Very nice hotel, walkable distance from the center, view on the fortress from the window, lovely garden. My room was super clean and quiet, it has a second door in the bedroom, the bed is amazing. My room had all the facilities that I could be needing - a hairdryer, a kettle, shampoo etc. the staff was helpful and attentive. They maintain rooms very nicely. I'm thankful and content with my stay!

The hotel was in a great location, easy walking distance to many attractions within the city walls. The reception staff were excellent. They assisted with dinner reservations, booking tickets for the opera and general suggestions regarding sightseeing. We had a car and were able to park on the property which was very helpful. Highly recommend

We picked this Hotel for a final two nights of a two week holiday. We were looking for a quiet relaxed few days before heading home and this did not disappoint. From the gorgeous pool to lovely gardens, plenty of spaces to just chill. Absolutely beautiful Hotel, and the service was quietly there all day when needed. Would recommend 100%.

FAQs about hotels in Siena

Romantic Renaissance

Located among undulating meadows and Chianti vineyards, Siena shines as a jewel of the Tuscan Renaissance, and has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Experience the famous Palio di Siena horse race, catch the pulse of the city at Piazza del Campo, visit the beautiful Duomo cathedral…and fall in love with this charming city!

Founded by Etruscans around 900 BC, the city was first conquered by Romans and later by Lombards. The Middle Ages saw it becoming the independent and flourishing Republic of Siena, until its annexation to the Grand Duchy of Tuscany.

The economic difficulties that followed turned out to be a blessing for the preservation of its historic centre. Adorned with frescoes by Ghirlandaio and bass-reliefs by Donatello, Lorenzo Ghiberti, and Jacopo della Quercia, the Duomo represents the highest expression of this well-kept legacy. The shell-shaped Piazza del Campo, with the Palazzo Pubblico and the Gaia Fountain, is still the heart and soul of the city. Follow the labyrinth of narrow streets and passages that irradiate from there and you will be enchanted by its romantic atmosphere from ancient times.

The closest airports are Peretola Airport in Florence and Galileo Galilei International Airport in Pisa, though Guglielmo Marconi Airport in Bologna is also well connected. While planning your trip, don’t forget to check out the Siena accommodation deals on Booking.com!

Siena is truly magical, just as everyone says.

Siena is truly magical, just as everyone says. You really need several days to explore it properly and take in all its beauty, as there are so many wonderful places to visit. Above all, a visit to the Siena Duomo is an absolute must, especially during the period when its magnificent marble floor is uncovered.

Great history, great people, great food!

Great history, great people, great food! Did I say great food sienna is a compact city and is easy to find your way around. The area contained within the walls is the central district and it is well kept in great condition and contains many historic sites. It is clean and well maintainedunlike some of Italy’s other towns. The food is excellent. We were given very good advice not to eat at the restaurants surrounding the Il Campo. They are fine for drinking, but the better restaurants with the better food are located within the many Contrada surrounding the center of the city. visit the El Campo, the sienna to Omo, and the City Hall as a good start. One restaurant we really liked was the.Osteria da Gano. The food and staff was excellent. They serve authentic regional dishes. Do not miss the papadelle with wild boar sauce, the roasted potatoes, the roasted vegetables, and their Bistecca Florintine.

Siena is one of those iconic Tuscan cities that, no matter where you go or what you see, there is always more. No matter your tastes and preferences, Siena has it all. It’s big enough to explore on foot, to get lost in, to experience life as the locals do, to avoid tourists or just tag along with the crowd. Amazing food, wine, architecture, culture, history and all with a joyful vibe. It’s the Renaissance era in modern full force!

Siena is a beautiful city with fantastic churches and medieval and renaissance buildings. The food is good. The streets are steep and narrow but that just adds to the atmosphere. If you go to see the Palio and pay for seats you will be thrilled with the experience.

We just happened to be there when they had 2 nights of (free) concerts at Il Campo. Hearing Rhapsody in Blue during dinner at the square was a highlight of our 3 week Italy trip. It was quite hot (upper 90s). Would recommend the packaged tickets to allow access to mulitple museums all close to each other. The Medici Fort was not too far away. A great place to view the sunset while strolling the battlements. There are also food and drinks there. It is where the locals go! A great place for an evening out.

Siena was amazing.

Siena was amazing. A beautiful, historic town with so much charm! Restaurants were delicious and shopping was great! Visiting the duomo and the climbing the tower were highlights. Staying just outside of Siena at the beautiful Tenuta Larnione winery estate was beyond anything I could have dreamed up. The landscape is amazingly breathtaking, photos do not do it justice.

The hotel was in a great location inside the walls of Siena. The deluxe room was roomy, very comfortable bed, and nice big bathroom. We loved the beautiful big courtyard overlooking the Tuscan countryside where we enjoyed drinks and the sunset. Complementary breakfast was an unexpected delight - very generous and tasty. The service was excellent we helpful directions instructions on getting to the hotel and to the hotel's private parking - a huge boon in Siena with the strict ZTL.

The hotel was a perfect base for us to explore Siena. It was easy to get a local bus into the city, there was plenty of parking and restaurants nearby. All the staff were very helpful and friendly, especially the 2 ladies on reception (Maddelena, the other lady I apologise to because I can’t remember her name). Maddelena told us the best restaurants in the area, the local dishes to try, where the bus stop was etc.
