HungaryWe had a wonderful stay at Hotel Tofana. The hotel is a true sanctuary of peace — after long hiking days, we really appreciated the calm surroundings. Everything was spotless, thanks to the great work of the housekeeping team.
The staff were very friendly and always ready to help, which made us feel very welcome. The spa area was a highlight: two swimming pools, saunas, and stunning mountain views. The daily aufguss in the sauna was a special touch that made our stay even more relaxing.
The restaurant was excellent as well. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, and we highly recommend choosing the half-board option.
Overall, Hotel Tofana was the perfect place to rest, recharge, and enjoy the Dolomites. Highly recommended!

GermanyThis place is absolutely incredible. The room was a lovely old Italian room with character. We had an incredible view from our balcony. Everything was so clean and kept in such perfect condition. The staff were incredible and went above and beyond for us. The Sauna and spa was amazing after a long day hiking. And then of course the breakfast spread was amazing!! Cannot fault this place.

The apartment was perfect and had everything we needed. We were staying whilst taking part in a (running) race, so comfort was really important for us- I had been worried about the description of a “sofa bed” but it was in fact a proper bed (full-sized and very comfortable), which drops down in place of the sofa. Similarly, but bunk beds are fold-away, leaving you with more space if you don’t need them. There was a great hallway area inside the apartment with loads of room for jackets/ equipment etc if you were going skiing etc. The apartment was all perfectly clean, with plenty of towels. There were french doors out onto a grassy area which was nice in the sun (with views up to the snowy mountains), and parking was really easy. The town has a couple of bar/ restaurants in easy walking distance, which was really handy. Marco was very responsive to messages before our stay, and friendly and helpful during our stay. The apartment exceeded my expectations.

The hotel has met all of our expectations; it’s located in the centre of Santa Fosca and all the rooms are with the spectacular view on the Dolomites …breathtaking❤️What’s the most impressive is the atmosphere - feels like home With the smell of delicious cake baked every day :) delicious espresso served by Patrik :) and the Italian hospitality from the hotel owners. Not to mention the cleaning standard (shiny and glossy floors; linen changed )

The view from the balcony to the Alleghe lake was amazing. A lot of hiking trails in the area. In the back of the building within 30 min hike you can reach a very beautiful waterfall. The apartment is big, clean and very comfortable. There is a spacious covered parking place next to the building.

The service and accomodation was exceptional - nothing was too much trouble for the friendly owners and staff and we felt extremely well looked after. Facilities are pristine, tasteful and the environment luxurious. Breakfast was delicious.

Great location, right in the city center with easy access to supermarket, parking space, lots of restaurants, and just 10 minutes away from Alleghe Lake. Foods are also very good, both for the breakfast and our dinner.

Alleghe was a very quaint town on a lake with easy access to hikes. We appreciate the gondola which provided faster access to the hikes around Civetta. In the evening we liked to walk along the lake. The local residents were very friendly to us, and the grocery store was well stocked for what we needed. We did not eat in any of the restaurants.

We had an absolutely perfect experience during our 5-day stay at Garni Civetta, tucked away in the stunning Italian Dolomites. From the very first moment, we were warmly welcomed by the hotel owners, a truly kind couple who made us feel right at home.
The location is perfect for exploring the beauty of the Dolomites. On top of that, the value for money is amazing – we got much more than we expected in terms of comfort and hospitality.

A simple and quaint little Dolomite village on the edge of...
A simple and quaint little Dolomite village on the edge of what used to be Buchenstein in the distant past. The village bar/pizzeria is worth going to, as is the Belvedere Grill and Al Crot in Selva de Cadore. The walking in the area is amazing. The drive to Cortina de Amprezzo over the Passo Giau stunning.

The apartment is a section of beautifully restored old house. We got a duplex with kitchen and big living room in the first floor and bedroom and bathroom in a floor below. Everything new and well equipped to stay even longer vacations. We were staying just two days for skiing but we will definitively visit again in summer. It is a splendid starting point for bike tours. Thank you host!

Alleghe is dominated by the beautiful Civette mountain. We went in late Jun and a few shops were not fully open. We enjoyed the pizzeria (Pasticceria Da Pian) and Enoteca Alleghe, both on the main square but the Hotel Alle Alpi did not suit us. There is one small supermarket that is well stocked with a great variety. The tourist office was not well stocked for walking information but the Outdoor Active app sufficed for the walks we did - but note that mapping data (Tabacco and OSM) is not up to British Ordnance survey standards.
It's a good walk up the mountain but do it once then take the lift on future days to enjoy the many high level routes, but check the lift prices if on a tight budget. We had a car and were able to travel to other areas which was handy but not essential because we saw many buses and there are lots of walks in the area.

Stunning views of the mountains and valley. Clean, comfortable, excellent location for hikers! A wonderful, friendly and helpful owner. Located in a lovely and quiet small village. Limited restaurants but a two-minute drive to a fantastic pizzeria/restaurant.

The ski area of Monte Civetta is a middle size region, but providing nice conditions for both beginner and advanced skiers, In contrary to very famous destinations, such Sella Ronda or Predazzo is not so crowded.

The village didn't have much going on, but we explored around. We went to a restaurant 20 km away that I don't remember the name, but it was full of locals and the people was amazingly friendly. The name was Stua Sa Lace, in Cenci.

It was a great choice. Nice, up to date hotel with cozy and clean rooms. Great location to get to beautiful hikes around. Very nice breakfast. All stuff we met was very very friendly and helpful!
