It was my first time in India, and choosing the Taj was the best decision I could’ve made. The team made me feel cared for from the first moment—I even asked when to return to see the mountains green, as in May they matched the golden Ganga!
As a solo traveler, I was touched by the thoughtful precautions—calls screened by reception, safety tips about monkeys, and a direct contact from security (thank you, Himanshee!). My villa was perfectly placed between yoga and reception, with a stunning Ganges view. Pawan and his team kept it pristine, adding lovely local spa treats and always stocking my favorite tea. Morning tea on the balcony became a cherished ritual.
Hi-tea with Helmata-ji was a daily delight—black tea with ginger and cardamom, always divine. I also loved discovering the espresso machine, sipping a cappuccino by Bhagwat while gazing at the Himalayas—pure magic.
Staying longer, the Rock Flour team quickly tuned in to my tastes. Special thanks to Dipak Kumar Singh for crafting fresh, healthy off-menu dishes that truly pampered my palate. Everyone’s kindness and smiles made me feel right at home.
I came for “me-time,” and the daily yoga, meditation, and sound healing—plus private sessions—were everything I hoped for. Shivani, your guidance turned my stay into a true retreat. You are both a gifted teacher and now, a friend.
For adventure, Jitendra’s team offered great experiences. Trekking with Ajay, a passionate mountaineer, was a highlight—sharing local lore, spotting wildlife, and guiding me to a village temple, even across the river by inflatable boat!
All in all the stay at Taj Rishikesh was exceptional!

The hotel location is excellent offering best of both the worlds. its surrounded by lush greenery and dense tree cover and yet it is close to the bustling and happening hill station of Mussoorie.
The breakfast was a lavish spread of various cuisines - continental, north Indian and south Indian. The presentation and layout was immaculate and the preparation was lip smacking.
Above all the staff was ever ready to help and always had smiling faces. All in all a memorable experience - would definitely come again.

Great Hotel just a few minutes from Mall Road. Very professional staff and able to help you out anytime. Breakfast spread was amazing. Room spacious having amazing views to the valley. Hotel is huge with lots of room options.
Special note: Last day of our stay our daughter was not well and the hotel staff went the extra mile to ensure that we helped. They sent one of their guys with us in the car to ensure that we were helped out on the route and at the hospital. Much appreciated.

Ease, the staff. Gym was superb, location- I ended up giving a video testimonial.
What I loved was, my daughter was talking with a friend till about 4 am (teenagers!!)
And the security guy asked her to use the banquet hall! I mean the care and calmness these folks have - who does it!
So I would recommend this anytime!
And yea, they gave us late (VERY LATE) checkout by 4 hours at 800 rs.. which is really cool!

great. We had dinner and breakfast and both were outstanding. the room was spacy and very comfortable. Notice there is a big renovation in the hotel, but we did not hear the construction and it did not disturb us. We certainly felt we got our money's worth.

Incredible location in Landour. Stayed in the Rhododendron Suite. Beautiful view over the valley with sunsets visible right from the room. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. Food at Emily’s was consistently good. Tea garden and the afternoon tea was a treat. An amazing place to stay for a few days away. Will definitely be back!

I liked the property, it's very beautiful and well maintained. The staff are excellent and extremely helpful. I would suggest adding more modern facilities to existing rooms, like adding a fully enclosed shower so the whole bathroom doesn't get wet.

It was good stay there in Echor Baris resort, still waiting for my GST invoice which receptionist told me it will be online shared by booking site. although property is good some issues regarding parking, breakfast option limited and the money charge for this stay is not justifying the value of money, should have maximum approx. 3500/night which I paid more than 8000/ night excluding GST.

I visited hardiwar to take bath in hari ki pauri and visit temples in hardiwar. I stayed 2 nights in hardiwar on my yatra to Kedarnath and badrinath. I enjoyed stay in this property which was less cost with more facilities.
On my return back from yatra after a week, I could not get the room in this property and stayed in another hotel where I paid more and not good.

Cool nice place for a quiet clean air quality and noise free stay within a green jungle area. Kulchas, Tasty Tea, Maggie, biryani, local food, FRUITS, at decent prices all over. Charm of Safari and Tiger is in air. Not too hilly to reach, like mussorie, nainital or shimla. Plain fast access but feel of a real hill station through out for kilometres.

Beautiful. Jab maan mein shor ho, tab pahado par chale jaana chahiye, pahad sunte hai shaanti se. Kuch kehte nahi bas khade rehte hai aur sunte hai..
It's a beautiful place and and I completed it in 1.5 days. I went to Bhulla tal, St. Mary's Church, and Tip and Top point on day 1. On day 2, I went to Tarkareshwar temple and Chinbau waterfall. There wasn't anyone!! So, I immersed myself completely along with all my worries let the water carry everything away from me.

The amount of coniferous tree cover in hawalbagh & Kasardevi temple area is astonishingly large. The plethora of temples and local faith around them is surprising, and gives a strong cultural tinge to Almora. We missed Dussehra festivities by a whisker, as we were too tired after a walk in Simtola eco park.

Stayed at Sitara Premium recently and honestly didn’t expect this level of quality. It’s a new hotel, but everything feels premium.
What I loved:
• Rooms: Brand new, spotless, and the aesthetics are genuinely beautiful. Modern design, comfortable bedding, no wear-and-tear.
• Cleanliness: 10/10. Room, bathrooms, lobby — everything was immaculate.
• Staff: Extremely courteous and professional. A special mention to Mohit at reception — he’s a true all-rounder and handled everything so courteously from check-in to every small request. The whole team made us feel welcome.
• Location: Prime location, yet surprisingly quiet. Plus they have on-site parking, which is a huge relief in this area.
For a new property, they’ve nailed the basics and the details. Highly recommend Sitara Premium if you’re visiting Rishikesh. Will definitely stay again.
