Location was perfect, and the rooms was absolutely incredible. The staff was very friendly - an example was that we missed our breakfast on the first morning, but then they just arranged the breakfast on tables and served it in our room. We felt so spoiled and had a great time. The location is perfect. A short 3 minute walk from the big Duomo, and close to numerous restaurants and cafés. The hotel also offered complimentary snacks and drinks every afternoon. The service was absolutely fantastic.

Everything! Rafaela, Riccardo, Carlo and all the employees of the resort, including the reception and the restaurant make you feel home. The grounds of the hotel are clear, isolated, located in such a green-lush setting that you never want to leave. The sea is just by your step, and whenever you want to enjoy the sunset or walk by the beautiful Biadola, it’s there. It’s a perfect place for bohemian, easy going and quiet luxuries sense of treating yourself.

Green territory, modern equipped cabins and nice beach. It was quite cold in May, so we were glad that we could use air conditioner in a heat mode. Wi-fi worked well. Due to mid season check-in and check-out process didn’t take a lot of time. The deposit was paid by card, no cash needed, but there was an ATM just right to reception just in case. Restaurant offers large choices of pizza (and not only pizza) with a take away option.

A very beautiful city.

A very beautiful city. We visited at the end of February, and the weather was around 4 degrees in the morning and 14-15 degrees during the day. Sunny. Thanks to the sun, the city was bathed in gold. The soft light from the yellow and cream-colored walls of the houses and tiled roofs...very beautiful. The city has many attractions. We bought an audio guide for Florence from the Turingbee app and walked around the city with it. We visited all the cathedrals. We had booked tickets for the Uffizi Gallery, the Academy of Fine Arts, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. Try to eat outside the tourist areas; the city has some amazing trattorias that locals frequent, the food is delicious and much cheaper., and Giotto's Chapel in advance of our visit. We also took a pasta cooking class. It was amazing. Highly recommended. If you want to watch the sunset on the hill, go early to get a spot. All the touristy Florence crowds flock there at this time. Try to eat outside the tourist areas; the city has some amazing trattorias that locals frequent, the food is delicious and much cheaper.

Siena is a great place to visit even who those who live in Italy. The Cathedral is spectacular and the town is super interesting history. Lucca is unique in having it's walls in place which limits the amount of traffic in the town and makes it so walkable and accessible (compared to Verona). Evenings are busy with locals and people coming into the city. Weekends people walking the wall circuit. Flea market in the squares. Lots of churches to explore. Masses of restaurants, pasticcerias and cafes. Highlights: Museo Nationale di Villa Guinigi - a revelation. Botanical gardens - compact, quiet, in a corner of the walls Chiesa di San Francesco - now a college so easy access Lucca is a great base to get around Tuscany. Trains are reasonably efficient, clean and well priced try Pisa, Prato, Pistaio and Firenze. Easy for Viareggio and up/down the coast.

Viareggio was a perfect stop on our italy tour. A beautiful town, suburban, lovely big park in centre with plenty for kids to do in the summer. Gorgeous wide promenade with lovely shops, restaurants, cafe's and bars. Seriously picturesque town. Beach is huge, clean and incredible. It's also only 15 mins to Pisa and over an hour to Florence on train so great stop to explore. Loved Viareggio and would love to come back. Also very reasonably priced for food and drink. Loved Irenes place on the beach for delish cocktails watching the sun go down.

There's not a lot there. And when the cruise ships come in, it gets manic with people getting on busses. We'd a BAD experience with the inspectors that come on buses. They home in on tourist's, when they checked our tickets that we did on the card machine, though not our fault, we wanted 2 tickets, it gave us 1 and the called us crimenals

Prato has a lot of historic buildings, with lots of bars, cafes and restaurants hiding up side streets and in the squares. There’s also a large modern art gallery just outside - worth a visit if you like that kind of art. The railway station is a hub to get to all major cities - we travelled from Rome and then went on to visit Florence, Bologna and Pisa cheaply and easily.

Everything was a bit run-down and in need of restoration. The beaches and restaurants were almost entirely empty of people, so there was a a lack of excitement and "buzz" about the whole area. I might have expected this a month later, but not in September.
