Staff and their hospitality. Room and toilet smelt awesome . Food provided at the hotel tasted good. Free covered parking for cars provided. They lovingly felicitated my husband with traditional Assamese shawl. 😊 WiFi was really good. Television,air conditioner and fan worked well too. Property located in a very central location. Good for some, maybe crowded for others. Didn’t matter to us. Thanks to Mr. Manav K and his team.

The food, the staff, the location!!! One of the best foods I have had in similar-sized hotels. The staff was so friendly and ever-smiling. Didn't feel the need to go out and eat as kitchen offered a wide variety of food along with snacks over the bar.

The Brahmaputra Riverfront Park is worth visiting after 4 PM to enjoy a magnificent sunset view. Currently, some construction work is going on, so there is noticeable dust in the air. If one is not very religious but still wishes to visit Kamakhya Temple, it may not be practical to wait in the free darshan queue for more than 5 hours. Instead, visitors can explore the temple surroundings, take photographs and experience the spiritual atmosphere. Those who prefer a quicker darshan option can enquire at the temple counter about official paid darshan tickets, which allow faster access. It is always advisable to follow the proper temple procedures rather than making informal payments. This way, you can manage your time better while still experiencing the significance of this sacred place. The cable car service across the Brahmaputra River offers a great aerial view and is worth experiencing. However, it does not stop at Umananda Temple island, so visitors should plan separately for boat serive if they wish to visit the temple. The Fancy Bazaar area is quite busy and crowded. However, the police personnel are very helpful and supportive in guiding tourists. Overall, a pleasant visit despite minor inconveniences.

I had a great experience staying at Backpackers Hostello. The rooms and dorms were very cozy and comfortable, and the bathroom was extremely neat and clean. The hosts, Ajit and Ritu, were very helpful—it didn’t feel like I was away from home at all.

Kaziranga is very easy to reach.

Kaziranga is very easy to reach. From Kolkata there is a daily flight to Jorhat ( 1 Hr 20 min) and then about 90 min drive from the Jorhat airport to the hotel. The day we reached (25th of December'25), it was already afternoon, so we just relaxed. Next day we took an elephant safari at Western zone ( whole area is subdivided into 4 zones - Western, Central, Eastern and Burapahar) at 6am and saw one horn Rino, Hog deer, wild elephant besides lots of birds. Same day we took a jeep safari to Central zone at 1:30 pm. and saw Rino, wild water Buffalo, various type of deer besides different species of birds. Next day we covered Burapahar and Eastern zone by Jeep with similar animal sighting.

Love city.

Love city. Tea gardens, city vibes in cafes around the city, Nimati ghar - sitting by the Brahmaputra and enjoying the view, Golf resort, Sukafa kshetra and Gibbon Sanctuary were some of the most loved places in Jorhat city.

Sivasagar is a historical town.

Sivasagar is a historical town. It was the capital of Ahom kingdom. From White House you can visit Panidihing Bird century, Pohugarh Migratory bird accumulation area. Ahom kongdom's buildings like Ranghor, Kareng ghar, Talatal ghar, Famous Shivdol, Sivasagar, Joysagar, Rudrasagar man made large lake size pond. Dekhowmukh, Disangmukh, Haraguri Sapori, all natural picnic spots besides river Dikhow and Disang. Can use White Paper Home stay as transit camp once visit upper Assamand Arunachal via Bogibeel and Dhala Sadiya Bridge on mighty Brahmaputra.

After reaching Silchar, I was shocked to see the pathetic urban infrastructure of the town which was further deteriorated due to muddy streets, open drains, broken and potholed roads, flooded roads with drain water. Overall, anything that turns living in a town into hell. Silchar is the dirtiest town of Northeast and the third dirtiest town of India as per an old article of 2019, link shared below. The main purpose of my visit was to the kamakya temple, which is crowded always. I was lucky to have the darshan in 2 hours. Umiam lake was nice and of course the brahma putra river boating.. Pobitora wild safariwas good and was able to see ryinos at 10 feet distance

My trip to Kaziranga National Park was truly special. What makes Kaziranga stand out is that it is still largely untouched by over-commercialization—you can genuinely feel nature in its purest form here. The greenery, the open landscapes, and the calmness of the place stay with you long after the trip ends. The people are warm, helpful, and naturally welcoming. There is a wide choice of stays ranging from hotels to beautiful homestays, and choosing the right location is important depending on the safari range you plan to visit. Kaziranga has three major safari ranges, each offering a unique experience: • Central Range (Kohora) – Best for spotting one-horned rhinoceros, elephants, and deer • Western Range (Bagori) – Higher chances of seeing tigers and wild buffalo • Eastern Range (Agaratoli) – A paradise for bird lovers with stunning landscapes Although Kaziranga has the world’s third-highest tiger density, spotting this majestic animal requires sheer luck. But even without a tiger sighting, the experience is incredibly rewarding. The elephant ride is a real highlight—you get to see rhinos from a very close and safe distance. It happens early in the morning, so it’s important to align your stay with the safari location for convenience. Add to this the many great food joints along the highways, and the trip becomes even more enjoyable. Jorhat is an attractive town, fast changing and developing...

Jorhat is an attractive town, fast changing and developing but still retains elements of its history and heritage. Fine buildings in the traditional style are still to be found, Gymkhana Club, Chameli Memsahab's Bungalow, Circuit House and many other smaller buildings still exist in the backstreets. Tea Gardens should be visited whenever possible
