The hotel’s restaurant, where we enjoyed both dinner and breakfast, was exceptional. The food and ambience exceeded our expectations, creating a truly memorable dining experience. The staff was highly attentive, ensuring impeccable service, while the diverse food and bar menu offered a wide range of enticing options. The hotel itself was stunning, with a beautifully designed pool and an incredible room that exceeded expectations. Loved it! So impressed. We were part of a large wedding booking and the team absolutely delivered! A most magical wedding, all helped by the outstanding JW team Shout-out Rahul Das from In-room Dining! Some delicious bits on that menu and friendly service. Rohit from the gym is outstanding! Felt like having a personal trainer at times! Much appreciated The entire Games Room team helped us get served and have great time while bowling. Thank you for the 2000rupee giftcard! When i talk to my friends about how special the hotel is, i start with the incredible Entrance experience. Then I mention the games room!

I initially took a room for a day, and then the owner of the hotel offered to stay for a long time. It is very good that with the help of him we found accommodation quickly for a long time. Polite and friendly host of the hotel. I don't mind late check-in, it always helps with everything, even just carrying heavy luggage. The accommodation is good in the Indian style, if something needed to be brought or added, the owner reacted very quickly to any requests. It is located in the busiest part of the main shopping street and 5 min. walk to the beach, which is very convenient and safe. Thank you so much for the accommodation and the courteous welcome. I recommend it to everyone, the price and quality match.

First time in Calangute and we made the mistake of staying...

First time in Calangute and we made the mistake of staying in the town centre. It’s a very busy and noisy road that runs down to the town beach and feels more like a mini city rather than a beach resort. The town beach is not great and yet it’s heaving with day visitors from the bus terminus. The beaches improve dramatically as you move away from the centre and just fifteen minutes walk north or south and the beaches are amazing. There are some reasonable and even good places to eat in the main town but the traffic noise is off putting. We loved our beach and beach bar just twenty minutes walk away and will stay to the south of Calangute town next time.

The beach was very clean better than last year as the local Council had staff on the beach. The beach shacks were good. Many to choose from. We used Ryans Shack which has been in business for over 30 years. Good Reastaurants, Fishmans Cove,Bending Bamboo,s, Jimbalaya, Mango Grove to name a few.

It is not easy to get around Anjuna, everything is very spread out and at night the wild dogs are quite agressive which I struggled with. I enjoy walking, but here you need to have a car / scooter or take lots of taxis. The market was good, we ate in nice restaurants like The Tanjore Tiffin (a bit more up market and we loved it), MS Slow Tide and Pirates Cafe on the beach. We also had a night out in Juna nightclub - good fun with great cocktails. Overall I didn't like Anjuna much, we were there in the low season and we struggled with getting around and all the dogs. It really depends what you're looking for, but for me Candolim was a better location and we left Anjuna early to return there.

In a sentence? A must-stay! Agonda Brown Sand is a delight. Perfectly situated by the sea (get one of the four rooms upstairs facing the ocean), exceptionally clean, with an amazing team looking after your every need, this place is highly recommended especially if you want to be on the south end of Agonda beach. The guys running the restaurant are great - special mention to Raul and Pratash, who both went out of their way to be helpful, courteous and kind. The food is excellent. A friend who visited one day said our lunch there had been the best she’d had in her three week trip to Goa. The team looking after the rooms, headed up by the kind Elinda, were so lovely and couldn’t have been more helpful. Everyone, from the manager, the beautiful smiling girl on reception, to the kind man on the gate who waved me in and out every day, are the very best you could wish to meet and hope for at a hotel. Highly recommend!
