We had a great experience staying in Pearl Sunset Resort. Excellent and clean facilities and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay as relaxing as possible. Delicious breakfast and many options for lunch and dinner! We can but recommend the place and we hope to come back soon!

The hotel is very well located, near all good restaurants in Kuta. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious with many options on the menu. We stayed in room 709 which was a little secluded from the pool's noise and the Mosque. The room is very spacious. The bathroom is really big, it looks like a living room. The pool area is nice and relaxing. Very well maintained. The upstairs pool is very good!

Hotel Lumi was a dream! It was the absolute perfect location on Gili Trawangan. The staff was so nice and worked with us when we had a last minute change of our dates. The property was spectacular! It was the perfect location on Gili T as it was away from the main down town but still able to ride bikes to get to downtown. It was our honeymoon and they put the most spectacular flowers on our bed to surprise us!

Exceptionally great place. Hidden oasis within the centre of Gili Air. We stayed at the KOHO Air twice now for around 8 nights and it’s always been a wonderful stay. Beautiful hotel, very clean and great staff. We will definitely be back for a third time :-)

Brand new property in the heart of Gili T, near almost everthing but yet so serene. the harbour, cafes & bars with just 5-10 minutes walk. Bedroom was super clean, comfortable, and smells really good even in the bathroom. Breakfast was good and they served it to my room every morning. The staff was super nice, always asked if I need anything and they always willing to help. Looking forward to stay here again next time I’ll visit Gili T.

Indonesia's Laid-back Lombok

A great alternative to busy Bali is lazy Lombok, a more authentic representation for tourists who wish to explore one of Indonesia’s more than 17,000 islands. It is separated from its naughty neighbor by the Lombok Strait to the east and from Sumbawa by the Alas Strait to the west.

Lombok is a typical island paradise of paddy fields, pristine beaches, jungle escapes and mountain retreats. It is largely inhabited by the local Sasak people with a small percentage of Balinese settlers.

Many hotels on Booking.com are centred around the capital of Mataram and the beaches stretching along the north-eastern coastline, including the sweeping bays of Senggigi. Medana Bay is another great northern location for people wanting to visit the nearby Gili Islands, a wonderful snorkeling location and nightlife choice.

Escape the tropical heat in the mountains surrounding Gunung Rinjani, an active volcano where tourists can break in their newly acquired trekking shoes. Other adventures abound on the southern surf beaches of Lombok.

Lombok International Airport is located 33 km south-west from Mataram and services daily flights mainly from Jakarta and Bali. This round-shaped island is approximately 80 km in both directions and offers plenty of variety for a great holiday.

Excellent villa with amazing views across Teluk Aan - amazing sea colours. 10 mins walk to Gerupuk village (or 5 mins scooter) for surfing trips which were excellent to a variety of locations in the bay and suitable for range of skills. Short drive to Kuta Lombok (15 mins) for dinner / more tourist activities - roads are empty and good due to the Moto GP circuit being built nearby - big contrast to Bali! Only about 30 mins from the airport. Villa has 4 double bedrooms, beautiful pool and terrace and open plan living area. We ate in the villa 2 nights - staff cook a great barbecue - the local lobster was outstanding definitely request this! Breakfast also very good - cooked whatever requested. Staff super friendly arranged car, boat trips etc and always on hand to help out.

Great location just south of all the busy bars and restaurants. Still calm and peaceful when you return. Hotel rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic with great options including pastries. The snorkelling stand outside the hotel are great. Friendly team and gave us a great trip. private boat trip over to the coral reef. Then a guided tour with “the turtle man”. Who pointed out loads of turtles. He also took some fantastic pictures of us swimming with them. Highlight of our trip.

Well if carlesberg done hotels... It's here absolutely fantastic.. Well wotth paying the extra for your own pool villas they are outstanding value. You feel like a celebrity the staff are beyond belief nothing is too much trouble. . The food is excellent as us breakfast with a good choice. That you can have right on the beach watching the waves and turtles popping up. And the whole place is just amazing.. Would definatly recommend and if I'm ever in Lombok again its a no Brainerdr....

