"This was a superb value trip. Perfect location, nice staff, very clean apartment with a small kitchenette. I loved it. Breakfast was great too. Lastminute booking and latecheckin was all good. Right next to bath and they stored my backpack for free until I enjoyed the thermal and sauna next door."

"4-5 days was sufficient. We used the city as a base to travel to Sopron (train travel is free for pensioners). In the city there were places to visit showing the history of the town and a lovely lake about 30 minutes (walk) to the northwest of the city centre."

"Kőszeg is a nice, tiny town at the Austro-Hungarian border. There are beautifully renovated houses from the 17-18. century in downtown and, of course, the Fortress. The churches are also beautiful. The main one at Fő tér is under reconstruction.
Locals are friendly and helpful. I owe many thanks to one of them (Barbara, from the Hair and Beauty Salon near Tesco and Penny Markt) who helped me find a new accomodation after I had realized the one I booked was out of question."

CroatiaThe staff at the reception was very helpful and friendly, polite and efficient and the cleaning ladies helped me when my boy of two years was sick, so you really feel welcome and treated like a guest.
Receptionists speak bout German and English and some of the staff at the restaurant also.
The food was great the whole day from breakfast till dinner, the quality is high and variety of choice is huge.
Just in the near of the hotel you can find the free parking zone, and the staff allowed us to park in front of the doors to take out our luggage.
Family spa is little paradise for children and the saunas are just 7 € per day, which is honestly pretty cheap.
Location is perfect bout from Vienna and Zagreb, one and half and 2 and half hours and I think they should really invest in marketing for Croatian guests also ! I can only recommend the hotel!

The room was comfortable and inviting, the spa area small but refined, with beautifully guided sauna infusions. The atmosphere throughout the hotel is calm and quiet, perfect for unwinding.
Breakfast was with additional à-la-carte options alongside the buffet. The reception team was extremely friendly, and at dinner it was possible to choose not only the daily menu but also dishes from the regular menu.
A peaceful retreat with a high standard of service – we would gladly return.

The bed was firm and comfortable, the rooms are big enough to give you still a cosy feeling. The breakfast is tasty with good food variety. The only improvement point I see is the missing air conditioning - this might cerate a heavier weight and cause some negative reviews during the hot summer months... For now, in spring, the temperature was perfect without airco, of course.

It is not new but very cozy and tasty. Service is settled well. Very clean, staff is welcomed, 3 pools with different waters, incl. +36 were super. Very pleased to stay.

With the range of spas, swimming pools, and countryside...
With the range of spas, swimming pools, and countryside walks, this place is ideal for a period of resting and relaxing. The pace of life is slow and the area is quiet, although there are plenty of things to keep the kids occupied and having fun. There is a noise curfew after 10pm which helps to give that over all feeling of restfulness. Everything is within walking distance. Buses will take you further afield.

It is a nice town.
It is a nice town. We are planning on going back for the festival. There are other things to see. The Izsum was very interesting along with the museum falu. There are some nice paths to walk along the stream that runs through town. There are some long bike paths available. It is big enough to spend a long weekend but small enough to walk about everywhere. It is easy to get there by train.

The old town is pretty, but very small: one can walk around...
The old town is pretty, but very small: one can walk around it in little more than half an hour.
There are a couple of old churches, very pretty inside but under heavy restauration (scaffolding) outside. A 17th Century Jesuit pharmacy is preserved as a diverting little museum, but the main town museum is closed - apparently indefinitely (?).
The castle is worth visiting but large parts of the exhibition were also closed, for no apparent reason. Still, there is a very interesting small exhibition on the Hungarian Crown and its regalia, and how they were saved from the Fascists and smuggled out of Hungary during 1944-45. The archive film footage of the Royal Crown Guards from the same period is fascinating.
Perhaps the most interesting sight in the town is the former synagogue, architecturally quite unusual in design, built in 1858-59, left derelict after the entire Jewish community was deported in 1944, finally restored in 2021 and now resplendent in its pristine beauty with the original decoration clear to see.

Nice town with great spa.
Nice town with great spa. Aside from spa there is a really nice park with ponds, playgrounds, outdoor "gym" a bicycle path. The centre of the city is nice too and there is castle you can visit.

It is perfect for people fond of touring in the hills and...
It is perfect for people fond of touring in the hills and woods, many interesting sights to see. Kőszeg also has famous Jurisich Fortress worth of seeing and learning about its history. It is also quite close to some other places to see, so you have quite a choice of possible routes to take.
Kőszeg also has very interesting architecture, very many old houses included in national heritage, even our accomodation was in one of those.
Last but not least, they have quite a few excellent restaurants to have a meal or drink at.
Worth to visit, highly recommended.

Perfect spa, but we just learned there is a lot of other things to do. Rope park for kids, garden with around-the-world threes to walk, a lake with paddle boards ... these all were reasons to prolong our stay.

Buk is a quiet place in the lap of nature and its endless green fields. There was a pub called Kes Pub where we went for lunch, and it served excellent fast food, which was very American style. There were shopping markets near the resort which is quite convenient.
