The view from the hotel was beautiful. Rooms were nicely furnished and clean, we had everything what we needed. the size of the room was comfortable even with the extra bed and small crib for our kids. We liked the pizza in the evening and the breakfast was also really good. I can only recommend this facility in Cadore area if you prefer calmer atmosphere.

We reserved the room last minute and were surprised at the quality given the price. The owners were incredibly kind and reactive. I asked about a masseuse nearby and they went personally to ask their hours and reserve a séance. We had an early bus and the owner opened the breakfast buffet earlier to accommodate us.

The hotel has met all of our expectations; it’s located in the centre of Santa Fosca and all the rooms are with the spectacular view on the Dolomites …breathtaking❤️What’s the most impressive is the atmosphere - feels like home With the smell of delicious cake baked every day :) delicious espresso served by Patrik :) and the Italian hospitality from the hotel owners. Not to mention the cleaning standard (shiny and glossy floors; linen changed )

Receptionist, Melissa, was extremely helpful and friendly. Hotel looked brand new inside. We had pizzas in the bar, rather than in the hotel restaurant, which were excellent. Bar staff were also friendly.

Alleghe is dominated by the beautiful Civette mountain.

Alleghe is dominated by the beautiful Civette mountain. We went in late Jun and a few shops were not fully open. We enjoyed the pizzeria (Pasticceria Da Pian) and Enoteca Alleghe, both on the main square but the Hotel Alle Alpi did not suit us. There is one small supermarket that is well stocked with a great variety. The tourist office was not well stocked for walking information but the Outdoor Active app sufficed for the walks we did - but note that mapping data (Tabacco and OSM) is not up to British Ordnance survey standards. It's a good walk up the mountain but do it once then take the lift on future days to enjoy the many high level routes, but check the lift prices if on a tight budget. We had a car and were able to travel to other areas which was handy but not essential because we saw many buses and there are lots of walks in the area.

Lots of closed bars and restaurants. Small groceries - ok. Not many hiking roots in winter, of course. Not so good marking of the streets, vias, hikes, routes, restaurants. Good pizzeria Deny, would recommend.

We had an absolutely perfect experience during our 5-day stay at Garni Civetta, tucked away in the stunning Italian Dolomites. From the very first moment, we were warmly welcomed by the hotel owners, a truly kind couple who made us feel right at home. The location is perfect for exploring the beauty of the Dolomites. On top of that, the value for money is amazing – we got much more than we expected in terms of comfort and hospitality.

A simple and quaint little Dolomite village on the edge of...

A simple and quaint little Dolomite village on the edge of what used to be Buchenstein in the distant past. The village bar/pizzeria is worth going to, as is the Belvedere Grill and Al Crot in Selva de Cadore. The walking in the area is amazing. The drive to Cortina de Amprezzo over the Passo Giau stunning.

It was a great choice.

It was a great choice. Nice, up to date hotel with cozy and clean rooms. Great location to get to beautiful hikes around. Very nice breakfast. All stuff we met was very very friendly and helpful! We felt welcomed. Definetely recommend

The ski area of Monte Civetta is a middle size region, but providing nice conditions for both beginner and advanced skiers, In contrary to very famous destinations, such Sella Ronda or Predazzo is not so crowded.

Stunning views of the mountains and valley. Clean, comfortable, excellent location for hikers! A wonderful, friendly and helpful owner. Located in a lovely and quiet small village. Limited restaurants but a two-minute drive to a fantastic pizzeria/restaurant.

It is a cosy village between Ortisei and Cortina d'Ampezzo.

It is a cosy village between Ortisei and Cortina d'Ampezzo. Everyone is super nice, there are good restaurants, and amazing views of the mountains. There is a beautiful river across the village. I would recommend it for a nice, quite and relaxed stay, away from the main villages.

The scenery is absolutely stunning.

The scenery is absolutely stunning. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Whilst it may be too quiet for some and there is a relatively small number and variety of places to eat, it was all we needed for an amazing ski holiday.
