A little outside the populated area, which was an advantage for me because there was no noise around. peace and quiet. The parking lot is huge and free. Very nice location close to the old city center in Gyor. River flows quietly just behind the hotel with nice quiet views and a relaxed atmosphere. Room was very clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. An app was also available for checkin/checkout and also for easy access into the room (and the hotel during the night) directly from the app, which was very handy.

The very old fashioned look and feel of the hotel. It was easy to find, check-in seamless, friendly young man helped us. The breakfast was lovely-they had the most divine chocolate cake-FOR BREAKFAST!As well as lots of other unique items to tempt us. The pool/spa/sauna was amazing!!!!

Ráb is very nice town with beautiful streets and old buildings. There are a good possibility to buy anything in Spar and Lidl if you want to go shopping. There are also a lot of restaurants for pizza and places for ice cream. The river and bridges are nice at night. It could be rent a electric schooter or bike and go through whole town.

This is the only hotel in the area which we have been booking for the last 4 years and they never failed to provide excellent service and make our stay amazing. There is everything you need and way more. The gardens are amazing, the kids room is such a thoughtful touch and the breakfast is absolutely fantastic. Rooms are perfect size, beds are comfortable, very clean with all facilities you need for a pleasant stay. Front desk service is 24/7 and excellent. I would happily recommend and will keep coming every time we are on the road.

We didn't explore Hegyeshalom much but it has all the services needed for a border town. You can get fuel, food, coffee, highway vignettes, and change currency.
Sometimes there is a long wait to cross the border on the main highway, but there is another option along highway 1. Stopping in Hegyeshalom gives the chance to see both options so you can choose the better one.

Lovely pleasant walkable town with a real "local" feel to it. Plenty of historical houses, mainly 17th and 18th century plus a few older ones. Nicely, lovely atmosphere in the bars and restaurants, not brash but plenty of locals enjoying themselves, Good selection of coffee bars as well. Great base for a 3 or 4 night stay with good access to both Vienna (1.15 hours and Budapest 1hour) by high speed train. Budapest is also just over 1 hour drive.

The town is nicely situated near Szigetkoz, which is the island in the Danube with excellent nature, pleasant for hiking, riding the bicycle or canoe trip. The town center is small but picturesque, with the Leitha river running through. It also has a small castle with some university buildings. Special attractions are the Flexum thermal bath and spa facility.
Although all this should be a great potential to the turism, there is no evidence of much effort to promote it. In the Tourist office, there is literally just one multilingual sort of tourist guide to the region. Others are mostly in hungarian, with no relations to the more information for e.g. renting the bicycles or kanoos. Tourist office could only offer us one telephone number of the local store who also rents bikes. The internet presentation of one of the local providers about canoe tours is almost useless and outdated. The second one is only in hungarian.
The restorans close at 9:30 PM and the only bar in Centrum is open only from Thursday to Sunday.
The Flexum thermal bath is nice but the service is mostly unfriendly, apart from the lack of foreign languages. You could book an entrance ticket and later realise that one of the pools is closed for "one, two or maybe three days", without any prior information and no excuse or refund. Some pools are dirty, with mold on the bottom. Some parts of the Flexum are newly decorated but others are old and outdated. It looks as if it is in a continuous renovation.

We were visiting for a sporting competition south of Bratislava. Not much in area, only good for brief stop over, would say to other travellers.Cannot empathise enough how unclean shower and toilet were and no willingness to rectify it

Very nice and cozy hotel.
Very nice and cozy hotel. The woman greeted us with a smile, even though we arrived after 10 pm. The rooms were very clean and it was warm. In the morning she had made a big effort with breakfast and even made us extra scrambled eggs. I recommend!

This is a rather simple place to stay, but it is exactly what they position themselves for. You should not expect a fancy place from a motel, but it is a good place to stay if you are on the road and need to have a rest.
Pros: parking and late check-in. Really helpful and nice.
Cons: it is pretty hard to find the entrance, there is no breakfast (can understand that in a Motel, but the nearby restaurant can only serve breakfast after 11AM) and the non-personal toilet (the shower is in the room though).
To summarise: a good and convenient place to stay if you are not expecting a lot and can tolerate some personal inconveniences.
