just be aware of limited parking and teeny two way streets), but you can arrive by bus to Novalja too.