Fantastic location with the resort restaurant right on the beach. We had breakfast with beach and ocean view almost all to ourselves, and had dinner there to see sun set right on the beach. The bay the hotel/restaurant is beautiful, clean and not very crowded. These are rare in Indonesia. The property is spread across 9 hectares of land with still a lot of natural beauty and rice paddies in the surrounding.

Loved buzzing around the island in e-bikes which makes everything accessible and easy. Ijo dinner, Cocana sunset cocktails and Banyan Tree breakfast are exceptional! Day trip to BASK on Gili Meno (5 min boat) for pool, snorkeling to underwater statues, lunch, sunset cocktails, dinner is an absolute MUST!!

The city itself is nice, full of cafes, restaurants and cute stores. You’ll definitely find a good place to eat Perfect to rent a scooter as a “beginner”, since the island is not so full and traffic is pretty chill! Would recommend renting a scooter and driving east and west and stop at all the beaches. You can find surfing there and many places to eat. 100% recommend if you’re keen on exploring and driving around and if you’re looking for something more relaxing than Bali

I went out of season, so was quieter. Loved the relaxed atmosphere. It's a very chilled place with a nice slow place. There are plenty of things to find and do, from swimming, horse riding, silver smithing and cooking. But there are also lots of beach cafes to relax and watch the sunset. I found some excellent places to eat and drink. The people are lovely. Unfortuntely I required the medical centre and Nusa Medical were amazing. I also required an emergency boat to the hospital on Lombok - the agents at the port were amazing in finding me a private boat and door to door transfer. I will be going back again next year.

Stayed at tne katamaran hotel, stunning hotel with great food and provided a restful quiet break in stunning surroundings. Both restaurants on site provided great food. The spa was also gorgeous. The entire stay was heavenly! Alu at tne senggigi ferry port organised an amazing day snorkelling at three of the Gili islands. Paradise!

I love my scuba, for me Meno is the perfect place!

I love my scuba, for me Meno is the perfect place! Great dive sites, beautiful corals, full of life and colours, good for advanced or open water divers. For non divers can also be perfect, easy snorkeling, no cars or motorbikes, only walk (2 hours around the island) or push bikes. No big shops, very quite, but it's great to stay on the island, enjoy the water and the quite, for shopping Gili T is only 15 mins boat ride, but without the noise.

Selong belanak is a charming location with friendly locals and great food! Main beach Munah is buzzing with people holidaying and learning to surf With Warungs along the beach you can grab a board or a cold Bintang and enjoy the water Homestays are the way to go but there are also Also beachfront restaurants and resort style places. Beautiful surrounding areas and still quite enough to enjoy local farming I hope it stays this way and foreign resorts do not take over.

The local family who manage Green Haven Homestay are so...

The local family who manage Green Haven Homestay are so welcoming and friendly. They will do almost anything to cater for travellers, for example I am 68 and wouldn’t have been able to do the 6 km walking tour up and down hills and uneven surfaces so they organised a motorbike tour which was great. The tour of the villages was also good and very interesting and informative to see the local market, pottery being made, textile weaving and bamboo weaving. There was a good variety of food and the family dinner was wonderful, so much delicious local food. The accommodation was suitable in a peaceful environment. I really enjoyed my stay.

Strawberry picked was fun.

Strawberry picked was fun. Look at google maps to find places with at least 5 good reviews to find somewhere to go. Hiking Pergasagan Hill and spending the night was amazing! Only thing to note though is that there are a lot of mosques here and they are VERY loud. We didn't get much sleep during our stay.

Was exhausted after Mt.

Was exhausted after Mt. Rinjani climb and this impacted on my exploration of the wider area, which I would've liked to have done more of. Also despite being officially the 'dry season', the weather was often overcast and rainy. I think had things been slightly different and I had had more time, the experience would have been better.. But still a lovely place that has less tourists than other parts of Indonesia.

I found the island to be dirty with rubbish dumped everywhere especially in the back streets. Access roads are uneven and can be hazardous. The island is not looked after and suffers from overuse even in the low season. If wanting to dive or snorkel, the boats used by the locals seem to lack maintenance or any safety equipment. Some of the skippers skills leave you wondering. The fast ferry rides out to the island can be 3 hrs or more and are an experience on their own in unfavourable weather conditions. Food is plentiful on the island but nothing to rave about. It's an okay place to chill but many better options available if looking for an island vacay.
