Extremely clean and modern facility, spectacular bedrooms with all anyone may need, wonderful finishes and very well furnished with an absolute taste of design. On top of everything, the staff was very kind and helpful, having our satisfaction as their number one priority. Also. We ate at their restaurant Le Bolle, in the bubbles. And it’s been a unique experience. We will definitely come back.

GermanyWe had a lovely stay and the staff was extremely nice. There are two breakfast options, we chose the breakfast which you can enjoy in your room, and we absolutely loved it every day. We asked for a few adjustments since we were travelling with our baby, and the staff made everything possible.
The location was perfect - it was a short walk into the centre, you were right at the pier (we also had a lake view), and there was enough parking in front as well. We can absolutely recommend this hotel and will definitely come back!

Good breakfast and the staff were all amazing with a big smile at the reception, provided help as much as they can.

BulgariaAmazing little hotel right in front of the lake and a nice 20-minute walk to the centre (walking all the time by the lake in a parj park with great view). It's exactly in front of the hotel that the boats and ferries to Isola Bella and the other islands depart (there are different companies that take you to the islands, be aware of people claiming they provide the "official" boat tours and make your research). The hotel is very good and comfortable with great breakfast and nice staff. We would definitely go back.

Villa Le Vignole feels like one of these enchanted places that don't exist for real. The villa itself comes with plenty of rustic charm. The views over the lake are magnificent, and on clear days you can even see the big mountains too, including Monte Rosa. The hosts are very kind, hospitable and discreet, leaving the guests plenty of space to roam around in the garden.
Several minutes walk away is the little village deli shop, where the lovely shop owner can make sandwiches for you. It's also fun to roam around the area and discover other quaint villages.
The property pets is what makes the place truly magical. Having read about the cats, I was secretly hoping for some feline encounters and this wish had definitely been fulfilled tenfold. At least a couple of cats are serious lap cats even with strangers and almost all of them will come say hello. We took the ground floor apartment, thinking it might maximise encounters with the kitties and were not mistaken there! The cats and dog were basically queuing up at the doorstep for cuddles. Some of the pets are rescues and it totally melted my heart to see this much kindness towards animals.

Located in the village of Pettenasco, this studio apartment is literally by the lake. The studio is modern and comfortable. The balcony overlooks directly to the lake. The Cascina allows direct access to the lake for swimming and water sports like kayaking. The studio is equipped with a small kitchenette which is very convenient for heating up simple ready to eat meals and making hot drinks. Checking in was a breeze and the hosts allowed us to check in earlier than anticipated. Both Carolina and Francesca were both very hospitable and gave us a warm welcome. The car parking is about 50 meters away from the accommodation and there is a gate for security reason. There are plenty of walks and hikes around the area.
We highly recommend this Cascina to any traveller staying in Orta San Guilo.

Casa di Lago was just exactly what we hoped for - and more - just a short walk from the centre of town where the most difficult thing was deciding which restaurant to eat at. We loved our small terrace where we could breakfast or occasionally lunch - and the views from all of the bedroom balconies. But the best part for us was the private lakeside garden - I wouldn’t recommend it for children who cannot swim, as there is no really ‘shallow end’ - but for us it was simply bliss - time for a much needed relax. Reception staff were charming and very responsive, and there was free parking a short distance away. I can’t wait to return, hopefully bringing family and friends.

All I can say is wow !! Our room was fabulous from the decor and the comfortable beds to the awe inspiring views from our balcony. I didn't want to leave. There was such an array of foods for breakfast and they made the very best omelette that I have ever tasted. The views from all the restaurants are breathtaking especially the Rooftop restaurant. Wonderful pool and deck area rounded out our perfect stay.

The location and B&B had been highly recommended by a friend, and we were not disappointed. Our very clean room was a good size with plenty of light. It had a balcony and a stunning outlook over to the lake across a private garden that belongs to the B&B and is for the use by its guests. The breakfast was outstanding and the host, Massimo, is very obliging and helpful. We hope to stay here again!

The Approdo is superbly located by the Cinderella lake, Lago D’Orta. Rooms are clean, comfortable, quiet and the staff very helpful. The Buffet breakfast catered for all nationalities with a great choice of food. Staff at the pool shack made an iced espresso that kept the energy levels up. Can’t fault this property.

Excellent location and easy to get to from the Milian airport. The front desk staff went above and beyond to facilitate our family. We have an 11 month old and they were incredible helping us meet her needs. The pool facility is wonderful. The views are 10/10. So easy to walk every where.

I really liked the room, very clean, quiet and with an amazing hydro tub close to the bed :)
Anyway, what I loved more was the kindness of the staff. In particular, Sandra saved our wedding anniversary not once but twice! Thank you and thanks to everyone at the property!!

The location is amazing and also historic. Be sure to read about the family and their history in the area, as well as running the hotel for over 200 years. The staff was 5-star. The views around the piazza and town are gorgeous.

The hotel was in a perfect location. Beautifully decorated and maintained. The whole lake area was beautiful. A delight to wander around the shops, eat at cafes and restaurants and the pathways to walk around the lake are great. The markets were fun to wander.

Pettenasco is a lovely low key destination.
Pettenasco is a lovely low key destination. You can swim in the lake and take a ferry to other destinations on the lake. There is also a supermarket in walking distance and a few bars and restaurants. The views are beautiful

Omegna may not be as picturesque as Orta San Giulio, for example, but it has lovely bars and restaurants serving excellent food, as well as beautiful spots for swimming. It’s also lively, and you don’t feel like you’re in a tourist trap. It’s a great starting point for mountain bike tours and excursions around the Lago d'Orta or the Lago Maggiore. We really enjoyed it.

We only had one nights stay at the hotel as a stopover...
We only had one nights stay at the hotel as a stopover coming from france travelling down through Italy, however it was exactly what we expected and more. A really lovely location with a great aspect, Monte Bianco was viewable from our room balcony. it was very clean and the staff were helpful. the food was nice, however i would of liked to seen an itemised bill for our food, when we checked out. On retrospect i'm not sure if i was overcharged slightly for our dinner. If that was the case its partly my fault for not enquiring further. Having said this we would definitely return if we took this route again. Peaceful and enjoyable stay with clean nice rooms.

We stayed in Alzo, part of Pella apparently, but its own little village up the hill somewhat on the west side of Lago d'Orta. The square looks over the lake: fantastic view with a small village feeling. Post office, lodging choices, church, dining (Osteria del Gallo), bank, all a short drive down to Pella or up more to the homes and sights high above.

Loved the building we stayed in and the hosts were lovely and informative. The area is less touristy than Como and has a peaceful charm about the place. Some of the restaurants in Orta were less than charming but that can happen anywhere. Next time we would stay longer and explore the hiking potential.

Gozzano is a nice place, but I would recommend visiting with a car so you can explore the surrounding area more easily. There are very few sidewalks, so walking around is not always convenient. Omegna felt a bit more developed and easier to get around. The paid beach is quite expensive, so I would recommend looking for free beaches instead. There are many good options nearby.

I had a lovely stay.
I had a lovely stay. The location is perfect and I spent quite some time on my balcony which overlooked the lake. The breakfast was delicious and the attention to detail excellent. Massimo is a great host.

Perfect for relaxing and exploring a real treat to swim in the lake we explored the lake on paddle boards and kayak supplied by hotel.
