Czech RepublicEverything was great – we were very happy with our stay. We chose the farm because of its location, on the way to the Landmannalaugar.
The rooms and bathrooms were clean, and the surrounding countryside was beautiful. The owner was kind, welcoming, and attentive. He offered us a tour of the farm, which includes a stunning canyon and a herd of horses we were allowed to pet.
Staying at the farm was a wonderful choice – we’d be happy to come back again.

Super comfortable with an amazing view! The private hot tub and the sauna make for an even better experience. Stefan was very kind and helpful for any questions we had. He even went as far as to send us some information about the northern lights activity that night. Overall we definetly recommend and would go back anytime!

We loved the homey feel to the hotel, with communal parts being shared, which was a unique touch. The room was gorgeous and the staff was lovely. We even saw the northern lights!

We are family of 5 and the cottage is spacy, well equipped, modern and very comfortable. We arrived very late, but it was not problem at all, everything was ready and prepared. We have received very useful and exhaustive load of information prior to our arrival, thus everything was very easy for us.
I really appreciate an efford in waste sorting, everything was clear and super-useful.
There is a number of basic foodstuff in the cottage, so you don't need to buy everything from a scretch.
We also appreciated the dryer, very useful in October!

Location ,breakfast,reception,place value everything was more than perfect also the staff were more than friendly and co-operative. Furthermore, they helped us with our plan which we did for the activities and the place we want to see by booking and advising. The hotel is in the countryside but you will find a markts and resturats along with gas stations very nearby.

I have driven through on numerous occasions but never...
I have driven through on numerous occasions but never stopped. I was pleasantly surprised by the place. Lovely view of the lake adequate local facilities close by and only a half hour drive to Geyser and Gullfoss.

Small very comfortable property which is ideally situated to the famous attractions of Gullfoss, Geysir, Thingvellir and a number of smaller sites.
The hot tub with unrestricted access was.very welcome.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful accommodation, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. From the moment I arrived, the host's warmth and kindness made me feel right at home.
One of the standout moments of my stay was the breakfast. Not only was it delicious, but the host went above and beyond to accommodate my dietary needs by baking lactose-free bread just for me. I was truly stunned by her thoughtfulness and dedication to ensuring a delightful experience.
In a world where hospitality can sometimes feel impersonal, this host's genuine care and attention to detail made my stay truly exceptional. I can't recommend this place enough for anyone seeking a memorable and heartwarming stay.

Lovely home full of character and spacious living area. Garden was beautiful and we used the hot tub every night. Loved it.
Do your food shopping before you arrive as there are no local shops. Selfoss is a good place to stock up.
Make sure you stop into Skalholt- good views, nice archeological sites and a good bistro.

Location was great.
Location was great. Very close to all Golden circle attractions. Very quiet and peaceful place. The hotel was converted from former catholic school. The property has Catholic church on a turf house on site. Our room was big with skylights that could be closed at night. There are a lot of sitting areas with comfy chairs and fireplace and even a piano for gatherings. Dinner was very tasty. Breakfast was excellent. Stuff worked very efficiently. We liked this place very much and recommend it.

We loved the hot tub and sauna.
We loved the hot tub and sauna. It was practical that one of the bathrooms was outside so easy to access from the pool. One of the bedrooms was in a separate cabin which was actually a big hit among our teenagers. Inside the villa, there are beds for 8.
The view to the lake and quiet and peaceful location was just perfect for our extended family of 10.

Laugarvatn is in an excellent location between the national park to the west, and Geysir and Gulfoss Waterfall to the east. It has a beautiful view of the lake and the surrounding hills, a few restaurants, gas, and plenty of lodging.

We loved everything! The glass bubble and the hot tub outside are fantastic additions to this lovely cottage. Our host was very helpful and patience, response quick. We had the most amazing and memorable 3 nights here!

We had an incredible 7 night stay at Elín & Börkurs property...
We had an incredible 7 night stay at Elín & Börkurs property! The view of the river is extremely beautiful, so relaxing and the perfect setting to enjoy the hot tub and some Aurora spotting. We travelled as two families, a group of nine in total, and the property was perfect for us. The two shower rooms (one en-suite) and four bedrooms worked well. The hot tub is always ready to go so really handy not to have to wait for 30 minutes - 1 hour for it to heat up. Washing machine and dryer available to use, just need to bring some washing tabs / liquid. Plenty of toilet roll, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash available to use, as well as kitchen towel and cleaning products to keep things tidy during our stay. Plenty of spare towels and bed linen available which was appreciated whilst travelling with children. A travel cot and high chair were made available for us to use on request.
It was a fantastic base to explore the golden circle, the secret lagoon and all that South Iceland has to offer - we even managed a day trip to Jokulsarlon ice lagoon and the diamond beach (four hours away), with a couple of stops along the way. The local pool in Selfoss, recommended by Elín, was a hit with the children, especially the slides, diving boards, and indoor pool. The adults loved it too - we would recommend it!
And finally the pre-arrival information was really helpful. Elín & Börkur were very patient and on hand to help with anything we needed during our stay. We will definitely be back, thank you!

Reykholt is a nice little village on the golden circle.
Reykholt is a nice little village on the golden circle. It has a little grocery shop in the petrol station with hot dogs and ice cream. There are also the Mika and Friðheimar restaurants, both worth a visit. The outdoor swimming pool, playgrounds and sport facilities are fantastic for the kids. Take a short walk up to the top of the hill for some amazing views.
