- From $80.60 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Excellent - What previous guests thought, 85 reviewsWe adored our time in Cocotinos, so much so that when a different part of our North Sulawesi trip fell through, we immediately went to book again at Cocotinos. The food is good and varied (Western, Indonesian, everything is well-made and available), the staff are sweet and polite and thoughtful, the dive shop and crew are solid, and the grounds + garden + pool + beach + rooms are all clean, in perfect shape, and welcoming.Guest review byA McGSingapore

So much to see not only in the Manado area but also islands, beaches and villages in the hills. Spent a total of 10 days there and so many more attractions I want to visit. Food options are great though quite a few eateries do not have aircon, so be prepared for that. Transport is easy and affordable. Wide range of accommodation options to suit budget. Would suggest out of main city centre not a bad idea because rates drop but quality is high. People very friendly.Guest review byMarkAustralia - 8.0

Well, a week is certainly enough to get your fill of Bunaken itself, but as soon as you take your eyes out of the water, it is clear that the area has much more to offer with dramatic volcanic mountains lining the Manado Bay. We visited the Tunan waterfall and spent a day in Tangkoko National park, but I wished we could have also explored the highland towns, the Soputan and Lokon volcanoes and Lembeh strait. It is pretty impressive to have so many different experiences within 50 km from Manado.Guest review byIndraNetherlands - 10.0

Tomohon provides a diverse landscape to explore. From huge authentic traditional markets, hot mineral pools, mud pools, lakes, mountain treks, interesting historical sites, a distillery, rice fields and vast terraced vegetable growing areas. Easy to find good warangs and restaurant tips from our homestay owner.Guest review byJennyNew Zealand - 10.0
Manado is a vibrant and tourist oriented city.
Manado is a vibrant and tourist oriented city. The good options are excellent with a wonderful de variety of restaurants with culturally diverse cuisine. The local restaurants along the ocean foreshore are very cheap but the food is amazing and the connection with locals adds to the experience. Great exchange rates on Aussie dollar. When looking at tourist places to see don’t just stay in Manado city go out to places like Tomahon and Tondano the scenery up in those places is exceptional.Guest review byMarkAustralia - 10.0

Bunaken is a lovely island and central port of call for the surrounding Marine Reserve. It has a lively small village and a range of accommodation options. We are not divers but we understood that the diving was fantastic. We do enjoy snorkeling and were able to be taken by boat to snorkel in several varied locations. A highlight was “turtle city”, where we saw at least a dozen turtles on the edge of the reef.Guest review bySethAustralia - 8.0

A beautiful island with an underwater world like nowhere else in the world. wherever you put your head under water, you will find a beautiful coral reef. A very safe island, as a woman I was not afraid to go anywhere alone. The local people are very polite. Great food at great prices rent motorbikes and see the whole island. on Bunaken are NO cars restaurants don't have a big menu, but everything is always fresh. diving here doesn't cost much, you should definitely try it (even without a license) snorkeling is amazing. there is no ATM here, but some restaurants will give you cash for 5%. when paying by card in a restaurant they charge 3% (but not everywhere you could pay by card). in general stores you could only pay in cash.Guest review bySlimo-BASlovakia
